Microchipping will not stop this. Shutting down back yard breeders will help. Having serious consequences for people who let their dogs roam loose may. And mandatory classes for people who adopt ALL breeds could be a good thing. I come from a city that had serious aggressive dog law enforcement. It made a big difference.

Dog owners need to be held accountable.

Micro chipping is not prevention for this issue. Dogs need to be properly housed and restrained. Irresponsible ownership is most often the root cause of dog attacks.

Completely pointless, just another way to issue tickets for non-compliance. Profit generation. Start making people accountable for their dogs, minor children and firearms. If your gun, kid or dog is involved in a crime, you are responsible!

Really , making laws are easy but enforcement comes after the tragedy.
If you are seeing dogs that are of the same breed, it's time to make it illegal to own with jail time to think .. make it a crime to own and enforce it .

This woman put a toddler around 2 American bulldogs and their puppies. We don't need new laws we need parents with common sense.

And owner's. No owner should let a child around a dog who has puppies. This falls on all adults involved. Back yard breeding is a problem in our city. I bought a 7 month old female bully breed off Facebook. Ppl were begging the owners to fix her before selling her. I bought her and fixed her. Was going to re-home her, but soon realized she has behavior problems from being locked in a kennel for 23 hours out of a day. While I love the breed. Things do need to change. She endured abuse before trying to be sold at a prime age to start breeding. So now I have a dog who lacks social skills and is fear reactive. If she had been bred. It wouldn't have been pretty. Love the changes of holding ppl responsible and not the dog itself. ❤

Baloney. ANY breed that has been show statistically to be so much more likely to attack and cause death needs TO BE BANNED. This is common freaking sense. We recognize herding dogs tend to show herding behavior without being trained to do it, Huskies want to run for miles and miles and love the snow, but with these dogs? OH NO IT'S ALL LEARNED. M kay. Tell me another one.

I was abused as a child. I was hurt inside and hurting others. It was 100% a product of my environment. It wasn't until I was removed that healing started. Now I'm a good guy.

Some breeds need space to roam so natural escapers happens. Aggression is 100% taught/uncorrected. I grew up around breeds typically associated with being protectors and they were so lovey but chihuahuas and small dogs are waaaay worse!! So, responsible ownership/training is the key. And yeah more expensive breeder license costs. This is why Craigslist, offerup/let go and marketplace don't allow for selling or rehoming of pets to reduce homebreeders.
