Came back to say how awesome it is that each intro is so representative of its era-the original one the 60s, the New Archie and Sabrina hour the 70s, and the New Archie’s the 80s.
I was a big fan growing up. Where's the Archie comedy Hour. I saw somewhere where they used some of the intro for some kind of "special" Archies New Pals and Gals or something like that. And yes Archies FunHouse.
@kacmac2340 honestly Archie doing weird outlandish things isn't a new thing. When horror comics got popular in the 70s Archie actually tried to make thier own versions of them to cash in on the success. Then there's really weird idea like the Jughead diner mini series
0:01 American Version of the Beatles by the Archie and his friends 1:07 Archie's tv funnies 2:24 US of Archie 3:36 The new Archie and Sabrina hour 4:11 the new Archies 1980's 4:54 Archie's weird mysteries Archie meets the X files
The comic book has been around since 1941, so Archie is 83 years old today. John Goldwater started the Archie Comics line and he hired Bob Montana (1920-1975) to do the original comic strips. Ever since then , other artists like Dan DeCarlo , Dan Parent, and Bob Bolling has drawn the strips over the years. Lou Schiemer and Norm Prescott did the 1968-1979 Archie animated series, while DIC Animation created "The New Archies" and "Archie's Weird Mysteries." as well as the two "Sabrina" TV cartoons with Melissa Joan Hart. Today, Cookie Jar Animation owns both DIC and Filmation animation studios.
Dear lord, TV funnies is horrific! The 70s really didn’t know how to make cartoons. 😅 Thank god the 80s did basically a 180 and became a cartoon-monster with bold and creative concepts
Things were very colorful in 1968. Color television was really beginning to explode that year, outselling B&W TV sets for the first time, and shows like "Laugh In" having color stage sets to show the importance of color television. "The Archie Show" was on CBS, who experimented with color TV in the late 1940's, but fiecely competed with NBC over who had a superior color transmission. For awhile from 1953-1965 NBC won, but by 1965, CBS and ABC caught up with NBC with color transmissions of their own. The flashing color circles can be blinding to those with flashing color motion seizures, but back then the networks didn't study such serious phobias and seizure illnesses. The "Pokemon" flashing Porygon seizure controversy of 1996 brought that situation out of the closet to take the issue seriously.
Here's a Brief Rundown Growing I Was Huge Jughead fan when I was watching Archie's Weird Mysteries on Fox and 16 years later I switch gears to Archie Andrews thanks to The CW's Bastardized horny as hell live action series Riverdale but no lie I love Cheryl Blossom In the comics I have 2 Types of Women Redheads and Asians with a smidge of Goth Girls and It helps that I never heard of her until Madelaine Petsch portrayed her for better or worse sexy ass Ginger chick
Geez, I can see why people don't really talk about shows before the 80s. I wouldn't be shocked if the 70's shows just reused animation from the original 68 cartoon given how the cast just reused the same designs aside from color changes.
I appreciate that thanks. Unfortunately it's too late to alter or change the video without starting over. I also excluded the Sabrina the teenage witch intros amd riverdale
I was a kid with the '87 show. I loved that theme song and I sing in to this day.

@spyrothedragon9137 thanks that means a lot to me Archie in whatever er medium he takes always seems to be an idyllic reflection of reality
New Archies via Toon Disney was my gateway into knowing about the franchise.
Oh my goodness that first one has flashing lights worse than the Taz Mania intro. My favorite intro is Archie's weird mysteries.
I was a big fan growing up. Where's the Archie comedy Hour. I saw somewhere where they used some of the intro for some kind of "special" Archies New Pals and Gals or something like that. And yes Archies FunHouse.
I grew up on the new Archies. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reignighting one of my many happy memories ❤
Our pleasure!
*reigniting
I love that New Archies are the same than the regular ones, just 4 years younger
I really wish we could get a new Archie show. Weird Mysteries was the last good one
Ok. But you don't think that "Archie's Weird Mysteries" is very Out-of-Genre in comprasion with original comics?
@@kacmac2340and was in itself an attempt to modernize the concept for a new generation

Well there is Riverdale, but it's....not very good lol.
The first gave me alot of memories my sister loves that show and had the tiny comics of Archie
0:01 American Version of the Beatles by the Archie and his friends
1:07 Archie's tv funnies
2:24 US of Archie
3:36 The new Archie and Sabrina hour
4:11 the new Archies 1980's
4:54 Archie's weird mysteries
Archie meets the X files
They really didn't have to go that hard for the New Archies theme. It's so 80s but its so catchy.
I loved Archie's Weird Mysteries episodes ....in a little town called Riverdale
Reggie was his band buddie, but would bully him too!
The only intro you’re missing is Archie’s Funhouse. Thought I’d let you know
I didn't even realize there were Archie cartoons before Archie's Weird Mysteries. It seems obvious in hindsight, considering how old the comic is.

really ti was dan decalro who gave the world the iconic and recognizable art style that the sreies stayed tried and true too for so many years.

You’re missing the one with the live-action kids running into a theater and the animated band appears onstage.
I think that one wasn't available when I made thos compilation
The flashing lights in that first one…that’s worse than that Pokemon episode
At least, you could argue back in 1968 they didn't know any better
@@k-trashradio5163 That’s very true , I imagine special affects were in extremely short supply then.

_The New Archies_ was popular when I was a kid.
It just screams "80s" from the animation to turning pops diner into a video arcade to the theme and I honestly love it for that.
Where's The Archie Comedy Hour and Archies Fun House?! I grew up with them!!!
couldnt find those when we made this one thye musta been so obscure even old yotuube had nothing. sorry for that.
You left out the "Archie Comedy Hour" & "Archies Funhouse"! Wassup with that ?🤔

3:07
Oh I get it cause tommorows July 4th?

2:07 the cringiest one 🤢
Eh, it was ok. Kinda strange, but I've no idea what the show is. At least it's not crystal gems.
I know it's your opinion but i disagree in my opinion

@MMTrigger the two good things the 68 cartoon did gave rhe world the song sugar sugar and inspired Hanna Barbara to make scooby doo a year later
