@@swaggybaum6992 A little after halfway through legend says that you can use the Ruby Ring of Ruin in place of a missile spell, so you should be able to do it with any lore of magic once you have that item.

Some additional knowledge:
- Casting a spell in range does NOT cancel the exploit (at least it never did for me), it's just a normal cast, but you can continue exploiting afterwards.
- Only the wizard triggering the exploit is affected, other spellcasters have to trigger it too if they want to cast unlimited times.
- Bound spells (fireballs) on items can be used to trigger it.
- Summons aren't unlimited. Even though the summons counter doesn't go down, once you've cast your alotted amount of summons, you can't summon any more. Still, you can do your summons for free without cooldowns, so that's nice.
- Overcasting spells will give back the winds of magic, but you will trigger a cooldown. Some other BS might happen too, like the game telling you you don't have enough magic to cast another one, even though your winds are full.
- Bound spells become infinite, except summons.

" the game telling you you don't have enough magic" it happens after you have casted once the normal version with the exploit. If you have only casted the overcast version free then it doesn't tell you that and you can keep casting after the cool down. But there is no point doing that because 100s cooldown on the firestorm is worse than the 5s cast for 22s burn.
So, if it affects bound spells as well, would it also affect time limited bound spells like sword of kaine and tyrions ability by having their cooldown reset?
@@Ereinion25 Good question. I would test it, but the only campaign where i have the sword of khaine at the moment is a dwarf campaign xd

They'll patch this asap but leave the bug that keeps effects going when LL's die.
It's way worse than that, the bug you described doesn't just effect legendary lords, it effects any unit that has an area of effect de-buff or drain. Mortis engines, Lava Araknaroks, etc.
or that siege artillery bug

I think giving abilities a little timer would fix this bug.
Like just making it a 1 second timer which refreshes when the unit is around that effect.
When the unit is out of the effect after the second, the effect to that unit is gone.
I mean we already have this in game(spells like life-leach or the effects some units inflict, like "Surpressed!" from Ratlings).
Just add those things with a one second timer, boom problem solved.
_I dont know what other bugs this brings up but aint my job_

Wow Legend you rock. That's my save file and I tried for days and cannot win. Your guess is pretty much correct, I left that guy to farm there and just finish that Manticor building last turn except it's me who declare war on clan Moulder because why not we're Chaos. Thank you again even with Magic Exploit, I may not able to Micro Management like that.
i'm surprised you attacked clan moulder tbh, in my campaign I found them to be my best vassals, ruin dwelling all the places I blew up so I wouldn't have to worry about enemies recolonising them, and sending decent armies to help me out. Or was it more for roleplaying purposes? all must die?
Clan Moulder destroy many of my vassals after I decide to just ruin things else where instead of finish them.
Not about role play I just wanna destroy things.
In my Chaos campaign I vassalized Moulder but they weren't very keen to colonize ruins after me. They did it to some extent but they didn't really leave Kislev area.
@@SereglothIV it can sometimes help to give them targets of things you're gonna destroy about 2-3 turns from now, then by the time you destroy them, clan moulders armies are close so they are more likely to colonize.
@@sympunny8636 How can I have them as Vassals? When I have a spill all the blood for the blood God champaign people never wanna become my vassals, they literally always decline. :( I even tried paying them like 5000000 gold but they still don't wanna give up their freedom. Wtf.....
I did some testing with this exploit and you don't need to wait for the animation to end. Once the countdown starts on the spell icon you just need to move away and it will work.

well morathi and teclis don't have magic missiles so this won't work on them. As for a lot of generic casters and certain legendary lords...yeah multiplayer is gonna be cursed for a good while I feel
@@Tactical_Lich you might be surprised his community isn’t super into competitive that said yeah he probably should have said “it doesn’t work in MP” or preferably nothing at all because saying it does then telling people not to is the worst of his options maybe worse than telling people TO exploit it in MP.
Edit: also doesn’t teclis get bound fireball in MP? He can use that to trigger it.

@@OpiatesAndTits I mean, saying it doesn't work in MP is a good way to get this community to go test and see if they can't find a way to make it work in MP, so what he did was probably the best option.

The moment you said this works in multiplayer was the moment i realized this was going to be patched within the month.
Trust me, it's not possible. The skaven weapon teams are fast enough (IN RELATION TO CHOSEN) to run away, turn and shoot, and repeat. It's horrendous and soul-crushing.
It's like legendary difficulty for AI. When player uses cheats too.

this exploit also works in lore of beast summons but i dont know the limit you can summon i just summoned 10 without cooldown
This is what I expected for an overpowered caster in Warhammer.

Thankfully it's not that much of a problem in multiplayer. If someone uses it against you, and you meet them another time, you can just decide to never play them again and leave the lobby every time you see them (click on their steam profile to make sure they didn't sneakily change their username). And similarily, if anyone uses it in multiplayer they can quickly discover that no one will want to play against them.
I feel like it would be hard to use in MP as well since your spellcaster has to maintain that perfect distance where they can spam spells whilst becoming Public Enemy Number One against an opponent who will actually target them.

While this is actually hilarious and I apreciate the share from Legend. A question to the other viewers, isn't it easier to just use a mod or a trainer if you absolutely want to have unlimited magic? It's the same thing, in practice.

For early chaos army, full on marauder horseman spam works wonders. It is really cheap and does perform wayy above their balance of power. Just get rid of all your chaos warrior/chosen units they are expensive and just sit through all your battles.
the main issue with having full marauder horseman spam early is sieges, I agree they do well in early field battles but I'd hate to have a full stack of those in a tough siege battle.

So, we have an exploit in the game which probably was in it when it launched, which can potentially break multiplayer. Not fixed.

WoW... XD New thing to play around in our co-op campaign with my friend. Also, is it possible to pull it off with a caster on a sun dragon? Also is it only working with fireball or other spells? Like I can pull it off with Lord Kroak? (Would be fun to use unlimited "KA-BOOOMM" :D)
Spells that don't have any randomness to their movement are better for this exploit. This is obviously insane with lore of vampires and wind of death. Piercing bolts would have been handy here.

Didn't think it'd be out until late this year.
I am kinda scared moving on to WH 3. I dont know, Warhammer 1 and 2 looked almost the same, but since that graphical change in 3K i dont like it anymore. The way the units are now green and with an outline of EVERY single model in the unit seems so bright and unpleasent, like to that point where i cant even play the game. If WH 3 would just look the same as WH 2 with only typical graph upgrades, it would totally be in my top 3 games very quickly, but now it's not. It may sound exaggerated, but i already know that i probably wont enjoy it and have to stick with WH2 :(

Having found this on another video like 2 weeks ago I never bother using it because its so god damn finicky. Because the wiz has to move to be in range to cast by the time they actually cast the primo kills are no longer on offer.
Whilst the exploit is game breaking, thankfully its also game ruining so theres no reason to use it except in the most dire of situations.

I'm attempting to do this in a current AI fight, but having no luck. Has this been patched?
- Using my necromancer hero as vampire counts, I cast Gaze of Nagash at an out-of-range target.
- Necro hero runs to get in range and then begins the countdown / animation to cast.
- With 1, 2, and 3 seconds left (I've tried them all), I cancel the cast by double right-clicking the mouse to make him move.
- I then cast another out-of-range spell (like Raise Dead). My Necro hero runs to get in range and casts, but it does not refund me, and it does not reset the Raise Dead counter.
Anything I'm missing here?
If its used in multiplayer it will get patched faster though

If it works with the ruby ring, does it work with bound fireballs from abilities like teclis? How about Ikit's item, or durthu/treemen's lamentation?
