I was there and I still live in Knoxville. This was at the Electric Ballroom and was a great venue(may it RIP). So many bands played there. This is when they were on tour with the MISFITS for their Resurrection tour. Cannibal Corpse opened, then Anthrax and the Misfits headlined. Talk about a mixed crowd!!! It was metal guys and punks in the same room along with your regular people who were just at the club to see a show. One of the best shows of my life. The Misfits put on an amazing show and were poking their heads out from a loft upstairs in between songs of the other bands to get the crowd riled up. After the Cannibal Corpse set I was so hot from moshing I ran to the bathroom to run a faucet of cold water over my head. I came out and slumped against the wall to catch my breath when the whole band of Cannibal Corpse walked right up to me and shook my hand before heading out to their RV.
@@Recondite101 lol I only just saw these comments but when I first saw it I thought it was the coolest thing ever, Imagine being a CC fan wondering who the fuck is gonna top Barnes, then they just get George Windmilling like a different breed and giving you looks like that. I was at this show! The good old Electric Ballroom...those were the days! I saw many, many, great shows there! That was 18 years ago...damn! Thanks for posting this!
@@sherrig4587 Same here Sherri...a lot of great shows were played there! Even after it became the Valarium, the great shows continued. It's a shame those buildings are just sitting empty right now. Hopefully someone will re-open them again and do it right this time...
@@Hippo007 Danzig was my first show ever when I was 15. Korn and Marilyn Manson opened. Manson was supposed to play there beginning of 96 and we drove over there twice but bible thumpers shut it down. Don’t know if they ever played a makeup date. I loved the Disc Exchange too. I haven’t been to Knoxville since 2010.
This was the first footage I saw of George playing and Holy was I blown away. In my opinion he isn't as Scary as Prime Barnes but he is more Brutal... His sheer Confidence and Power in each Guttural and Scream will forever blow me away. I'd also never seen anyone head bang like that and It freaked me out lol
I missed the one in 1991 tour but I saw them on this tour (vile) and the one in 2009 tour. He still has it but, that jump! He couldn’t do it now. The NEK still lives.
Funny to see pat playing a seven string as I believe he just left nevermore to join cannibal. Glad they didn't start using seven strings. I think six strings have a better sound tuned low when playing death metal.
Wow “Cannibal Corpse” opening for “Anthrax” & “Misfits” but then I was like whoa it would probably still be that way in today’s day & age tbh. Misfits were out before both of them in which doesn’t make them the top dog but the only difference I see is most likely all 3 of them being “Co-Headliner” bills lol in which is unheard of imo as usually only two bands do co-headlining bills I believe. Anyways 3 great bands imo & Cheers From Canada
Chris this, Chris that... i know he was awesome and those first 4 albums he did with cc is fuckin killer, but i prefer George's performance than Chris'
Almost 30 years ago and they're still going strong!
the scream at 3:05 actually gave me chills. George sounds fucking killer here!

27 years later and George is still killing it
28 now ! haha
So much energy when they were younger. Father time sucks. But I still love these guys. The effort that they put into their shows is second to none.
Amen to that. They are still doing a great job on stage for their age.
