Thank you Sarai! I LOVE this subject and you did a great job both describing and showing clips of the inside of the books. I have several of them, but also learned of some new ones. Thank you!!

I love Readers Digest Complete Guide to Sewing, it covers everything to do with sewing.

I remember being particularly inspired by "Decorative Dressmaking." My favourite Claire Shaeffer book is "The Complete Book of Sewing Shortcuts." I learned a ton of things from that one.

Great list. I would like to add another classic that should be in every sewing space, IMO. Fine Machine Sewing by Carol Ahles. Incredible book and from way back. It has had several iterations to keep up with the latest models of machines but wonderful book.

So I have a subscription with this sewing company. I love all the patterns and the community, very helpful people. I would like to know if these books are plus size inclusive as well?

What a great video idea! I actually have The Art of Manipulating Fabric by Colette Wolff already, but am definitely going to search for a couple of others you featured, with the Linings at the top of the list.

You are such an interesting host, so well spoken, and I have been enjoying your videos. I've been a member of Seamwork for two years and did not know I could get a discount on the membership price by being a subscriber to your RUclips channel! I've been subscribed here for awhile now. Maybe since I first bought the membership. How do I get the discount for 2023? Thanks!

Other options to locate books: Half Price Books, Goodwill, etc. If ordering books through Amazon be sure to click "More Buying Choices" for better pricing. In this section click the filter button to sort the Used based on like new, very goo
d, etc. I have found that libraries will list here and the pricing is very reasonable.
