We all know what the problem it. The whole world needs to STOP CONFLATING Plutocracy WITH Meritocracy. These are not the same thing.
The Real Problem is the Breakdown in Marriage: Have you seen the rise in Annulments from 1968 compared to today within the Catholic Church? The rise in Annulments was a tsunami of Annulments: In 1968, the American church granted fewer than 600 annulments; today in 1998 it hands out more than 60,000 a year - From less than 600 to more 60,000 in 40 Years!
The Narrative: Meritocracy is the notion of a political system in which economic goods or political power are vested in individual people based on ability and talent. However, the Meritocracy has somehow become conflated with Plutocracy. The Roman Empire was considered a form of plutocracy in which a Senate consisting of the wealthy aristocracy had the power to elect local administration officials and propose new policies.
Plato regarded democracy as little more than mob rule by another name-perhaps without the violence, at least at first. The distributism model of G.K. Chesterton that awakens reciprocal financial benefits along ALL PEOPLE is the only authentic democracy:, American Indian, Asian, Australian, European, Indian, Melanesian, Micronesian & Polynesian.
Unlike socialism, which advocates state ownership of property and the means of production, distributism seeks to devolve or widely distribute that control to individuals (FAMILIES) within society, rejecting what it saw as the twin evils of plutocracy and bureaucracy.
Capitalism advocates 'corporate ownership' of property and the means of production - destroys families.

Socialism advocates 'state ownership' of property and the means of production - destroys families.

Distributism advocates 'family ownership' of property and the means of production - UNITES FAMILIES
If we read the parable of the sower in Matthew 13 we read that Jesus said a farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up - Anarchy.

Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root - State Ownership.
Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants - Corporate Ownership.
Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown - Family Ownership.
Whoever has ears, let them hear.
Anarchism advocates ‘no ownership’ of property and the means of production.
Socialism advocates 'state ownership' of property and the means of production.
Capitalism advocates 'corporate ownership' of property and the means of production.
Distributism advocates 'family ownership' of property and the means of production.
“The family that prays together stays together.” - Father Peyton - The Rosary Priest
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need. -- Acts 4:32-35

There is an attempt to change our identify, and it comes in many forms. An excellent college I graduated from in the 1970s is sponsoring a Womxn's Program for its alumni to bring all women together. The x caught my attention, and I contacted the department sponsoring it and said that we don't need a new word for women, which is already all inclusive. It's the same thing with the word Latinx. I work with many Hispanic men and women (note they do identify with hispanic but also with their countries of origin: Mexico, Columbia, Puerto Rico...), but they don't identify with the need for an x. @@illbeyourmonster5752

Thankfully … now that hundreds of members of clergy of various religions leaving their indoctrinations behind ... there is hope for everyone.
From the book ... Apostle to Apostate: The Story of the Clergy Project … authors … Catherine Dunphy, Richard Dawkins
When you are reared to think of your faith and its leaders as infallible, dissent can be an unsettling thing. This is particularly true for clergy, who have devoted their lives to the subject of faith. I therefore especially hope that this story reaches those clergy who have yet to articulate their doubts.
As they struggle through this process, I am thankful that they can look to the Clergy Project as an example of community and humanism as an example of good. As former clergy who have left churches of every denomination, synagogues, mosques, convents, monasteries, and theological institutions, we stand as examples of the reasonableness of doubt and its thoughtful conclusions. I cannot help but think that we offer a compelling voice for why science and secularism do a better job than religion and superstition of answering the so-called ultimate questions.

We do it the old fashioned way by picking up the phone and calling people. Unfortunately, we are living in an age which suffers from 'digital narcolepsy, George Lucas was totally right when he says he sold ‘Star Wars’ to ‘White Slavers’ .
If our technology is not in perfect balance with our creation any imperfections in our technology can eventually unbalance our own creation. Where do we find our perfect balance that brings us all together in peace? The light shines in the darkness but the darkness has not overcome it. My prayer is that the deeper reflections of the Bosom of Abraham will be revealed deeply within the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary. ❤ ❤ ❤

On the other side of the coin, computer and AI tech can make up for some of society's potential shortcomings (less people, less children, less 'family', etc.).

We are so used to having our desires satiated RIGHT NOW (Amazon next-day delivery, high speed on demand streaming, immediate gratification flicking thru Shorts, Reels, TikToks) that people have literally lost the notion that sometimes sacrificing current whims is better for you. Like yeah, I'd love to have orgies with my girlfriend/wife, but satisfying that desire would very likely mean ruining our potential future together. Sounds like the SIL didn't think that part thru. He's going to be in for a surprise in a few more years when literally nobody wants him. Good riddance.

Women when they love a man and convince themselves his love gives them worth will hurt and degrade themselves doing things they know they hate and shouldn't do to avoid the potential confrontation of him leaving
Anyone who claims to be polyamorous is either lying or a fool
Abusers will use this new age morality (accept all deviance because of assumed personal choice/informed consent) to manipulate people into allowing them to cheat, I've mostly seen women doing it but I've also seen men
The issue is for them that most women eventually process the fact they need to break up and then leave the abuser, it just takes time, but a true sociopath doesn't care since he got want he wanted (the ability to be active by two or more woman)
I'm so sorry this happened to your daughter but you need to Vet her suitors better, if she's with a bad man you tell her and remind her of what this abuser did to her and tell her to pull the rip cord sooner rather than later
