Hi Hila, I have the book by Alison Smith , I remember I bought this book for the lovely pictures! I also have Sewing Secrets and Couture Sewing . I collected books but never had enough time to read them through due to my long working hours . I just switched to a part time job and hopefully I hope to set up my sewing space . I shall do as you suggested to place my sewing books on my bedside table ( good idea !) . I too love hard cover Sewing books, they are a fantastic resource for us makers, sitting on our shelves happily and faithfully until the time we need them ! Thank you Hila, such an awesome vlog ❤️
Very nice post! I purchased the Reader’s Digest book for $2.00 during my local library book sale. This book is awesome. The Couture Sewing book and the Sewing Secrets book are all in my collection and I do refer to all of them. Thank you for sharing, Hila😊
I own all but the knit fabric one! So I am impressed but not surprised at the fact the absolute classics of modern sewing practices have indeed survived your culling, as you say, for good reason. Classic collection, Hila, just like your sewing machine collection, thanks for sharing. Btw, I collect but have not culled. So while I have these, I have a bunch of just older books. 😂
Thanks for watching and liking 💓

Wonderful post !!
Thank you! I love sewing books, especially old ones.
Love the vintage stuff. It feels like more care and effort went into things back in the day.
Thank you for the recommendations!
Any time!
