He & Farouk have been comparing notes about endurance!🤣I love how his ears so show his state of mind: "Yay, I'm in front" "Boo, I'm behind". Looks like a nice ride. And as far as him not wanting to walk, well that's what you get for having an in shape & condition forward horse!😁😜

I'm just amazed at Apollo's stamina! He just keeps going & going! (Like the 'Energizer bunny' commercial here in the US). What a fabulous horse he is. I love his sneaky way of walking... half walk / half trot! Haha... He thinks he's fooling his mum! Love these videos Tara! Blessings!♥

The big man can cover a lot of ground. The Apollo walk is impressive, but when he started to trot at "cruise" he over took the others very quickly. He is a mover. Everyone is very pleasant, even in the event of a near collision. Apollo is an impressive horse ... seems to be able to canter forever. I'm sure you are getting a work out too, Tara. I enjoy this video very much. Thank you.

That horse was fidgety before that so good she's walking to calm him down. You have to have eyes and ears everywhere Tara! It is always a joy watching Apollo , he loves his canter and would love to be first , but he also settles down, when you want him walking. I was surprised to have these two horses come at you from behind, but at liest they gave you a warning shout.

🏇 "But Boss, there's more horses out in front I have to catch!". Apollo must be on high alert - he's scanning more from side-to-side than radar dishes do!
It may be my perception, but that paint and bay are always riding tight to one another, much closer than a horse would tolerate from anyone other than it's stablemate.
    Two final observations:
    1. Any horse which ran into Apollo would rebound while Apollo just stood there; and
    2. I saw Apollo eyeing those hurdles along the side of the way. He really would make a good jumper as he appears to enjoy it.

This near-crash reminds me that, since I tend to ride the Sound Mare™️, I'm often the rider who handles these little events by either getting at the front to lead the way in a "can't overtake me" manner (thus keeping the naughty horses at the back in line) or by closing the group to have a bit of no-nonsense at the back as well so the other horses don't inspire each other too much into a race.

Apollo said my brakes won’t fail Tara, I could stop in a flash but of course I’d have to careful that you didn’t go for a flying lesson over my ears, just joking, but ghe best way to keep out of trouble is to keep going at a steady canter out in front, it’s the best place to be for a herd leader, other horses will take note of my immaculate care and behaviour limiting risk to everyone. Now let’s go, I’ll talk to you in sign language using my ears as we go along, if they are pricked forward if means let’s go, if they are slightly back it means I’m open to discussing any situation we come across and if they are laid right back it either means I’m very annoyed or there is extreme danger and be prepared.
