The trouble with organising is, so much plastic ending up in landfill, cleaning product bottles, make up, lotions and products, buying more plastic to store it in, we all have too much! Glass, wire and bamboo for storage is my goal this year, we started with Christmas presents, only cardboard, paper and glass packaging, sourcing them is a nightmare! baby steps 😊 recycle, recycle, recycle. We have a shop near us, where you can take your own containers and fill them up with shampoo, detergents etc, looking forward to trying that when lockdown is lifted, in the UK very few shops open! Well done.
Omg I didnt know they had shops like that?! I'll look some up but we live in a smallish place so I'm not sure I'll find any but thanks for the idea.
Lockdown is harsh for local businesses. Is order and collect an option? Too ?

Yes,this is what I’ve been thinking about in the last while.we are nearly finished building our house and the bathrooms are now finished. So, I am ready to start organize, and contemplating how to minimize plastic.
I always put my seasonal hand towels with the seasonal bin they belong to. Hope that helps!

I do this too and it has kept me from running around looking in the linen closet for the holiday linens When I am already dealing with the regular holiday stresses hahaha

I'm starting with one cupboard at a time. I find it easier to declutter and purge one bit at a time. You don't miss the stuff that way and you feel good with one bit. You can look at that and know you've done the right thing. Giving the things away to people who need it also feels good.

Even though you obviously have a dermatologist, I thought I'd mention Vanicream. It's fragrance free and great for eczema and very dry skin. It's magical to me. Comes in lotion, cream, ointment and I order it on Amazon. My asthma and allergy doc recommended it.

Love watching organizing videos! it's so motivational for me! I always put my seasonal towels away with my holiday decorations. It works for me, but I know it's not for everyone.
If you read the reviews on Amazon for the door organizer it will tell you hacks to make it sturdier. I own it and it takes a couple zip ties and command hooks. Makes a world of difference.
Awesome!! You did a beautiful job!! My mother and I always lined our drawers. It was fun she let me help when I was a small girl. My mother in-law taught me several things. Built out closets, ceiling fans and to put linoleum in the bottom of bathroom cabinets and in kitchen. It protects the wood for resale. I noticed you cabinets inside were pristine! I have been using cork to line my cabinets and drawers lately. I DO NOT PEEL N STICK. But it is good for resale. Or some bathrooms have the press board bottoms which bubbles with moisture. The linoleum is a great way to cover up damaged wood to make under the sink more beautiful.

When you said "don't be overwhelmed" i took a really a deep breath😊. I could also relate that finding a container suitable for my comfort that works and the cabinet for the items that we keep is so CHALLENGING...i have a new cabinet right now and i took measurements to help me find the size of containers..i got a few but it won't fit😥. I like Dollar Tree for organizers of most things. I like cheap but functional. Guess to minimize plastic we could use shoe boxes!!
Looks sooooo great! Consider a trolley if your house is all one level? I find pulling a 3 tier trolley along leaving the top clear for a bucket of hot soapy water etc is really handy and that cupboard looks perfect to house one for everyday cleaning bits. Also consider the top draw being shared dental and contacts? Label the bottom His - Hers? And skin stuff in a slim bin and pull it out and put it back in your vanity?

LOL Taylor has the towel but no dibs on the soap. It would be awkward in our house if we had to share like you.
Why do we always want to get things in excessive like lotions (perfume hand lotions), essential oils, and sometimes even cleaners/disinfectants? I remember buying excessive hand soap just bc i didn't know i had some already! Decluttering often is key and making a list when shopping is just as important to avoid duplicates. GREAT VIDEO AND VERY INSPIRATIONAL!
Love it all. But where is TP stored we always have the big bag from Sams Club. Also bathroom rugs sheets extra blankets ?

I keep my TP and paper towels that I buy from big box store. Into a cabinet above my washer and dryer that’s in my garage. I had my husband put cabinets above the washer and dryer and it save my sanity😉
@@marshabalderrama8903 thats a good idea!! 🤔 we are fixing to move our washer in dryer to our attatched garage instead of our half bathroom downstairs. Ill have to get the hubby to put in some cabinets 👌🏻 tfs
I store all my tp in garage also...but, I put large baskets on all my bathroom floors to hold the tp and just restock when needed.

My comment maybe unrelated, but I liked the way you dress modestly.
You need some museum putty. Put little balls under the corners of your drawer inserts. It keeps them from sliding back and forth when you open and close the drawer.
Did Taylor have fun finding everything? My fiancé always hates me when I organize everything because he’s looking for stuff for days. Haha great organization tips!

Love it! We added an entire family over the Holidays to the one we have already-my daughter, son-in-law, and our 2 yr old grandaughter moved into our home with us. Great job! I cleaned out my bathroom and linen closet a couple of years ago and it is such a great feeling. I probably will go through them again to tidy, but so far everything has stayed pretty organized! I wish I had Vanity and a closet in my bathroom! When we bought our home (it was a new model), both bathrooms were somewhat small with vanities that had some drawers that were not ones you could open. Why would you make a vanity with drawers that you can't use? Yikes! Well my husband and I were around 41...had our only child at 42 so storage wasn't too big of an issue but still you can always use more storage! That wall organizer is a great idea .... if I had a closet in any of my bathrooms, I would be getting that for sure!

Great job! Just wondering if the linen closet door still shuts okay with the over the door organizer on it. I need that in my life but worry it hits the towels or baskets. Thanks!
Is this closet in your bathroom? I use my linen closet in the bathroom for towels, hand towels, wash cloths, sheets and pillow cases for that room. You mentioned your shelves were deep so the towels should fit just fine without a basket. I realize if your preference is for the closet to function properly, don't fill it with a lot of baskets and plastic. They just take up a lot of room that you need for other things. All my cleaning supplies are in the laundry room, out of the reach of children. I do have a caddy in each bathroom for cleaning. I use a see thru shoe bag on the door of the linen closet to store shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, body lotion, body wash, etc. I have even used the extra space for hair brushes, hair dryer, curling irons, etc. That leaves the vanity for my personal items, makeup, and other items used on a daily basis. A few organizers in the vanity, but no real need for all those baskets and plastic containers. Just a thought, and you save a lot of money on all that stuff. Its expensive!!
