Yes, Alison does play the violin otherwise known as a fiddle in country music. Alison sings a lot of what is called Bluegrass music but also does straight country. Her band is one of top bands in the business. Alison is also known for having perfect pitch. No auto tune needed for her.

The violin and the Cello are 2 of the hardest instruments to master, and though I have no idea how such things are determined, Allison is considered a virtuoso level violinist.

I had a friend and he was a lot older than me and he was a very very good mandolin player and he played a little bit with Alison . Never belonged to the band . Just knew someone that got him on stage at a bluegrass festival one year . And this is a Keith Whitley song she's doing . Keith is from Kentucky and I am too .
