Morgan freeman: “The browns then went on to lose 42 consecutive seasons.”
😂
😸😸😸
Perfection. Your comment cannot be topped.
Blue Spaghettis and bo Callahan went on to win 3 Super Bowls all with the seahawks
Vontae Mack tore his ACL in training camp and retired after two seasons.
Ray Jennings (the RB from Florida State who had been in a fight and put somebody in the hospital) gets in more off-the-field trouble leading to multiple suspendions. He's eventually traded to the Cowboys for a backup free safety and a 4th round draft pick.
I lived in Cleveland from autumn of 1997 until summer of 1999. The Browns actually didn't have bad seasons those years. 😉 (I'll let someone explain why.)
R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman
Congrats on being the first overall pick.
Technically he traded three 2nd round picks for a running back and a punt returner... Nowadays he’s fired
Yeah and the punt returner wasn't part of the plan either.. Basically risked the entire franchise to trade three second rounders for one first round pick
Don't forget he also had to pay the linebacker he wanted at 7 about $35 million more over 5 years...
@Josiah Clarkin Not true. As stated, he could have had the linebacker with his pick. So he traded 3 second rounders for a running back and a punt returner, and had to pay a fortune for the guy he originally wanted.
Vontae would have been gone at 7 though......
Jacksonville GM should have been fired before the Seahawks took Bo at 6.
Three seconds for the 6OA with the movie equivalent of Andrew Luck sitting on the clock for them. Yikes
When they started chanting superbowl I died laughing 😂
Patriots Fan
Yes
Patriots Fan I did too😂
When I saw it, the whole theater was laughing. 🤣
ME TOO!! Best laugh all year
Patriots Fan Me too. I didn’t realize this was a comedy.
This is the greatest moment in Cleveland Browns history...And its a movie😂😂😂
And we don’t even get to see if they made the playoffs or had another losing season 🤣
😂😂😂
It's just like the Indians, greatest moments in history is a movie. Charlie Sheen had a better Cleveland career than anybody else in their history... Jusayn
@@Somdeb10 Come on... we know. One of the top 3 picks was a bust, another had a career ending injury in the first exhibitiion game, and the other racked up a DUI and multiple PED suspensions and played in only 6 games in 2 years. Callahan became a 10 year all-pro and won 2 super bowls.
*chanting for super bowl.
FREEZE FRAME
Narrator- “they did not get a super bowl”
nor did 31 other teams.
@@jeffreyhall8195 yeah and 33 teams aren't the Browns.
Not even the playoffs
“How would you like to play for your pops team?”
*hangs up*
...because coach told him he was getting drafted anyway, which is what they both wanted.
As a Lions fan, this is actually how fans of bad teams act on draft day, it’s our Super Bowl. Every year we pick in the top 10, and dream of greater things.
I know; I'm a Jets fan....
The shine on my Lombardi from SB 52 wore off real quick. I feel like the Eagles are back to square 1.
That's how we felt in Washington in 2012 ... :/
Next year you wont! Pulling for you tonight to send the rivals home. Hopefully we do the same to Pittsburgh this afternoon. :)
@@douglasschultz9808 In just a year how times have changed for the Eagles! Good luck in the post season.
You know this movie is fiction when Browns fans are chanting about going to the Super Bowl
😂😂 fr
well now they're legit superbowl contenders lmaoo
Go BROWNS
HockeyLife 8 oh what difference a year makes 😂
Now it’s realistic
Putney fumbles the opening kickoff and they lose to the Seahawks on opening day while bo drops 5 touchdowns on them
In real life?
Imagine
Vontae Mack acl tear on the first drive
Not even, tore it getting out of his car at rookie minicamp
Is this movie true to life? I mean obviously the names are made ups but are they references in real life?
The Owner yelling “We had a great day” makes me die laughing everytime
😂😂😂😂
Yeah, me too. It's because I envisioned Frank Langella going though about 5 pages of script dialogue and that snippet was all they used.😅
Then Bo Callahan becomes all pro and wins multiple championships while all of the Browns picks bust
heyymannnnnnn Lol
haha yup sounds about right
I mean. Technically no. If the Browns picked another QB it would just be going back to the old Browns.Think of all the bust QB's they have drafted
Johnny Manziel
Colt McCoy
Brandon Weeden
Deshone Kizer
Doing that again would just be old Browns. That's the story it's trying to tell. Quit drafting Quarterback after Quarterback who are complete bums and actually pick something that can help on your team.
