I actually had a fitting with Eric in January. What a legend. It's a long way from Switzerland to Malaysia but i'd love to be able to get another session with him at some point. I learned a lot more than I expected to in that short a time.
B Dog’s lessons with Eric are even more valuable than your personal lessons with Eric, which I thought were EPIC! These videos really captured the student/teacher learning experience. Eric constantly explains why he wants a change to be made and why he doesn’t want to introduce too many changes at once. Thank you for creating and providing these lessons!
This is exactly what the pro at my local club was working on with me. I was always kind of jabby around the greens. It has revolutionized the way I chip and pitch now
I watched this and copied the new stance, my chipping is a 1000x better I used to dread the short game but I’m way more confident it it now. Thanks Eric!
I would love to see a full swing lesson as well! This has been really insightful and I love him addressing it as small essential changes and not trying to force hard changes that would take a year to change when you only play 1-2 times a week.
Love his coaching technique. I’ve taken a lot of lessons where coach tries to tel you you’re supposed to swing this way, but unable to communicate how to do it. I just took a lesson with a coach like Eric. I learned more than in one lessons than all my other lessons put together.
PLEASEPLEASEPLEEAAAASSSSE! Tell me there's a Part 2 to this chpping video. This must be the best chipping instruction I've ever seen. I'd like to know what Eric was going to mention regarding grip change. Also, what is the swing path: parallel to the feet; or towards the target?
This has to be my favorite series on RUclips at the moment. Watching Eric (a legend) work with B-Dog that we all can relate to, and make such simple tweaks to improve his game so much. Time to book a lesson i think. To bad I'm not in Malaysia
Great lesson from Eric and it really resonated with me. I moved to this more on top right hand grip with a slightly more externally rotated right forearm 3 weeks ago and throughout my bag it's been a game changer. The club swings so much better and the speed is where it should be. Distance, ball flight, and dispersion improved and short game starting to become more of an asset. This grip change has had the single biggest impact on my game of any change I've ever made.
That last pitch looked awesome, Bdog looking so comfortable with hitting a peach, sounded amazing too! Eric has it going on, a good coach has to be a good salesman as well as a good teacher, and Eric owned it. The knowledge flows so naturally 😎 I've had some good tuition on a crook long game, so looking forward to using my short game to score instead of leaning on it to get me out of trouble... 🤞🏼
Fantastic lesson and video! Standing up straighter feels soo much more comfortable striking the ball. I always try to think "leaning tower of Pisa" when distributing my weight in the short chip.
I have to also commend BDog for asking such relevant questions. Such as "how do I aim an open clubface" is obvious, but only after someone has shown it to you at least once. No one else talks about it.
i just went out and tried this and it worked really well. i usually suck at those types of pitch shots. a little further out i just widened my stance a little and kind of took a fuller swing
Matt baby! Loving the content. The last several releases have been coinciding perfectly with my golf journey. Chippingdales…separates the Playas from Chris Farley
Hello from Germany! I tried this and it works amazingly well. Thanks so much! One question though: In what situations do you normally use this technique? From my understanding it applies to shorter pitches around the green over bunkers e.g., am I right? Or can you also use it for chipping and/or even longer pitch shots?
Eric and these kind of training sessions are the only thing I can still watch. This is awesome. He sees what is happening and then puts things in place. So cool. 🤘🏻🤘🏻😎😎🤘🏻💪🏻😎🤘🏻 Tonight 21:00 hours CET or little bit later this topic will be part of it. Of course ... you are welcome in the live stream.
I'd love to spend a few hours with this guy. I'm only a 50 - 55% up and down and I really need to improve that. But he is very right about getting open and holding the club full length. You have to get that left hip out of the way to chip and pitch properly. It's an upper body shot and you just have to get the lower body out of the way.
@@duffer0309 English courses aren't too difficult. Doing it on grain in Thailand is another matter. Nothing like seeing a chip and run stop dead and not run!
Great video! Age old question; opening the face; is it about the more forgiving ball flight or is it about allowing the club sole to more easily slide thru the grass lessening chunks and blades? I will be deploying this aching lesson in my game!
18 mins - Waddaballboy in action. I have struggled playas with this very aspect of my game using a 9i instead of 46* pitching wedge. Having watched this I feel I can now more seriously commit to the wedge. 👍🏼
Hey playa - I thought for these shots , less loft using a PW and doing the putter stroke is safe to GIOTG. as mentioned in breaking 100 video I;ve found this very consistent. when do I go for these types of shots with a 56 ? I thought the height in these shots were unnecessary
30-45 yards especially when not much green between fringe an the hole break 100 is always just get it on the green this is more for people targeting under 90 down to 80
Golfsidekick clearly showing us Playa's where the best value for money is spent. Investing in yourself will always get a return on the golf course. Gary Player has always stated that the short game is where the golf matches is always won and where amateurs lose most of their shots
'that's not very much bro' LOL for real, range rat hits a few buckets A DAY. Used to work at a range, regulars would be in every day after work and hit 2+ large buckets, 200+ balls a day.

What does it cost for a fitting with Eric?
@@TheDano1970 honestly I can't remember but it was not crazy and for me 100% worth it.
Eric is a fantastic instructor. His explanations are so simple and clearly effective. WADDACOACH!

So clear. So simple and no exaggeration. This is what I’d want from a coach.

Eric is doing what he was put on this earth to do. He is such a gifted golf instructor.
Thanks for another great tip. I used this yesterday when I played, worked like a charm, nearly holed out the first time I tried it, missed by inches.
Great news playa thanks for checking it out.

Thanks

Nice one Matthias thanks for watching
Tip jar is open nicely done coach 🎉
Eric’s loves tips
Wouldn't mind seeing some of the grip work should Bdog get a session on it. Right hand a massive issue for me as well!
Very suspicions we never see Eric do a single shot :-). Great lesson, thanks for sharing this.

How would this technique vary with a one length sand wedge? (7 iron length) Less uprightness?
