GoolRC issue with Programming card and ESC Part 1

- This is a 1:12 scale RC car that I decided to upgrade with a GoolRC 3500KV brushless motor and 60 amp ESC that is having issues calibrating and beeping excessively. It also does not work with the GoolRC programming card.

@tenrc7779 You need the programming card with 10, 16 or 17 options, the little black boxes with 10 leds and buttons that say iten and value and ok and reset. Apparently these escs are "smarter" than the old ones, all depends on what microcontroller the esc uses to control everything.
Adjust your trim. And your transmitter shouldnt be so close to the reciever

I have the same issue! The problem is that the card is apparently way too old for the newer escs, it sucks, you need a 1 to 4 not a 1 to 18 esc( whatever that means) i just heard about it when I asked for help!

Maybe try the card I used in my recent video. That esc looks similar to mine too. Sounds like a bad esc to me tho
I have a goolrc esc and everytime I turn it on it goes perfectly fine then after a couple seconds it slows down until I can't go forward anymore can someone help me
Battery can't sustain enough output amps current to supply esc.

I had the same thing happen and all I did was set the throttle trim to 0 and then it was just fine. I don’t know about the card though.
Did you do it while calibrating the esc, or calibrating the remote to reciever
I got the same problem with one of my cars and even a car to where the ESC was not beeping like that and the programming card would not work..
Charles Stroud...i have a radio link controller and I increased the braking to 75 %n mine started that red light beep...after I reduced the braking to 30%then it stopped...probably too late to the party but it worked for me

The one thing you could check and I ended up doing it after the video because I kept getting hesitation or cogging. I found out that the wires coming from the GoolRC ESC and motor weren’t soldered correctly/good and the red and yellow wire were backwards. I am not impressed with the craftsmanship of GoolRC. I have not been able to get a programming card to work either. I even bought an additional one. I have since Upgraded to a more bash friendly RC vehicle.😂
Go with surpass hobby. Still cheap but better quality. Just my opinion.
I had the same problem and everything started working when I turned the controller off and on
Watch the other parts of this video series and make it work properly.
Mine did the same thing I had the water turned around backwards in the transmitter
Did that burn out your ESC?
I did solve the problem, but the ESC still will not work with the programming card.
What was the problem? I'm having the same issue
Hey Jared, so a couple things to try.
Remote must be on first.
1) center steering and throttle trim to the center position.
2) This next part doesn’t make any sense to me, but it worked! I have a GoolRC remote. On the top of the controller there’s an ST (N R) and TH slide button( N R). Set these both to (R). Strange I know, but it worked.
3) One thing that does happen is when I turn the remote off before the car the car just keeps running so I always have to shut the car off first not sure why it does this but what I can say is this car is extremely fast with these upgrades, they just work a little corky. Mine does the exact same thing
That card is the wrong one. Get the right card to program and you need to do the calibration first.
I tried a couple different programming cards at that time. No luck. Got it to calibrate in PART 2 I’m unfortunately way past this car.
@@tenrc7779 Damn I had the same problem with that card and that combo! I used the other GoolRC card and it worked after reset and calibration. Sorry to hear man!
I have the same issue with a 35A ESC and that card.
Adjust throttle trim
When my trim is zero it hates it. My transmitter tells me the actual output of uS. Itsdead in the middle . Why this esc doesn't have a calibration on the button amazes me.