Tim Couch WAS Bo Callahan. Lol
😂
The owner’s belched “We had a great day!” followed so closely by the Browns fans’ cries of “Super Bowl… Super Bowl” is unmatched in its unhinged hilarity.
And pegs the fantasy meter
Bo Callahan went on to win 8 Super Bowls and Vontaze Mack abandoned the team to act in a movie called "Black Panther"
LOL
Yes
Bo Callahan is based on Tommy Maddox. Sticking up for the lie was based on a true incident.
Arian Foster should of gotten an academy award for his performance here. He really made me believe he was a football player getting drafted
I spit my drink out dying of laughter when they started chanting “super bowl”, I haven’t seen this movie in so long I forgot abt that part
30th like
Sad that Cleveland's best GM is actually Kevin Costner.
OMFG! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! As a lifelong Clevelander, I can fully agree with this!
😂😂😂😂
Saul Goodman probably could put this deal together. Glad they could get him on loan from HHM for the day for the special occasion.
When I saw this movie years ago. When I saw Bo Callahan, he reminded me exactly of Johnny Manziel
...and that is who we drafted that year. I watched this movie for the third time on the actual draft Day when we took that idiot. We paid for that one for the next four years.
I was reminded of Blaine gabbert
L
Draft Day II: 10 years later. Vontae Mack tore his Achilles in camp, never played a down of professional football; Ray Jennings was a bust who was traded to Carolina for a 7th rounder in 2016, was out of the NFL by 2018; Brian Drew struggled until his contract expired in 2017, signed with in state division rival Cincinnati as a backup where he remained until he retired in 2020; David Putney was actually a good punt returner in Cleveland. Bo Callahan is now a hard nosed 10 year vet who has won three SBs in Seattle, and already secured a bronze bust in Canton.
Let’s see, we’ve got Superman and Black Panther on the field, Elektra in the front office, Captain Stacey coaching, and Skeletor owning the team.
Skeletor is a deep cut. Pretty sure no one under the age of 30 has seen godawful live action he man
25th like
I didn’t even know that was Skeletor, and I’ve seen that movie.
Don’t forget Pa Kent as GM
Don't Forget John Diggle/Spartan/Arrow II in War Room
The running back is Arian Foster lol 😂
I thought he looked familiar 😭😭
R.I.P Chadwick Boseman you will be remembered forever ❤️
"How would you like to play for your Pop's old team?"
"Nah, I'm good."
“he took one pick and sprinkled it with fairy dust” no.... he sprinkled it with three 2nd round picks....
The “Super Bowl” chants actually made me laugh out loud 😂😂😂
Charlie Lawson same! 😂
Bo Callahan became the next great QB in the league winning 5 Superbowls, meanwhile the Jennings tore his ACL on the first play of his career, Putney retired after realizing he was traded to Cleveland but vontae mack made 4 pro bowls, won a Superbowl, and won defensive player of the year, after he was traded to Miami for a 7th round pick. Coach Penn and Sonny were fired, the browns were sold to Baltimore again and Sonny and Ali got a divorce.
THE END! What a great story lol
😂😂😂
this must have been fun for arian foster to film because he was undrafted in real life and gets to play a first round pick in the movie
Getting my yearly watch in. I really wish they had done a sequel of the Browns' season. That could have been awesome!
Absolute favorite guilty pleasure movie. What a comedy
"This is the day for Cleveland to celebrate"
That quote didn't age well.
did they lose that year?
Paco Gomez L
Made it to the divisional and nearly beat the chiefs 😂
This post didn’t age well
Life before being king...
Wakanda forever!
Thanks for sharing these clips. I've seen all that I've visited before, some of them I own, but it's nice to have the clips at my fingertips...
Terry Crews made me literally tear up by his acting at :08 .
