Its sad that google can slap a thermometer in pixel 8 pro, which nobody wanted or asked for, but they can not acomodate a SD card slot. These companies stripping away popular features like headphone jack or sd card slot, makes me look toward sony xperia 1 v. If sony promised 5years of software n security, i would buy it at any price at all.
Please compare google pixel 8 pro, vs sony experia 1 v, vs samsung s23 ulta, in terms of user experience, UI, in hand feel, features, battery drain time, thermal management, and value for money. I ll buy one of these 3.
Waiting for response. Thanx
Iphone noob...
My brain can't comprehend that you're NOT andrew Garfield 😂
I've accepted it at this point, he is Andrew Garfield
Tom Holland replaced him at marvel so he's hustling here
Now I can't unsee it
I have the pixel 8 pro and it has been working quite well with no issues, but I'm excited for the s24 ultra with all of the on device ai coming !
14:32 On the Samsung you can change the type of bokeh and the amount of background blur in post
Im currently at work and my google 8 pro and google watch 2 waiting for me at home. Cant wait to move from my zflip 4!
Extremely helpful!
Why do you always seem to downrank phones with more noise? I would much rather have a photo with noise and more detail and a smudged out de-noised photo. Im returning the pixel 8 pro for this reason. The noise reduction is way too high for any professional application indoors(outdoors its less noticeable). Im going back to my Xperia 1V - I only bought both to compare them anyways I guess....
This is not a hate comment btw, I love your content :)
Is the Xperia so much better? Do you shoot RAW? Maybe you can try raw on pixel 8 pro
Cause nobody wants noose
@@gigamoment The raws on the pixel arnt really that good(the manual mode isnt that good either).
The xperia is much better when it comes down to manual mode and raws. I am very picky with photo quality, the everyday user probably wouldnt care. The lens flare is much worse on pixel though and that is something the everyday user would notice. I think xperia 1 mark 6 will be Sonys breakthrough into the market.
@@dwights1024 nobody? Do you know in cinema they put artificial noise in order to look more cinematic?
@@s00774 I am totally picky too that's why I am asking. I would love to have a smartphone that can really make company to my Fujifilm, but I haven't found any so far to have good enough quality, except maybe the iPhone 14/15 Pro when shooting in ProRAW only. But I am not sure I want to move to iOS . I haven't used an Xperia.
I want more videos filmed at 2160p 60 hdr
Team pixel ❤❤❤
So Photos of people and animals its Samsung. Indoor shots are Samsung. Video is Samsung. Sorry Google I have to go with the older Samsung here, sadly.
Samsung s23 ultra camera very good
@jeisupa in your dreams
@@edu_6312Google's processing in photos evidently beats Samsung overall though
Wrong! S23U is the best.
SIMPLY THE BEST!!@@vtortegz
Samsung better
You forgot to mention that the samsung supports 4k 60fps with hdr. I think samsung must improve the 4k 60fps at night, it's so soft and noisy.
*samsung does better than pixel
zoneoftech: s23 is slightly better
*pixel does better than samsung
zoneoftech: pixel 8 pro is significantly better, pixel 8 pro absolutely crushes
bruh! you guys overhype these low effort overpriced pixel phones waaaay too much credit and allow them to jackup their prices. pixel 8 pro is definitely not worth 1000$.
Changing softening to medium in camera assistant elevates the S23 series pictures to a whole new level.
Could not agree with you more. Turn it to high and it is genuinely too soft. WHY DON'T MORE REVIEWERS MENTION THIS CRITICAL POINT?.
@@neilmcguinness4422 Most reviewers make comparisons with default options because that's the way the brand WANTS the consumer to get their photos. And because it makes it unfair to have advantage in a phone and don't have a option in the other phone.
Also because they are borrowed the devices to make a review, I guess the brand may need to pay (or pay more) to the reviewer to make the phone look better with hidden options.
all that does is take the already sharpened image and apply a softening filter to it. you could achieve this yourself with more accuracy and control in lightroom. a terrible feature to use unless you really don't want to edit your photos which at that point you should be an iphone / pixel user
@@JALC-x That appears to be completely incorrect. What is your source?
