TGC is like a 90s Christian bookstore. There are a few good resources, but there are so many bad resources and falsities that I would hesitate to send a young undiscerning believer there. I cringe every time I receive a TGC article recommendation from my pastor.
I quit referencing TGC all together. just not worth it to support them with a click. there are multiple other mediums to obtain information and stories. what you said was very well put. thank you for that.

I remember my dad buying a young me a Christian book that I selected at our local “Baptist” bookstore. I selected The Force of Star Wars, a strange little paperback which tried to shoehorn the Christian worldview into that Yin-and-Yang Buddhistic ideology. Thanks, Christian bookstore.

Pastor Wilson, I do not agree with you on every point of doctrine, but I rejoice in your outspoken affirmation of the Lordship of Jesus and the authority of God's word. Your linguistic agility and wit delight my heart. Day after day I am encouraged by your blog. I want to assure you of what you already know--what you are doing is in no way inconsequential. You are lifting up Jesus and encouraging others to do the same. We participate with the Saviour in this business of redeeming the world one heart or thousands at a time but it all matters. PRESS ON!

I almost lol'd at the idea of TGC being the future voice of conservative Evangelicalism. Even now, I'd only label them moderate on the average. They seem to care a lot about certain issues that really matter, but display negative 20/20 vision about most of the smaller (relatively) issues leading up to the big issues. Case in point: throughout 2020 TGC featured articles about "liberty of conscience when voting" which were clearly aimed at urging evanjellies to ignore the history and warning signs of Biden, but they were caught blindsided when Biden's administration introduced the Equality Act.
The Equality Act was fully formed PRIOR to the election, and those of us who have eyes to see were well aware of the disastrous possibilities of a Biden administration…Let’s go Brandon!!
Sometimes, stupidity comes with the PhDs. Once we recognize that, suddenly everything about those self-congratulatory and self-appointed leaders in TGC becomes clear and readily apparent.
So thankful for all the men like you. God has raised you up for such a time as this.....

Doug as I am lying here in a hospital bed in the Gulf side of Florida I just have to say after beating the Vid I now find myself fighting to take a breath. I have been binge watching blog and Mayblog and your wit and way of finding the spark of joy in my day. I pray you have the joy that you gave given me dear brother. I keep saying "we are in this situation (politically, socially, economically, etc) not really because of liberals but because of the cowards of the so-called "right." "Tiny and inconsequential"...someone needs to re-read the entire New Testament. What Christ's Church is doing is just like what the new testament model of a church should be doing and praise God for it!

I’m southern Baptist and questioned why the local church was so willing to go in business with TGC and was told- .” We’re getting so many young people coming to the SBC/TGC church plant , we can’t stop something that looks that good.” I’m pretty sure the Lords wrath will affect all parties involved though.

CT was suffering symptoms of liberal cancer when I first came to know the Lord over four decades ago. Moody was still relatively sound at that time, but you wouldn’t know it by what they’re putting on the airwaves today. I’m not that familiar with TGC. but if they don’t realize that friendship with the world is enmity with God they will be embracing liberal compromise with the secular to their own destruction.

“Pirates for Jesus”! I love that. I stumbled upon Doug, (not literally!), while chuckling at clips of some of the more well-known present-day Christian Reformers. I chuckled good-naturedly, being rather a conservative Christian 60+ year old myself. Somewhat of a ragamuffin believer, I am drawn to those who belong to the Lord and aren’t afraid of individuality. So, hearing Doug Wilson speaking in those conference clips led me to find this channel. Thanks.

The "deplorables" deserve a better theologian than Doug Wilson. The main problem with Wilson is a defective Gospel.
RUclipss post requested my opinion on your video as a recommendation… I denied novel because your video appeared to speak truth that speaks to the soul in a timeless way. I did chose useful, entertaining, informative and calming. The common sense subject matter delivered by wise father like wisdom was summed up quite well by these offered preselections. I was about as unsure of the choice of other as I am of words like pansexual, nonbinary and transgender so that one got skipped as well.

Articulate as per Mr Wilson, observation,. I noticed an upturn in brotherly squabble between true believers, over finer points of doctrine and over morality. This was quite the Downer for me till I realized that this must be the bride getting everything perfect for her wedding. Satan is there with all that TNT blowing things thoroughly out of proportion. Well, this man is talking politics, not the Christian faith. One comes to Jesus willingly or not at all. We cannot force others to embrace Jesus Christ. Our plan is obvious. We intend to create a religious state that wields political power and use that to rid the nation of all the evil... We must get rid of our own sins first. When we judge others we also open ourselves to judgment. In essence, we lose our salvation. We are not judges we are supplicants for salvation. There are no politics in the judgment. We simply reap what we have sown.

This is an idiosyncratic moment.
We are a peculiar people. People are ashamed of the Gospel, and God forbid the culture speak a negative word against us. Then we conflate our own cowardice with being a good witness for Christ which supposedly equals playing quietly on our side of the classroom and not saying or doing anything when a fellow classmate is beating the daylights out of another classmate or is trying to set the classroom ablaze. Since when did being a Christian mean controlling other people's words so they say nothing bad about us? Since when did being a Christian mean to not say or do things that are controversial, never mind as to what God's Word has to say about it? If Christians today aren't careful, they will become just as lifeless as the many iconclastic statues that adorn Catholic churches.