I teared up at the phone call. If you like Football and you know this moment than you just need to
"I'm gonna be a Brown!"
"I'm sorry to hear that."
Thanks for sharing these clips.
Best sci-fi/fantasy movie ever.
Browns make draft magic
Go 0-16 next season
Stangman Seahawks with BO 16-0
lmao
Stangman LMAO
Browns get their asses kicked. Like they always do.
Trailer Mashup Production only to throw an int in the super bowl
Rip Chadwick 🙏 wakanda forever
This is a miracle as ever that I hadn’t been into NFL before and I will get to see it again like Remember The Titans for Denzel Washington?
The Super Bowl chants at the end were the best.
When they chant Super Bowl that was funny
1:07 look how fast the old guy in the middle with the mustache moves his head lol
Like a twitch or something lol. So weird
@@xjcrossx a glitch in reality? Either that or bad editing.
@@splitpitch i said twitch. Lol
@@xjcrossx I know you did, definitely not a twitch. Evidence of the matrix perhaps.
2014: *amazing draft*
*Chants Superbowl*
2015: goes 1-15
2016: goes 0-16
Browns + Superbowl = N/A
Says the guy with an Eagles logo as his pic... 😂😂
_"Didn't the Browns beat the shit out of the Eagles int he 50's when the Eagles was a super team that year and the Browns were an expansion joke?"_
Even better, when they played again later that season, the Browns beat them without throwing a single pass after complaints about the way they ran their offense.
Razor Smith if you wanna be accurate the Eagles won a Championship 10 years after
Cause the Eagles did that already 😂😂
Ummmmmm.....ur an eagles fan lmao
Wait, so essentially they traded away 3 2nds and are paying $7mil more for Vontae Mack for a RB and a PR?
IDK unless Ray Jennings ends up like a S.Barkley or A.Peterson I still think they got fleeced.
Arian Foster went from undrafted in real life, to first round pick in movie
One of the best days of the football season is upon us once again. GO BRONCOS, QUARTERBACK!
I love your videos
and on their opening day the Browns lost 32-3.
The only time Vontae Mack got near the opposition's QB was after the game was over and they shook hands.
Meanwhile, Bo Callahan threw for a total of 6 TDs and no INTs during his preseason games.
hollywoodwerewolf
You do know the names and positions were changed for the movie. Right.
Basically he paid an extra 7m, lost three 2nd rounders and got a RB and a punt returner. That's not a good deal
@Marc Aruguete They have QB extended on a cheap deal.Should be able to afford QB and pass rusher down the line. Had early pick in draft. Don't likely have many other decent players
@Marc Aruguete yeah, because you pay those guys. You don't let them leave. The team in the movie chose pass rusher over QB. You don't make that move and then lose him after rookie contract
Rip Chadwick. 2020 ain't letting us get a rest
Rest in Paradise Chadwick 🙏🏽
As a matter of fact, i just took the browns to the super bowl.
Jack Blast ha i get it.. massive dump huh lol
And then you turned off your Xbox
After that Ali came over and serviced your tapioca sprinkler.
How the scene should have gone...
"Hello?"
"Mr Jennings, this is Coach Penn. How would you like to play for your old man's team?"
"You want me to play for the Baltimore Ravens?"
RIP Chadwick Boseman
High time for a sequel
I am no Brown fan but I would love to see them get to the Super Bowl . Win or lose that would be a good day.
And then they traded Vontae to the Bears for 2 1st round picks and Jennings for another 1st to Dallas
All three picks are now starters.
Yes being a Browns fan this was the draft day I was waiting for my entire life.
Following year..."with the first pick in the draft, the Cleveland Browns select..."
You know it's a fictional movie when Cleveland Browns fans start chanting "Super Bowl"
“We had a great day!”
2017 Browns fans after week 17...
the big part people dont mention.
those picks will go through hell for him, cause he went through it for them.
Chadwick RIP but I wish back alive
Of any sports movie ever, this is the farthest from reality...and that includes a movie where a guy plays catch with his dead dad at the end...
This comment deserves a lot more thumbs up. I'm cracking up!
