Its 2023 and you are still helping people like me to begin on this journey. Cant wait to be able to create beats like that. You are awesome and keep the good work on those tutorials 👌
Man you just made my day... Even I was not sitting in front of my computer I was watching the whole video & understand the concept. All I need is couple of good sample packs & VST that you have and I’ll be good to go... Really appreciate this video
I know this tutorial is going to take me to the next level. Very detailed and given reasons why the sounds need to be a certain way. I've been stuck for so long not seeming to get anywhere but the same place. Thank you soo much!
I'm already quite advanced in making progressive house but for me its just really interesting to see how you're doing things differently from me. you explain everything really accurate and I love to see how you're start with making this track, I learned a lot from it!
@@eh5367 Hey, I started when i was like 14 years old. I started without any music theory at all. I learned it all by myself. I did in on my Ipad, which was called FL Studio Mobile. I was just starting simple by just listening to a lot of music. The first thing I've made was just some simple rythms with drum patterns, after that I started on learning how to make basslines and melodies. I learned a lot by trial and error but I also watched a lot of tutorials like this. But learning music can be different for anyone, I already had a lot of feeling for music and melodies but for some people it is gotta be harder, learning to play piano and watching these tutorials helps a lot.
@@eh5367 I am 21 years old. no there are bunch of good music lessons for free, just on RUclips. the most important thing is what you gotta do is just start making simple beats and melodies and look up on how to make cords, all that stuff. Arcade giving an really good explanation. they explain a lot of basics. you can start on for that. good Tip is just start really small and simple not anything complex. follow the patterns of the cords, you can make melodies with the notes of the cords.
I was looking for this tutorial as I watched it years ago and it helped me a lot, kind of forgot everything and found it in my saved videos! Can't wait to get back at it again.
35:16 Always remeber that function lil bois, that's one of the useful ways of doing Vocal leads, soundscapes, pads, etc. and it just sounds soooooo nice, layer that on your leads and it will sound warm and cool, put that on the back of your drop as Arcade did and it will fill out so nice, use on other music sections as well, always be creative.
I just discovered your channel. One of the best part of all his videos are he tells you all the short cut keys. Thank you Arcade it is so helpful to everyone.
Thank you for Melodics! I just bought my first MIDI piano these days (Nektar SE49) to learn how to play. What a coincidence :) It is VERY useful cause I know nothing about playing piano. You are the best! Carry on, mate!
This is one of the greatest tutorials on RUclips. I am a complete beginner and fully into making this Progressive House track! Keep up the amazing work Arcade!
It is a great skill tbf but not really crazy, it’s like in the past when people could talk perfectly but not read or write the music theory is the same
Learned a few more things like you can change the EQ curve with the points option on the right of the parametic eq, i allways used rightclick, order and than mostly steep 8, your method is a little faster and looks more professional. And I never really used reverse rides, good tip, thanks a lot. But there are not enough tutorials for build ups, breakdowns, or verses or something like that, I hope you make something about it in the future. Before I watched the video I really hoped it was more about the classic progressive house stuff, but I like the big room sounding stuff too, just not as much.
I am already good at progressive house but I have the confidence that I will improve after watching this video because I made my first future house track after watching your tutorial and it came out really well.
It’s a pleasure to follow your video. You’re going directly to what is needed. I’m more a DJ than a producer but watching your video make me want to follow this path now. Thank you!
Can you do future bass?? It’s my favorite genre!! I’ve learned more from you in the past 3 days with 3 of your videos than I have in the past year anywhere else. Love the videos!!

Thank you for your in-depth tutorials! It's interesting to me how the definition of "progressive house" has changed over the years. When people started using that title, the music was a lot deeper and darker. It wasn't bouncy and happy like what is called progressive house seems to be today. There wasn't the obvious sidechaining and template drumroll buildups either, so you could get lost in the music on the dancefloor because the music flowed along without interruptions and distractions. The huge change in style is jarring for me, but hey things change and that's life. I don't know if anyone is still making the kind of music I think of when I hear the term "progressive house" - maybe they are still making it, but people are calling it something different.
@@ArcadeFL Awesome!! Looking forward to it. Thank you so much for all you do. I learn something new each time I watch one of your videos, or I'm reminded of a feature I had forgotten about. So glad I found this channel.
Super helpful vid to someone who is new to FL Studio. Heads-up to anyone looking for the hyper saw he adds in Serum, those presets are now in the "Synth" Section (no longer in leads... at least not on my version). **Edit: Actually, I'm wrong. The one he uses is in the leads section, but there are others in the synth section as well. Oops!
Thank you for the video! I recently got into fl studio and I have been learning a lot already, from your other vids as well. I was wondering however, why do you put the drums as an audio clip in the track, instead of making the beat in the channel rack and then put it in the track? Is one better than the other when you start mixing in the end?
@@ZapDon777Tutorials the way ive always seen producers make things more "stabby" is either by adding a short perc sound along with for ex, the lead, use transient processing to increase the gain if the transient and decrease the tail, and/or heavily compress and slightly distort the sound either through bitcrushing and amps/clippers. Some artists also use volume automation to cut the signal in specific moments if it's a really choppy style.
@@mhes-1 Oh ok cool, i was just asking because I understand why noise can/should be added to other elements with processing but it just felt a bit pointless in a lead because the only use of noise in leads ive ever seen is noise with no decay making the leads sound brighter and more powerful rather than adding punch.
You should have deleted the first note of the melodie and the bass after the break to kind of tease the drop and then have it delayed that would have sounded so nice!

Quick question: what's the point of adding the white noise stabs in the lead if they're being removed by the sidechain throughout most of the melody?
Well, try muting and bringing it back. You'll definitely hear a difference, I guess
