- This week we’re on more back lanes as the royal Enfield Classic 350 explores the Staffordshire roaches.
Still in the Peaks National Park, this area is much quieter than the batter known tourist hot spots in Derbyshire.
Distinctive rock formation thrust up through the moorland surrounding shallow valleys with hardly a building in sight.
Grab your helmets, let’s ride.
Ride safe,
Dave

A man after my own heart. A royal Enfield, nice scenery and a flask of coffee! Perfect day out
Thanks for another great tour of the countryside. Always takes me back to part of my childhood in Knaresborough and at Menwith Hill!
A great ride around some stunning countryside, that doesn’t get a lot of coverage.
I think you are in the Shire and heading to Hobbiton! Great scenery!
Gob smacked. Empty single lane tracks with views, what more could you want on a sunny day .
I went out on bike on Tuesday it was a warm sunny 25 dgs.
40 miles from home temp dived to 20 and the sky opened and I was soaked to the skin.
Back home and it was was sunny and warm!
Think the wife thought I deterred via a car wash…😜🤣🤣
Another ride with glorious views and winding narrow roads. Just what I expect when I see a new video. A brilliant ride
What a brilliant ride. That is a truly beautiful piece of countryside.
Lovely scenery Dave👍. Love that wicker rear box❤️
Fantastic ride and scenery as usual. Thank You 👍
Staffordshire moorlands is a lovely area
I’ll be taking early retirement in a couple of years. Plan on picking up motorcycling again but with the classic 350 and not a sport bike again 😁. Take on some nice rides like you but in BC Canada. The roads in the UK look stunning. May have to travel there to ride those roads in the future
Glorious views, Dave! I was on a small group 120 km ride here in Perth yesterday; beautiful day, 26C (great, considering that it's still winter here!), but all basically suburbia, nothing like as attractive as those lanes that you were on.
I really enjoyed the video as I grew up in that area and lived in Ipstones as a child, a beautiful part of the country and relatively unspoilt.
i am joyed that, many thanks ,until the next time,
Good video. Beautiful countryside!
Brilliant Dave 🏍️👍
Coincidentally I was close to there this morning filming a loop round Longnor & Hollinsclough. Fantastic lanes and views but sadly filming totally ruined by drizzle. Only just over 20 mins so may pop back and film again in the morning. Recorded the route on Relive so will do it identically (hopefully drier)
Only plus point this morning was encountering some of a group of around 300 MOPED riders from Holland heading to Scotland at 30 mph
Beautiful. FYI: I sent you a message on Facebook about our UK trip. I tried writing you on RUclips as well, by my comment history says it didn't go through, so I am trying again. :(
Wonderful.
Great video and thoroughly enjoyable, does anyone know what has happened to Keith "shottos travels" his videos seem to have disappeared, no content available
ONLY ROACHES we get over here are Cockroaches! Spectacular they ain't. Luvly views, glad you research all these " cart tracks" for us, we lived on the Staffs border for Donkey's ages, but never ventured out that way, usually we went Moorlands way. Cheers, DINO, AMANDA, and Dingos,
Thanks for the video😀👍
Wonderful escarpment indeed. Your bike is definitely well suited. Cheers
Flash is the highest village in England. It’s a bit bleak in winter! Since your retirement, I see you have already picked up the old people’s’ habit of reading signs out loud. Please don’t start telling us about your ailments 🤣🤣