You are goals, when it comes to funny comments
What movie is that? Lol
Michael T and a movie where an autistic waterboy becomes the best player in the NCA despite never playing football before
@@hurrythepeace9443 hahahaha. Momma says thank you!
It's a movie. It's a fantasy. For a longtime Browns fan who remembers Paul Browns Browns and the 8 total championships from all leagues (ancient history? Yes but so what, it still counts), it brought a smile to my face....we can dream, can't we? If they made it about the cowboys or the steelers, it would be hailed as a great feel good movie for the ages.
Hopefully one day The browns make it to the super bowl
Wow, that was the 50’s!
This is John Lynch passing on Patrick Mahomes for Solomon Thomas 😂😂
Never seen someone so happy to be a Cleveland Brown.
Perhaps this makes more sense in 2021. Good team now.
Yall saying this movie is fake because the Browns fans are chanting super bowl. Look at em now🔥
Still trash
Still haven't been to a super bowl and not even in the playoffs in how many seasons? Lol. You can say Baker and all these new teammates make this team great. But honestly only thing that matters in this game is winning the division, going to playoffs and going all the way. Browns haven't done that 2003 and 95 before that even first round playoffs. And now cause y'all got Odell Beckham that's going to change against Ravens that were number 1 def, Steelers and Bengals, pshh dude you're high lol.
Yeah you definitely have a point.
@Gmoney3nt Ravens have won 2 super bowls and were number 1 def and AFC North champions last season lol what are you even talking about. Steelers have been North Champs and superbowls the most in our division. Browns haven't even won a playoff game since 2002 and all of a sudden they're supposed to be amazing even though they haven't proven it yet lol. Right your high dude lol. See statistics and facts go further then your personal feelings dude.
Yeah.....lot at em now. 0-1 and their QB sucked once again.
Just three years later the browns go 0-16
Rip Chadwick Boseman❤
The Browns that is where you send players to fade away. Have a good time OBJ!
I don’t know much about US sports, but Cleveland seems to be the butt of a lot of jokes. And not just in American Football.
They’ve been a sub par losing team ever since they were brought back into the league. Mismanaged, poorly coached, bad drafts, and a losing culture. Only recently has Cleveland started to really turn it around.
Hearing Brown's chant Super Bowl made me laugh. Cause I can't see that happening anytime soon.
so many years later and it's still funny watching people act excited to be drafted by Cleveland.
For the first time since Christmas Eve 2016, the Browns ended their losing streak of 34 games in a row last night against the Jets. 1-1-1 to start the 2018 season, that Super Bowl run is still alive LOL!
Nothing says draft day excitement like ultimately giving up 3 second rounders for a punt returner.
You can't possibly be this obtuse. He had a #7 and the three second rounders for "this season" and the next two seasons. 4 players. He ends up with The #1 pick, the #6 pick and the punt returner after it was all said and done. So in the end he got the stub RB and the top PR in the game for three second rounders. Two high caliber players now in exchange for three unknowns over three seasons. That is a move a smart trader would do 10 out of 10 times.
but its david god damn putney
Let's break this down for a second
If the Browns make no trades in this movie:
#7 pick: Vontae Mack
What the Browns actually did:
#1 pick (Trade with SEA: Send 2014 1st, 2015 1st, and 2016 1st for 2014 #1 pick): Vontae Mack
#6 pick (Trade with JAX: Send 2014 2nd, 2015 2nd, and 2016 2nd for 2014 #6 pick)
#7 pick (Trade with SEA: Receive 1st 2014, 1st 2015, 1st 2016, and Dave Putney for 2014 #7 pick): Ray Jennings
Browns gave up 3 2nd round picks for a punt returner and a running back, not to mention paying more for Mack when you could have gotten him at #7 and paid him less money.
I'm convinced writers for this movie only watch the commercials when the super bowl is on.
Loved the movie wish we got to see how all those players turn out
0:20 ... sorry for your loss.
I started dying of laughter when the browns fans started chanting "Super Bowl" 😂
Vontae Mack has stellar rookie season but gets injured half way through an can never recapture his college form, Ray Jennings is cut after his rookie season for assaulting an almost killing a man, David putny tears acl an retired after first year with the browns...all the while Bo wins 2 Super Bowls in his first 5 years
We had a great day! Super ball, super ball, super ball!
