Absolutely loving these video's of the SWCP this was one of my dreams to do but unfortunately no longer able to due to my health so thank you for documenting your journey so I can do it with you 🙂
Loving watching your journey Paul. We started beginning of this month but will probably take us 8 years to complete a couple of weekends a year. Would love to do a whole week. Your day 2 was a nemesis in torrential rain! But we ploughed on and felt great but broken by Lynmouth. Your videos give us an opportunity to mentally plan ahead. Can’t wait to see more.
Hi Kerry. I will be doing lots of day hikes and weekend walks on my quest to complete it. Circumstances this year meant I had the time to do this week for my holiday. I was disappointed when I had rain as I felt I was missing out on seeing it at its best, but I was wrong and realised it gave me different things to appreciate. Thank you for watching and good luck with your journey.
I love the sea and every day it was looking amazing. I wish I had more time on these walks to spend on the beaches. I have just started your heart of England walk series.
Thanks Matthew. You must be excited to start. Footwear is a personal choice. No one can tell you one is better than the other. Personally I prefer trail shoes as they are lighter and over the longs distance don’t tire your legs. I also like the agility they offer over chunky boots. I do sometimes miss the extra ankle support of a boot but not enough to switch. The trail shoes I wear are Gore-tex so still offer protection from rain, wet grass etc.
Lovely!!! I like airbnbs, one of my favorites was in Weymouth, there was a round window looking out over the sea. Good walking tomorrow. Take care with the hotspots on your feet!

Thank you. It’s so nice to hear that you are enjoying them. I often mention “we” in my videos as I do feel like we are all walking it together.
What fabulous weather for walking Woolacombe Sands. We trudged through the dunes there on a windy spring day, much easier walking on the beach 👍.
I did the dunes for a while but it was such a beautiful morning that it felt like I was missing out and so I went on the beach instead.
Loving watching your jou
Lovely video :) And an amazing AirB&B :-)
It was great. Owned by a nice couple who were very friendly and interested in my walk.
Nice one, The sea dip looked very invigorating, still no Bath!
The sea was great. I think it helped with my aches.

Love the video. Will be following in your footsteps next weekend. Do you find trail shoes adequate rather than boots?. Cheers.

Thank you Kellian. Do you remember the name of the place you stayed at in Weymouth?
18 miles with a bad hip not the most sensible thing to do
I wouldn’t advise it. Thankfully it seemed to ease after I had a dip in the sea.
