- This has my favorite "ship building / operation" mechanic of any space sim I can think of off the top of my head. It's simple, yet really deep, flexible, and personalizable.

Space Quail 18 era is real and I love it
As far as capacitors are concerned, its not really for making up for not having as much power generation as recommended. Its really more to reduce lag in delivery. If you have an energy consumer thats too far away it's possible that when it requests a charge it can take too long to get from the reactor to the consumer before it runs out. A capacitor close by allows a buffer that is okay if it takes a while for new energy to get there while not starving the actual consumers.
Would love to see more of this game
rockets flying around your ship and hiting you into your back ;)
I think by right-clicking the salvage button you can include/exclude types of debris to salvage when you draw your selection rectangle. You also can define the maximum number of a certain type to be stored on your ship.
Episode 3, here we go!
Wohoo!
I often target weapons first, rather than reactors or (more often) control rooms) if it doesn't have guns, it can't shoot you after all!
Not only that, but enriched uranium is expensive and you're blowing it up when you kill the reactor
To paraphrase chancillor Gorkon of the Klingon empire... "Don't let it end this way, Quill18"
Please continue playing this wonderful game..
Just noticed that the idle hand is the Vulcan greeting.. :)
I'm enjoying this series and looking forward to seeing more!
When ship designing, or when in blueprint mode. The mirror tool is your friend.
Don't remove the tip! The tip is what makes it special!
Quill, this LP has convinced me to go and buy this game. Thanks! Now, if yu want more acceleration, just add a couple more storage bays and stick a couple more small thrusters pointing down straight to the sides.
Should place some engines further from the center of the ship for more torque.
Just for your information, you have 'mirror mode' (bottom left corner I believe) that let's you build both sides of the ship simultaneously
finished watch ep 2 wishing for ep3 and boom just released happy days now i want ep4
What a lovely game, great to see you ick this up.
If this has multiplayer, would be great to see you lay with Aaavak, I remember him putting in 100s of ours into this.
it the first serie youtube recomand me form you in years
Target the weapons (and maybe some thrusters first), at least of the side you're strafing to. If they have disruptors priority them.
These are a great overview of the game. Plus there enough in place to combine with enthusiasm that it comes across well.
Seems pretty cool, for sure.
Of course my concerns are:
* Yeah ok, when is it not EA and when is 1.0 release? Stellar Tactics?
* Is there a campaign, story, point? Or imagine your own in the sandbox?
I'll find out. Meanwhile it joins many other things on my wishlist, for now.
Not sure when the full release is coming out. What you're watching Quill play is the campaign.
Awesome lets play would like to see more
I'm liking it so far!
is there a reason to not just drop more cargo bays when you're full and sitting on a million metal plates? Is there a penalty on deconstructing that makes it inefficient, or is quill just leaving stuff in space for no reason? As a loot hoarder, it pains me when he kills a pirate and just leaves a bunch of stuff floating there lmao
if i remember correctly, the only risk is being a lot slower and running into a roaming pirate/enemy.
im pretty sure deconstructing your own ship is 100% refund for the bits you built yourself. captured ships and/or prebuilts might not give full refund in materials.
does ramming do damage?
sadly no, however if a bit of your ship explodes right next to an enemy i do think it also deals damage to the enemy.
Support for more eps

I like this series. So I'm "gonna smash that like button" for the Quilltuber 😊😂
