I didn’t really appreciate how much faster this one goes compared to Thorpe until the 2 are compared side to side. That lift hill goes insanely fast
That last inversion is by far the closest inversion before a loading platform/structure that I've ever seen. Heck the train was still rotating INSIDE of it! Love it! 🤘
Finally Flamingo Land gets a quality thrill coaster again! This thing looks like it flies!

@@CoastinHarleywell it's not new its been past round to several parks for year's but never opened until making it to flamingo land and it looked like it was't going to open here either

@@CoastinHarley I meant it because the guy said back when coasters had tons of inversions which is true because it was built during that time and it seemed to slow down.

I've actually been on SIK when I was on the school trip to Flamingo Land with my friends and then when we went on SIK so when we went through the spiral part at 0:56, one of my friends shouted "What the sigma" before the roller coaster ride came to a stop at the station
I absolutely love Flamingo Land! It was awesome meeting the both of you that day! Kumali definitely ranked top coaster for me, definitely not my favourite in the UK as that title is held for The Swarm. Sik was a very solid coaster, the lap bar is terrifying for a first time rider 😂
Kumali is a solid coaster I will not hear otherwise.

I remember seeing a test a run of this ride where all the water dummies fell out on one of the corkscrews lol, glad they got that figured out this looks like a fun ride
Corkscrews should give positive g's so that wouldnt make sense. Like water staying in the bucket if you swing it round.

@@Jacob-Simonsen There is a video of the water test dummies falling out, but it wasn't during the corkscrews rather during the 3 in-line twists near the end of the ride, which I assume gave hangtime. The problem was that they used the wrong type of dummies to test the ride, and once they switched them out for the correct ones, there were no issues.
The water dummies they used were for testing ots restraints, SIK has lap bars, the dummies didn't have laps. So it was like they weren't in restraints at all.

This isn’t a new ride as it was going to be made in south america until the park couldn’t afford to install the ride so they sold it to flamingo land

Just letting you guys know but there has been an accident on Jetline at Gröna Lund. Jetline derailed and passengers were ejected from the ride. As of right now there has been 1 death and an unknown number of people (2-5) have been injured.
I cant tell if this is a washing machine or a roller coaster. That is a whole lot of heartline rolls

I haven't ridden this but have ridden Colossus, and those inversions at the end are a bit much. They're not really run (for me, anyway), are bit dizzying and just feel tacked on to get the inversion record.
@@dingo137sik is smoother and has lap bars, and runs much much faster than colossus. If I'm honest, they almost feel like completely different rides!

No it’s way smoother
Way smoother, plus the lap only restraints are great, arms up and not stapled in you get loads of hangtime, plus there's some decent whip in that final inversion.
Smoother, lap bars, faster. Sik is underrated imo, it's really quite intense. I'd argue it felt completely different to colossus

Yes, this is a clone of many ten inversion coasters. The first one is Colossus at Thorpe Park
yes but they're all good clones and not ones that you'll find in many places
This ride has such a messy history, it was supposed to open a DECADE ago at Hopi Hari in Brazil but was never assembled, would stay there until 2017 where it would go to Movie Animation Park Studios in MALAYSIA where it would, again not be built. Its at this point that Flamingo Land would finally build it.
Well that's a "sik" ride. hehe

Yes, there's a huge difference, you can't even compare them.
Yes. By far. I never got off colossus wanting to run back round for another go. I lapped Sik until my thighs couldn't take the heartline rolls any more.
@@louive5680 Is the newer more forceful? Or just smoother?
@@maxhagenauer24 It's faster so it's much more comfortable. However, hangtime is longer on colossus but that means its more uncomfortable. With the extra speed on SIK, youre pushed through the inversions, meaning you're not just dangling.
For whatever reason, Colossus gets so much hate but I winder if this one is better and more forceful.
The Colossus trains really don't help. Just having better trains should give a much better ride experience.
Colossus is a much older coaster with over the shoulder restraints that can make it kinda rough, Sik on the other hand is a newer model with lap bars and more comfortable trains.
Sik is better in every way except for theming although Sik is a great looking coaster but not themed in any way. Just stylised.
Better trains, better restraints, much faster, almost incomparable because of how wild sik feels compared to colossus
It seems to have an amazing pacing, the trains only have lap bars and given that it's new and Intamin probably improved their trackwork, this should be miles better.

tbf i think if they didnt get that sponsorship, the park probably couldn't afford to open it. Plus it is a memorable name even though it's bad I've heard loads of people talking about it