@@JALC-x so people should have to use an iPhone if they don’t want to edit their own photos. I’m sure the number is around 90% of people if not more don’t edit their photos. Quite Statement there
In Samsung's camera assistant app you can add softening which cancels out the over sharpening making the images look better. I will definitely be keeping my S23 Ultra for another year and will see what the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel watch 3 bring.
This. This is the setting that kept me from sending back my S23 Ultra. Nearly went back to my Pixel but setting the softening to medium really makes the photos look nice.
As someone who has a P6Pro, hold opn to your Samsungs. They are better all-around phones and productivity devices. The Pixel offers more on the surface but is ultimately not as versatile. With the Samsung, you have to know to make tweaks and adjustment. Pixel does work right out of the box, but there isn't much you can do with it after.
Also you can disable camera autoswitch, so you will use 10x even in low light when you need it. Expert RAW sometimes is better in low light on 10x.
Nahhh.. the sharpening is still there, and it is still visible. What softening does is it only reduces the grainy artifacts in the image.
Pixel X not pixel 9
To the point where Google kicks Samsung's ass .
One UI 6 not supporting ultra HDR is suicide.
Samsung is not a phone for the average user. Why? Bcs it have a lot of apps and mods that you can use to elevate your experience. But first of all you need to know those. For ex: good lock, good guardian, camera assistant, expert raw ... and the list goes on.
For instance you can force 10x periscope camera at night by using camera assistant. But if a tech reviewer doesn't know about this how about the average consumer.
Agreed pixel performs better overall important departments other then portraits and stabilization
I alz say Samsung is overrated... The color it produces is not real and bluish. I want Samsung to give us 2/3 default photographic styles like apple and Xiaomi... That will make all types of user happier
S23 ultra is a better phone overall with it's good brand value and it's powerful processor
I know Pixel is great. But Wow S23 Ultra impressed me on so many of these pictures
Have you tried the RAW features or do either of them have that?
Pixel beats on Samsung.......pixel in natural photo....did
In Galaxy s23, you can choose wamer or natural
Bruhh samsung overshappening is crazy and yet people talk bullshit to ice typical samsung fanboy😂😂
You can shoot in 50 or 200 megapixel on samsung n it is so much better....
You can also just lower the exposure value on many of these shots here....
I like the samsung overall camera flexibility
@@akagetobimaru1994he’s shooting in default. I just want a software update since it’s can be fixed easily
▪︎▪︎▪︎ Overall SAMSUNG is better 🎉
You're the first reviewer who has actually told people which phone to take in which use cases. Great job there!
Can you do a full comparison (not just camera) between the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Pixel 8 Pro and the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, since you already have the four phones?
i like your voice on Galaxy S23 Ultra
I'll wait for the S24 Ultra to decide if I'm gonna go with Samsung or Google 👀
Next year you will wait for s25
@@YousufMunna-pp6sh You See, That's The Problem, Google Releases Their Phone Really Late, So You're Better Off Waiting 2 Months For A Better Phone(If Price Does Not Matter)

Não adianta ,pros americanos os smartphones dos EUA sempre serão melhores, mesmo que não sejam.
This american youtuber will always take side of there company. He knows very well how Better S23 ultra is!! But Americans don't take side of a Asian giant company.
I dont care which smartphone is good or bad, you always looks bloody HANDSOME on either 😁
In Samsung's camera assistant app you can disable auto lens switching, enabling Night Mode with 10x lens
Lol😂😂😂 really.... Samsung was better... way better... i don't know what Samsung did this year, but they made the perfect phone!!! S23 ultra is the king 👌 🔥 no iPhone no nothing can come close to Samsung this time...
Except the oversharpening, I agree. Hopefully some software updates so they can appreciate the hard work
EXACTEMENT!!
What does it change ?
99.9% of people do not make pictures of important things for a museum !
This is nitpicking !