Vasil Angelov bowl*
“super bowl super bowl...” 💀💀💀
The filmmakers going with the BROWNS immediately makes this movie a comedy
Great movie
This is like a dream before you having a stroke.
Vontae Mack and Ray Jennings had amazing careers while Bo Callahan had locker room issues and ended up with the Rams
And after another lackluster season with the Rams, his contract is sold to the XFL
Vontae Mack goes on to tear his ACL and MCL in training camp, never plays a down. Ray Jennings beats his gf, gets suspended for the season, gets cut, goes on to have a breakout year with Patriots before signing a monster deal with the Houston Texans. Putney is average, but gets CTE due to playing behind a laughable special teams unit and is out of the league in 3 years.
All the front office is fired by the same time next season. The end
Dude, that went a bit too dark.
UppyMcDowny - CTE takes many years to develop
LMFAO 🤣🤣🤣
When i saw this on cable and they chanted superbowl i fell over laughing
More likely to happen browns winning the superbowl or 2 teams going 0-16 in one season
well after this off season moves they made. they have a pretty good chance of winning the superbowl
morbidgenesis They aren’t even a top 10 team no o-line or linebackers they are a minimal of 3 years away from contending and knowing them forever
Gmoney3nt Baker is Good but they have almost no one who has been in the playoffs before
Gmoney3nt The Vikings are a top 10 team with a good shot better than the Browns
Gmoney3nt But the browns don’t have elite coaching and talent i think they can go to the playoffs with Lucks retiring as a wildcard but that’s it
I love when they're all chanting Super Bowl like it's something the Browns will pull off this century.
Draft Day came out in 2014. The 2014 Draft had Johnny Manziel and Kahlil Mack. Cleveland drafted Manziel and missed out on Kahlil Mack.
Week 1 that season RayJennings tore his ACL on the opening kick return while Putney retired when he realized he was traded to Cleveland. Bo Callahan threw for 400 yards and 4 touchdowns against them in opening week. The browns went 0-16 in three consecutive years causing sunny to get fired. Vontae mack was seen as one of the biggest draft busts ever until he demanded a trade. He was traded to Miami where he turned his career around and won 3 defensive player of the year awards. Bo Callahan became the greatest QB in NFL history and the browns sold the team back to Baltimore
Baker MayField #6
The Browns went onto next season as playoff contenders with their young core of stars. As expected, they started 2-0, with everyone contributing. However, Brian Drew began have multiple concussions over the course of the season, and only started 9 games. They put more weight on the young Ray Jennings, who would tear his ACL in Week 3 in a 35-9 loss. Their defense was stout, but in Week 9 Vonte Mack was tested positive for anabolic steroids and was suspended for the rest of the year. The Browns finished 5-11, as Jennings was released in the offseason, and Drew retired a year after. However, in the West, Bo Callahan went through all obstacles, taking the Seahawks to a 10-6 record, making the playoffs and going all the way to the NFC Championship. He won Offensive Rookie of the Year, and went on to win 4 Super Bowls for the Seahawks, while the Browns continue their downward spiral.
Man now I get why Draft Day 2 isn't a thing LOL
I like this movie....It's Chadwick Boseman like you've never seen him before
11.20.20 - Browns still have a shot at the Superbowl - unbelievable, but true
Three second round picks for a running back and David “God damn” Putney? Very realistic movie, sounds like something the Browns would do
He did get the first round picks back….
@@clintfowler1526still gave away the 2nd rounders
@@bakedcrusader455 for another top 10 pick and a quality punt returner. You got the QB you want, a dominant back, weapons and a line to work with, and the best pass rusher in the draft. And all you did was give up a second rounder for the next three years
I don't care what people say about the audacity of this film praising Cleveland. It's a brilliant film that encapsulates how a team that doesn't get enough recognition make it work. It's a beautiful depiction of knowing and trusting players in what they can do. Yes it's near impossible. But at least its not the Cowboys or the Patriots making these moves, because it would seem like they are cheating, its too easy for them to make these calls.
