The perspective is no matter who it is, you feel it through the heart, not words! When grandpa kisses baby silently, when gramps & grams dance with no words! She's basically saying his actions speak louder than words to prove that he loves her.
As mentioned below, Keith Whitley did this one first & it has a totally different vibe than Alisson 's version. His is more country sounding. (You could sing it in his key. LOL) She just sounds like an angel. And the video shows the song can be about any loving relationship, I guess. It definitely is romantic in my eyes as well.

I’ve never heard that. After graduating from the Berklee College of Music, she hit the ground running as a premier bluegrass fiddler and singer. Her stellar band was Union Station- who performed for lip syncing George Clooney and the guys on Man of Constant Sorrow in O Brother Where Art Thou.
Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz wrote this song and Keith Whitley had a hit with it in 88
