Well, He lost the Carrol case and the bank fraud case... that's something. It's being mentioned in legal circles that the bank fraud case might lead to a tax fraud case also. We shall see. He's currently going through more federal criminal cases now so until those wrap up I think it would be hard to prove just yet.

A contempt hearing should take about 15 minutes and be ruled on immediately. One round of fines, then one night in jail, and Trump would get the picture.

When you only have court 3-4 days a week and only for a few hours each day, it’s going to take a very long time.
Not really, every legal expert I’ve heard, both on left and right wing media say, even with gag order delays, this trial will be over by mid June, depends if that’s your definition of a long time. How long the jury deliberates for and how long before sentencing if guilty is another matter I guess.

I'm amazed at how few hours are actually dedicated to trial action in Manhattan. 9:30 to 4:30, less 1-1/4 hours for lunch, is only 5-1/2 hours per day. Every Wednesday is off (!), some other days off, and scheduled trial hours often taken up by extraneous hearings. Federal courts (Florida), generally go 8:30 to 5:30, five days a week, less lunch, for 7-3/4 or 8 hours of trial. Sometimes courts run overtime for hearings, etc. Naturally there are short breaks during the day.

If a gag order is required due to serious bullying or interfering with witnesses/ jury/court staff/prosecutors/etc, then it should seriously be enforced, with the FIRST infraction. If not, it is meaningless and reveals a weak justice and court.
