Boreland’s stage presence along with his precision is unmatched, I don’t think I ever heard him mess up live like seriously, every video it’s perfect and he still finds ways to change riffs and expand on them in breakdowns, he is the bizkit sound
I lived in a hospital room for 2 months when staying with my sick father. That's when I found Limp Bizkit. They're music and videos saved me from going crazy. I would lay on the couch at night and quietly study them. Thank you so much for being there for me. Peace ✌
Say what u want about them, trash them, call them talentless, whatever you want, they OWNED the stage that night. You can never take this away from them. Shit kicks ass
Durst was a good frontman he rocked the crowd like very few could. Was he a douche who over achieved? Sure. But Sam, Otto and Wes are supremely talented. Especially Otto and Wes who are great musicians.
It’s honestly perfect, the notes were all hit perfectly. It felt smooth and powerful and it got em all going. Being a Zoomer a part of me wishes to have been alive in this time to see them live as a teen or young adult. Prime of our lives, unleashing all that energy. I’m grateful I’m alive now to appreciate though, and I’m hoping to get tickets to one of their concerts for next year in August since they’re coming down to a close-by city here in Florida!
What a time to be alive. Some of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen in person. I still get chills watching this stuff because I was just a kid with my entire life in front of me. My best friend and I drove to Woodstock 99 with a tank full of gas, a couple credit cards and probably $200 cash. We had no clue what was coming our way. Limp Bizkit got a lot of blame for the violence, riots and fallout but let me tell you- by mid day Friday after they confiscated our food, water and alcohol it was only a matter of time before it exploded.
Yeah dude they fucked themselves doing what they did. Also, sorry but you didn't book a 60s style woodstock lineup, you basically booked a rock/metal show, us metal heads get fucking nuts when you treat us like that. Get what you give. I've been to mayhem fest 7 times now, im 33 so remember before and after the digital age came, but one thing has always stayed the same, metal shows you will never ever control. Every year everyone started stealing the coolers from the vendors because water bottles were 12bucks a bottle, free water stations always break, no shade (in texas mind you) so yeah, it's gonna get crazy. One of my friends ended up in hospital for days due to heat stroke. Rockstar energy was giving out FREE drinks so we were downing those because it was something cold. What a stupid move is that. The medics every year get overwhelmed too. Just piss poor organization
This didn't confiscate water or food, they just quadrupled the prices lol. 12-15 bucks for a bottle of water in 90°+ degree temps. They were asking for the shit that went down if ya ask me.. 🤷 One hell of a party though fr 🤘😂
The universal mark of a good band is how their live performances compare to the studio album, and this video is solid evidence of why LB defined the genre.
A lot of shit got tossed on durst, not just for this concerts but this genre as well. But the dude could sing and his shows were on point. His singing voice was strong and sounded like the albums.
23 years... I ate a shit ton of mushrooms and sold cold beer 2 for 5 bucks from a ice filled army duffel bag cuz everyone was getting ripped off on water.. Got wasted and went home with way more money than I started with lol! Fun times... Miss them days for sure. The late 90s was a blur
Legendary set of music it's a shame some bad things happened during it this was definitely the highlight of the set in my opinion. This song holds more water today than an ocean
One of the event reps told Fred at some point during the show “can you take it down a notch” or something like that. So Fred did the exact opposite and put on probably the best show of his career 🤟
As a late teenager i understood the hate for limp bizkit.... But as an 33 year old i just look back at their success with Joy. I mean metal went mainstream thanks to lb and korn before Linkin park took over before until they sold out. Metal elitists are The worst kind.
I am 38 and what you call a metal elitist but i luv lb cause they're hood at what they do even linkin park (first record), korn not so much. These bands are the reason i started listening to metal before discovering the real deal.
