Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is an anime film released in 1992, which was a joint production between teams in both India and Japan! Despite the film's obscurity, it actually proved to be a very interesting and well animated movie, that I thought held up to the tests of time quite well!

yes in Hindusim there are 8 siddhis(stages of power ) that you can achive by immense meditaion and yoga.

8. Vaśitva: The power to subjugate everyone and everything, especially the physical manifestation made up of 5 elements;the power of hypnotizing, mesmerizing, Vaśīkaraṇa, Saṃmohinī of celestials, humans, demons, animals, birds, reptiles, and trees.

Not just India but also in Combodia, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka people are aware about Ramayana and they do a play in several of these countries depicting a short summary to locals and tourists every year usually on Diwali which is the day when Lord shri Ram return to his kingdom. Korean and Chinese have their own version where they took some parts of Ramayana and made it their own gods as they have also shown it in their movies. People are not aware about these facts.

What time period are we talking about? A lot of people here like throwing around random numbers like 5000 BC, 10k BC etc, which would be factually wrong if we use the gold example here because copper was the first metal used ( chalcolithic age) followed closely by bronze ( Indus valley).

In an essence, he tries to say that our real selves are our souls, and that we are all eternal beings, and there was never a time we didn't exist.

For those of you who think this is a fictional story it is not. This is our history, The bridge which was built by lord Rama to the island of lanka still exists. It is even visible from space. You can see it on Google earth. The mountain which lord hanuman brings from Himalaya because of the rare herb “sanjeevani”. Scientist have found few plant species in southern state of Tamil nadu , which are not native to southern India. Those plants are found only in northern India in the Himalayas .
All the incidents described in Ramayana are for real.
Its Pre Bible Era, at least 10 centuries before Bibles era. So the walking over sea etc, is Ramayanic.

You should also know the Buddhist Monkey King's story is inspired from Hanuman's legend. The bridge they made still exists and is called " Ram Setu ". Ravan's palaces shown also exist even today in Sri Lanka

It's like how Guru Nanak was born in Hinduism but separated himself from it and founded a new religion. If I start a new religion today ( which is completely different from Hinduism and denies hindu scriptures) , and down the line it becomes famous then that doesn't mean the new religion I invented would be part of Hinduism.

Shakti is the cause of union and the element of change, and the blissful eternal consciousness, which takes form as shunya bindu or the 0 feminine energy, which is then expressed as prakriti or universal nature.
The vedas consider mahakali as a sort of dark energy (a concept in science) which dissolves the universe.
Lalita gave birth to the universe in the form of a cosmic egg
And finally, adi para shakti is the fundamental source of energy, a sory of cosmic energy that existed before the big bang and will continue to exist after the end of the universe.
All of the tridev get their power from their ardhangani, their wives. Maha vishnu's energy came from the formless concept of lakshmi, who finally took form during the churning of the milk ocean (a cosmic ocean, not necessarily made of liquid) who then married him.
Lord Bhrama took out his energy source from his head (sara) which then took the form of a women; who became devi saraswati.
The legend of annapurna tells us what happened when lord shiv questioned parvati's (basically the corporeal form of shakti) power. As per the itihasa, Shiva once negated the importance of the materialstic comforts and nourishment devi parvati gave to the world, citing it as nothing but a cosmic illusion. He went on to question her power. Hearing him rebuke the things she nurtured as the universal mother yet again, Parvati, the manifestation of Shakti, decided to to teach Lord Shiva a lesson. She took flight from the material word, taking away her half of the cosmic energy that gave life to the universe. As soon as she left, the universe dwindled, and even Shiva felt weak, realising without his better half, the whole universe, including himself, were incomplete. He then learnt the importance of her nourishment and life giving energy.
When she returned to the world as anapurna, he visited her disguised as an old man, holding a begging bowl in his hands, asking for alms. It was his own way of asking for forgiveness. Its quite adorable if you think about it.

This was really great dude. Never knew about this movie, it's amazing.
It had certain historical anomalies though.
1. Like, Vanaras weren't Monkeys, the word literally means Van=forest and Nara=Men. It means forest dweller, vanaras used to wear monkey mask like tribes do today.
2. Ravan didn't had 10 heads, its written where Ravan is showed as an extremely well read brahmin, a person who is so intelligent that its almost like having ten heads, only his ego got the better of him.
3. The whole sea god stuff that you thought was biblical is actually inspired, OG valmiki ramayan had real vanara masons Nal and Neel who planned and built the whole bridge, you can still see it.
4. Many more....U get it.

This is an actual past events , or historical events which happened millions of years ago. Today's sri lanka was Known as Lanka back then , and the evil demon king Ravana was the ruler there . Ravana's boons were that he cannot be killed by Any Gods , demons , Ghosts , Other dimensional beings etc . And the other boon was his 10 heads they are actually 10 dimensions he was granted access to .
Those Monkeys Shown here aren't actually monkey in real life they were none other than Neanderthals ( in our language 'Vanaara' meaning human like beings of the jungles) .
