First, unscrew the filler plug because you'll be in trouble if you won't be able to fill up after draining your gearbox oil.

Hi all! The best gear oil viscosity for these manual transmissions type 02T is SAE 75W, and API GL-4 standard is a must. You can go with factory oil fill about 8years and max 150-200.000km. But after that always change in 5-years interval. I put in mine SWAG SAE 75W API GL-4,the same is Febi Bilstein but there is also LIQUI MOLY 5100 MTF 75W, or WOLF ECO SAE 75W. Also Comma is a great producer,or Ravenol, Mannol. Always use some reliable and well known product. If car has many kilometres in it, then you can go with SAE 75W-80 grade and API GL-4 too.
And yes, for cars like: Seat Ibiza 6L1, this Fabias and Vw Polo are the same. Engines petrol 1,2; 1.4 with 75,86,100hp until diesel 1.9tdi 100hp engines.

It's actually not in it nor is the information on what viscosity oil it or how much it wants.

The Oil -75w-90 GL5.
Next time unscrew 1 more bolt. Torx 45 on black metal insert of selector system. And then remove insert and drain oil. ;)

Every 50,000 miles for a gearbox oil change. You can't go wrong.
How much oil goes into this? I only got 1.4l
