Thank you for not interrupting him to make your comments. Others have spoiled the presentation by doing so. He was simply the best ever, there may never be another like him.
If this was your first opera experience, I'm reminded of a comment I read about this performance: Listening to Pavarotti as your first opera is like taking your first car ride in a Rolls Royce.
……………………………………. I have never in my 39 years on this earth heard anyone describe experiencing Pavarotti for the first time & as your first opera singer more accurately.
Pavarotti is the GREATEST tenor to EVER grace the stage. You don’t need to know what he’s singing to feel what he means. He makes you feel it. If you can listen to this and not get chills you should go to an ER because you have no heart.
@@carlstyth8368 Bocelli is a popular recording artist with the general public. His voice isn't strong enough for real opera performances which are sung without amplification.
Part of it is Luciano Pavarotti and part of it is Puccini. Puccini's operas are emotional and amazing and Pavarotti is the master or was the master of these operas. The music itself can just just pull up all kinds of emotion and you didn't even need to know what the singer is saying because you can feel you can feel it. I loved your reaction.
The Great Pavarotti . People say he was the Greatest TENOR this century . He Truly has a magnificant voice . I am no opera fan but listening to this was pure magic . Thanks John
Well, Pavarotti died in 2007, so it would be fair to say that he's been the greatest tenor voice of the 21st Century SO FAR. However, if we go back to the 20th Century, when Pav was in his prime, then I'm afraid that I can't agree. Even Pav conceeded that his hero, Jussi Bjorling, was the greatest.
Puccini and Verdi composed their operas in the late 19th century and the period became known as Bel Canto (beautiful singing). Only the most talented and the bravest artists attempt these operas. Pavarotti evokes great emotions because his gift is from God and his artistry makes the soul homesick for Heaven. Tears flow to clear the vision and reset the mind. All of this you experienced with your first hearing of a virtuoso, the greatest of our time.
Dear Madam, I'm very grateful you're sharing this. You had the power not to interrupt. So you did not cut in this painting and left it with respect listening, allthough it was hard because of inner-emotions. Thank You for being you. Welldone!
hi, I'm Italian, you need to know the story that this work tells to fully appreciate it, and the deeper meaning that the story teaches, the legend tells of a princess Turandot, daughter of the Chinese emperor, and of a prince who is put before of the riddles, if he solves these riddles he will be able to marry her otherwise he will die, in the song he expresses the hope that he will win the test and be able to kiss her and have her as his wife, the deepest meaning is that in general even when something seems impossible to achieve one must never lose seeing his courage and determination, in the end he shouts that he will win at dawn

This is one of the greatest performances I have ever seen. It's hard to imagine what he has to put forth to have the power and emotion in his voice. You don't have to see the lyrics to feel the emotion and you can see him let it out when he's done and he almost gets an angry face but then he lets it go and relaxes. Amazing.

As a man who experienced a fairly hard life and a struggle with mental illness I heard this song first after I was healed. With a clear mind and a good outlook on life. I cried to a song with no understanding of what he was saying just pure emotion. I felt like I could understand him. And relate. After getting my myself together I looked up the English translation. At the end the final note is translated to " I WILL WIN". As I read that I started tearing up again. This is the greatest vocal performance in the history of man kind. If I could leave 1 piece of our civilization for someone else to find it would be a recording of this .
Beautiful heartfelt reaction to one of the best tenors ever! Pavaroti was also part of a supergroup called The Three Tenors in the 90's and early 2000's. Along with Pavaroti, was Placido Domingo, and Jose Carreras. Two of their signature songs were Nessun Dorma and O Sole Mio. Another Pavaroti song you'll love is Ave Maria. Also, there's a concert video of he and James Brown performing Brown's song It's a Man's World. It's mind blowing 🤯
Luciano Pavarotti was truly a maestro - the passion and emotion in his voice has been always something magic.