Can you disable Samsung‘s oversharpening? It look‘s sooo bad, what happened to the tree here 8:10 😭
I like your camera comparisons. Very fair and informative.
With all due respect, these photos are taken on just auto mode, you adjust the settings on the pro mode you can get obviously good photos
Nice video.
I have to say, I'm a bit dissapointed. Yeah it improved from the 7, but it lacks in so many departments. And it's not really that much cheaper than the samsung.
Google really stepped up their video this time.
It’s possible to pixel might get an update soon to address some of these issues, and to give us some of the software promised at launch. It truly is amazing how these phones are able to capture images and video at this point
Might just be me but I always felt like Samsung did not do the best job at capturing actual people.
One of the reasons I dropped Samsung. Pixel took better shots of my kids and dealt with movement better of people. Didn’t care for the automatic lipstick for all people by Samsung
Using both pixels and galaxy phones over the years, if you have kids or pets that don't stand perfectly still like statues... Do not get a Samsung.
I agree. I think Apple does the best, capturing faces
@@yeshuasfragrantlife1262lol pixel has the best faces 😂
@@maqknightNo it's Apple!.. If you like orange faces that is..😂😂😂
Thank you for the very well made video and giving your own choice at the end.
you are a bad photographer, my 23 ultra takes better pictures
He had a camera protector on the s23 ultra. That's why the shots looked inferior to the pixel. There wasn't anything covering the camera on the pixel.
Where do you see that?
@@danielfenech you can see the metal around the camera looks different, and the top right sensor is partially cut off. the rings around the right lenses are particularly inflated.
@@danielfenechyep i saw that too
This guy looks like Mason Mount's brother
I was hoping to see some comparison about the photography controls each use in their default camera app. Does one have a better pro / manual mode? I still have no idea.
Reducing the sharpening is now possible on ui6.
desgin absrtact wallpapers for palestine please for next week.

11:21 so samsung's 10x optical lens is practically crippled at night, that's a big shame, can it be improved via software update though?
Pixel just nailed it!!🔥 🔥
I really like the natural looks on pixel🥳
do you really want to consider S23 Ultra knowing that S24 is coming in the next couple of weeks (Jan 17)
Learn how to use a camera before reviewing it.
Stupid comment here: I was 🤔💬 : how the dog's leach is floating in the air?!! It took me a bit to realize 😂
Pixel 8 tends to look a lot softer and less detailed this year. I can't help but keep noticing the way it's blending your hair and beard..
I went from Pixel 7 pro to S23 ultra and was shocked at how bad the camera was.
Horrible oversharpening, over brightening many images, and over saturating colours. And don't try to take pictures of moving people in low light.
Thankfully there was camera assistant to resolve oversharening. And Gcam to resolve overbrightening and saturation.
The Samsung 200mp photos are excellent for detail and better colours, but 50mp in size. I love the photo editor on the Samsung, and that it stores all the edits that can be further adjusted later.
All in all with the Pixel I felt more confident of getting a decent shot than the S23 ultra, although the pictures would sometimes look a bit dull, and sometimes noisey in the shadows.
you're kidding
Pixel is the best in still camera
thank you for the video ! But I have to say you have to review your appreciative criteria cause many times you are missing the point.
I don't agree with you. The Google shows the hair pictures with more details. Not the Samsung
What about action mode if im going tick tock live riding bmx in city cbd where theres heaps of bumps on the surface im riding? Is action mode turned on while live stream or only during video recording?
🤔 What's the market interest in a walls subscriptions? Seems quite out of place in 2023. Is this an interest for iOS users?
A mix between the pixel 8 pro and the s23 ultra camera would undoubtedly look better than the iPhone 15 pro max camera
So, "I do prefer Pixels ultra wide video here" or "I do prefer Samsungs ultra wide video here"? 😂
To be honest with you it dosent matter what phone wins or not both phones have amazing cameras one which uses a lot of ai and another uses camera sensor honestly samsung did a fantastic job on the portrait and the night photos which google cant the pixels cameras are great tho but some of the samples are not equidistant compared to the galaxy s23 ultra or the iphone 15 pro max overall ill pick the galaxy anyday anywhere just for the reliability with no ai gimmicks
andrew Garfield!!!