Its not about being an "elitist". I'm 41 so I literally WAS THERE when they appeared on the scene. They were the continuation of RATM and many other before them. Having said that, To THIS DAY I love three dollar bill yall. That is a PERFECT (for it's genre) album. Nothing. NOTHING they did after that is worth even acknowledging .. and couldn't be further from "metal" if they tried. It's not about being an elitist like I said is about having good taste and recognizing quality
@@sideskroll nu metal is the genre that made me start my metal journey since 2001 when i was 16, but when i discovered and dived much into 80's heavy metal (not glam), thrash, death metal and etc i felt that nu metal was not that great after all and did nothing for metal, it was non creative for the most part and very lazy in terms of song writing and musicianship, like you said, it is not about elitism, it's about quality. I still luv some nu metal songs.
Last breaths of the 20th century. 400,000 young people, no cell phones, no social media, pure energy, young people enjoying rock and roll.
Time changes my bro, i dont know why people is regreting to much about that is normal...
Hey man I'm 22 and still vibe the bizkit 🤟
Lets see if we Can get this mf sturt up a " litlle bitt " ?!!!!!!....…...i always laugh when i listen to this.....
@@thirsty_gq_4x486 same, 22 yrs of age and raging to this shit like it just came out
Most badass moment in the 20th century for sure
Man that intro sounds menacing. Like something big is coming..... That deep bassline gives me chills everytime
Counterfeit *is* a force to be reckoned with. Honestly it Limp Bizkits most menacing and powerful songs.
@@bigearsinc.7201 Facts it’s their best song
@@zenvultra I still think Chocolate Starfish was their best album, but this is their top 3 song imo. RMV was also decent album.
He actually hit the harmonic whilst jumping around.. pure slayer
Air 🛹
Boreland’s stage presence along with his precision is unmatched, I don’t think I ever heard him mess up live like seriously, every video it’s perfect and he still finds ways to change riffs and expand on them in breakdowns, he is the bizkit sound
That bassline in the beginning gave me chills
Fair to say Sam Rivers is very under appreciated as a bassist
I love the bass players energy. He was really going in
Sam is and was a force on bass. he's just awesome
I love the tone Wes gets in the intro, plus his drag assing round the stage, too good..
Dude is just a fucking legend
Love it, Wes is Amazing!
I love the two legs both jump plus a drag racing around
That 98 family values intro was all wes, Cambodia i think.....hooked on wes after seeing that shit haha
Wes looks stupid high lol amazing set
You dont need friends when you have limp bizkit music
Or the whole Woodstock 99 online
Real
Everybody sucks 😂

They are unbelievably tight for the entire set. They did exactly what they were paid to do.
Talentless, only some clueless musicians would say this. They're all talented at their instruments.
Durst was a good frontman he rocked the crowd like very few could. Was he a douche who over achieved? Sure. But Sam, Otto and Wes are supremely talented. Especially Otto and Wes who are great musicians.
I always loved them. Don't get the hate honestly.
Sam rivers absolutely shredded this on that bass.
He always been good and of course wes steals the show but his riffs means nothing without the amazing bass lines of sam.
He shined 🔥
1:44 I still wonder how Wes could play accurately those riffs with artificial harmonics while jumping around 😲
He’s a legend that’s how
He’s a straight up savage that’s how
Because he is a fucking pro 🤷
Its easy to do so
ermmmmmmm theyre actually natural harmonics and you just barely drag your finger to play his part🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
If I could time travel, this is were I’d go
The creep walk from wes borland
A true entertainer he is 🤘🏾😎
1:40 is easily one of the greatest breakdowns of all time.

The rage in this whole performance is resonating the whole set it’s legendary
sounds as good as (if not better than) the studio version. bizkit in their prime!
I was actually at this show. Time flys.✌️
you're just so lucky man
I bet that was fuckin amazing until a bunch of morons ruined it for everyone.
I actually love this
So insanely lucky. One of the great performances of all time by anyone ever…. Iconic insane weekend
Wes borland so baddas man 🔥🔥🔥🔥 how can he did 360 degress jump while he played guitar... 1:43
He’s a master guitarist. One of the best
Muscle memory
