How long are you coming for? I had no issues when I drove over from London in early May, all I was asked at the bridge was where I was going. I'd had my covid test at South Mimms for the trip, but other than that, there were no dramas on the 36 hour drive up. So I can't see you having any issues. There have been plenty of tourists up here in Norrbotten. Ah yes, and many thanks for the personally signed calendar, it's up and ready for the New Year. Perhaps you should bring any excess stock and ship it from here.
Dani documenting squirrels is so calming and nice, this must be a very unique thing to do. Seeing someones greatest passion is beautiful, really looking forward to the swedish squirrels again.
Yes, squirrels make great subjects. I always see a few at my local cemetery where they are very used to people passing through. Some of them come very close, especially if I have nuts with me.
Animals know who they can trust. They are drawn to my son because he is a gentle person. I love to see how the different animals Dani photographs have very little fear of her because they sense that she will not harm them.
Dani you are so calm and do such an amazing job at narrating and so helpful to others who like squirrels 🐿 I wish you much success in every thing you do,
I thought about you last week. I heard a scratching on my back window. It looked like a mouse I thought but turned out to be a baby Ga US southern Flying Squirrel. He was tiny but had all his fur. The absolute cutest ever. I have some clips of him trying to release him after a few nights. Sadly he wouldn't eat but he did get his strength back. He tried to chew on a nut in the grass and hope his momma came that night as he disappeared the next morning. I feared a cat would get him. He sat calling all night. Squeak. I didn't want him to starve with me. Tried puppy milk and syringe and all. No avail. He was at least 5 to 6 weeks so maybe he was able to climb the tree too. I feel so bad. I called all over for support center and nobody would help. They said release him and momma would hope come. So I hope he did. I had no idea we had these guys in out area. Many baby grey squirrels.
Hi there Robert ! I filmed outside my apparment some animals eating on the grass one groundhog 3 squirrels and a black cat but it s a older videocam with tapes but i managed to kind of transfer it on a newer camcorder just to be able to put it on youtube it s called ( 3 friendly animals ).
I live in the UK and I am lucky enough to be less than one hundred yards from our park and squirrels. I love the way they seem to be stuck to the trees and can run up and down them as if the trees were lying flat on the ground. I enjoy going over and just watching them, but I do photograph them as well. We also have a caravan in Hamsterley forest, the squirrels come down onto the bird table to eat, and I often have a photograph of them and birds eating at the same time. Why did the police come over to you, I would have thought they would be happy to see someone taking photographs instead of damaging the forest
Disfruto mucho tu trabajo y tu acercamiento tan gentil e intuitivo con otros seres. Que maravilla tenerte en México. Vivo en Ciudad de México y me hubiese gustado caminar contigo; Tu desde la imagen, yo desde el sonido.
Thanks for the advice! For the moment, I've found another solution: look out of my bedroom's window, where they ate all of fir cones... But a cone isn't the perfect photo environment, so a visit to a park might still be a good idea. Here around our house, they are mostly too fast and too shy as soon as they feel watched at.
Wow Mexico city ! i like that city ! the change of temperature between day and night ! LoL the largest city in the world ! well it was back in the 70s ! when they were making the Volks Beetle there ! and i was amazed by the subway too ! i m actually looking to move in Mexico soon ! i m now 65 years old and retired and poor but in Mexico it s cheaper and no winters like here in Montreal ! take care Dani !
Hi Dani, Fantastic narrating and same with the photography👍🏼 great that you get your wish to go to Sweden, and your new house🏡 good luck with everything in the coming weeks, bet you will be excited to see how the squirrels have grown up,
Looks similar to the squirrels here in Hollywood, have a couple (sometimes more) that eat the spilled seeds from the bird feeder. And they're quite easy to photograph and will allow me to get quite close.
This has been a great video, it’s not just boring information it’s got some really funny parts. Like when you shake the bag of nuts and actually surprise yourself that it works. 🤣😂🤣
Dani, hello from Southern California. I really enjoy your videos and the high quality. Very professional stills and narration. You have some very high grade technology. I purchased and framed "Ghost sitting in the snow" merchandise store and it makes me smile and dream everyday when I see it on my office wall. The frame is special also, made of rustic wood with red stain matching ghost. I hope you film more of those cool furry friends when you go back to Sweden. Maybe you can find the same family group?
Saludos.
I often use a 200-500mm zoom lens with image stabilization and achieve spectacular results with it. The image stabilization allows me to use a smaller aperture for greater depth of field at longer focal lengths with slower shutter speeds and still maintain excellent sharpness, even in a dimly lit area without having to increase the ISO to a point where image quality would suffer. The subject has to be photographed while it's fairly still, however. Any quick movements of the subject makes for a blurry image. I also find that using spot metering is essential, so that the subject is properly exposed. Even with matrix metering, the camera's meter is easily fooled when the background is much brighter than the subject.
Get advise and tips. I’m often go to my local city park and shoot (photograph) the squirrels. Like you say they are easy to work with and a great practise subject. I look forward to your next vid. 👍🏻
Nice! I saw your talk at Park Cameras a while back, good fun ☺ Do you have any tips on how to attach nuts to trees in an environmentally friendly manner? I'm thinking of getting an upwards facing shot
Dani I just found your channel today and so glad I did! I am a beginning photographer/videographer. Actually I have been shooting videos for about 5 years, but wildlife photography is new to me. I love this video as I feed animals in my front yard and have an abundance of squirrels to photograph. While I do not have the best equipment and certainly now a powerful zoom lens I can get fairly close to my animals. I would have loved to see the ISO, aperture, and shutter speeds listed on your stills. I still have some issues getting these things right. I tend to shoot mostly in AV mode as it is what I am most comfortable with. Full manual gives me too many things to try to process to get good shots, but I will get there. Perhaps a silly question, but are you shooting mainly in RAW and then color grading afterward? Or are many of these images just as they came from the camera?
I have found a squirrel, it has moved into my garage and won't move. I tried teasing it out with nuts but it's decided my garage is the place to be. I have my gym equipment in there and it's really messing up my workout schedule. Any ideas how to encourage it to bugger off to the woods?
"Shaking a bag of nuts will attract the squirrels" Me, an intellectual: *So they run after every guy they see?* On a serious note, that is a chonky ground squirrel, holy moly! If I hadn't seen the flufftail behind it I would've guessed it's a groundhog of some kind.
Have you ever noticed when’s squirrel descends a tree they will sometimes lift only their arms off the tree and reach out into thin air while hanging on upside down with their legs? Why is this?

The pictures are beautiful as always

Dani: i don't want him to come closer
Squirrel: seniora you have shaked the magic bag there's no way i won't stay away

One thing I noticed during the video was the Pink Floyd shirt. Best music ever! Sorry Beatles, your great too.
Cool, definitely inspires me to get out there and photograph some squirrels.
They are so cute and comfortable. The squirrels are like "Hey our photographer is here, let's make some poses"

Hi John. Nothing threatening said by the policeman. He was just letting Dani know that the park was about to close.
@@houzbizness303 i did not know that, i am lucky over here as the foset and park do not close at all
