    +1 on topping off the fuel. Spent the night stuck in the snow, kept the engine running for warmth and in the morning the heat had melted enough snow under me to drive out (after a little digging). Glad I had enough fuel.

    They block off the FS roads around here with 6ft walls of snow to prevent people getting their sedans stuck. Ruins it for those of us with Jeeps. 😭

    I went snow wheeling a lot this year on my Nitto Trail Grapplers at near 5psi and I gotta tell you, I DO NOT RECOMMEND taking the Trail Grapplers in the snow. They are a 100% rock crawling tire with virtually zero traction in the snow. Snow wheel at your own risk.

    What axles on the glad? Also what axles are those other jeeps using where they can lock there hubs on the hub itself?

    Please tell me about that radio mount! I've been trying to figure out where to put a CB and 2m/440 and that looks like a good solution.

      I built a quick release mount and put my hf/vhf under the rear seat, and have the remote faceplate in an X grip on the dashbar. I haven't mounted the microphone overhead just yet.

    How can you talk about anticipating the worst case scenario and not have ONE spare tire between the three of you?

    • @Built2Wander
      @Built2Wander 3 года назад +1

      We had two spare tires between the three of us. One in the truck bed of the gladiator & one inside the back of the JL which is 8 lug and can be used for either the JK or JL. Definitely should of mentioned that!

      Thanks for clearing that up...I think there were several posters mentioning the same observations.

    I will have to off road alone in the snow in Colorado. when I get my car ready. I was on silly off-road groups on Fakebook, and it taught me that I don't want to go to Oregon or the state above it. I also found out that I don't want anything to do with Coloradians when I go to Colorado This Subaru group the people said that I should not off road alone. This girl told me that I could not come to her state last winter because of the Corona beer virus, and the locals don't take kindly to outsiders. Well this local don't take kindly to people that has red, blue, and green mountain tags on the front and back of their cars in my state. I saw them during the pandemic in my state of Floridah. So yes I will off road alone in their state. I wish that I never went on Fakebook.
