Why are people using metal fx with the highest graphical setting possible? Shouldn’t it be used with a lower graphical setting to actually allow metal fx to upscale?
In fact, it can be used in Spatial mode, lowering the resolution to enhance performance. While maintaining good image quality. (Depending on resolution) But it can also be used with native resolution (Temporal mode) to achieve better image quality.
@@AuthenTIiq Though at the moment it's best use scenerio is to have texture quality at max while having all other settings at low, making it can drop power consuption till 4w usage per second which is so important for device's longivity. I hope they will implement this on android devices. Despite iphones tend to have worse cooling system than majority of android devices, specially Iphone 15 Pro Max can sustain longer periods of gaming with decent visuals because of MetalFX.
not really, it runs the game on lesser resolution and upscales it to max resolution so you have 50-60% better fps with no heating. you can maintain 120 fps with not much drops or battery drain

I haven't tested lowering certain parameters, but I'm playing in Maximum 60fps + MetalFX (Temporal).
