Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

i think team amemomeanemone might be my favorite. they dont have lots of apm or even impressive macro, but they heavily make up for it with strategy and style. so fun to watch

absolutely stupendous play from team anenenaeme in round 2. First pulls off a gimmick strat to secure the first kill, then is able to rebound off the failed magnabeam strat, then absolutely chokes out Westwind with cannons and firebeams. bravo!!
2nd Match Westwind valiant laser point defense and amemome rapid cannon expansion after losing the magna beam is glorious.
That first battle was great.

Cool to see FPL content again. Too bad Salzwerk gave spoilers: the whole match, in German! But I will happily leave a like anyway as most content has difficulty topping FPL content.
Geiger did his absolute best to throw that first game. Spent half the game not being attacked and used all that time and money to build armor weak to nukes and buzz saws

No, it's way easier in real time. The issue comes with scheduling.

Missiles... They are SO BORING they should just be removed from pro play altogether.

Also, cheese really shouldn't be a viable tactic that completely nullifies a team through the mid game.
1 on 1, yes, it should be a viable and risky option.
But the mere fact that AP sniper cheese can win a game in seconds in 2v2 is utterly noob level championship material.
You really shouldn't have to play turtle every game just because there's that one build that can win against everything that isn't turtle.
I get your point about missiles, but as far as cheese goes, honestly I don't see the issue. They played pinchfist and sold off a lot of defense in order to rush, and they got punished. Besides, the game was far from won at that point. You don't have to turtle every game, you just have to acknowledge that pinchfist rushing comes with risks if your opponent is ready to capitalize on it.
@@Theren5534 Yeah OK, true that if you sell your defenses you should be punished for it. But not so harshly IMHO.
And no, Westwind had zero chance of recovery except for the fact Dorymeme tried to be extra cute and failed in doing so.

And it all stemmed from the fact there's a build that is basically without risks that completely negates builds that tech up fast.
In essence, you don't have a choice at the start unless you want to risk defeat in the first minutes of the game. You have to play the long game unless your opponent also does a quick tech play.
I could accept that AP sniper would bring cores down to 30% as a result of the other side being too greedy and not noticing the opponent is taking advantage of that.
But three shots, each taking 40% off the core? Might as well make it so if you sell off the protection at the start the other side can just point at the base and it explodes.