Why would people want to push their videos on google's servers?
S23U has the worst JPEG output of any of the premium smartphones right now
Exactly, I don't know why people always say that Samsung is the best. The over-sharpaned look with VERY over-saturated colors just doesn't do it for me
@@NomanBeats1111 either because Samsung paid them or they don't know anything about cameras
What is that mean?
@@rinkashi101 it means its default camera shots are the worst in business right now (among premium smartphones)
FACTS 👏💯
You can force the 10x camera to be used in low light via camera assistant and have night 10x photos witch are miles better. Also sharpening MUST be turned down with the "medium" setting and then the pictures will look more natural and Pixel like. The poppy colors are "cured" with a -1 of manual exposure reduction.
Yea but he is just comparing the cameras with default settings, so I’m not sure if those are default settinga
I hear you but I feel Samsung is the type of OEM where you NEED to play around with the device and settings to unlock the full power of the phone. That's not for everyone. Pixels work right out of the box really well, but after that they don't do much and arent deep. @@That_Gingerbread
He did show that in the video, but although it was obviously better than 10X digital, it still was bad and worse than the Pixel. That 10X zoom is passed its sell-by date, and we can see why Samsung will copy Google in the S24U by killing the 10X and going with 5X.
But where is that setting in camera assistant?
@@andyH_England He actually didn't because in Pro mode you CAN'T use night mode, but forcing the lense you can. Difference with night mode is humongous!
Samsung was a pleasant surprise; it can compete with heavy artillery.
Your so handsome ❤idol
Kets buy a phone for night mode thats not going to get it until the pixel 9 cones out
Giving away iPhones while comparing 2 android devices. Makes total sense 👍

S23 ultra
the only thing i hate about samsung is how oversharpen the image on 12mp
1:38 It's really incredible how terrible that S23 Ultra photo is and yet when the S23 Ultra came out, everybody raved about how good the photos were. Has the S23 Ultra gotten worse or were people just showing the good photos from the S23U and leaving out the bad ones?
Damn, he fine
Why do the videos from both phones look so bad 🤔
I am surprised how samsung did oversharpening with noise reduction but i am not a fan of this oversharpening
Go to camera assistant and desable auto lens switch and u get 10x optical zoom night shot
I believe the background blur is adjustable and not fixed.
Couldn't agree with this more. I have the 7 Pro and the S23U. And although I prefer the S23's selfie camera, front camera portrait, and ultrawide video, I generally prefer using the Pixel overall because it's lighter and more ergonomically-friendly in the hand, in addition to doing many of the camera stuff extraordinarily well. I won't have a need for two phones once the Pixel steps it up in the selfie camera and ultrawide video department.
So finally which one is better for you brother?
Did pixels night mode became worse over the year? Cause this is bad compared to the current pixel im using..
He dosnt used the nightmode
How that pixel failed on your video
This is just nitpicking. Nothing else.
Great video but samsung rule
I wanna iPhone 15 😅😅😅
I hated most these images from both.
Can't go wrong with both phones for camera. I picked the s23 ultra just because overall package it is way better. But with s23 ultra, I just have to adjust some things. Like if the picture is too bright, I just use the slider to darken the exposure. If I like my pictures to be less sharpen, I used "medium" in the setting. A lot of adjustment can be made to achieve the desire picture. I return the pixel 8 pro because of how mediocre the battery is and the weaker modem. And yes it still gets hot.
S23 ultra is the good all rounder.. pixel time and time again has average battery life.. thats not acceptable for a flagship phone in 2023.
Plus as u mentioned, the modem.. sucks bad.
For the camera, if u know your way around the samsung camera, how to use and tweak it to your liking, it can even be better than the pixel images
Samsung has 200 megapixels, and it claims that details are missing because it's using a cropped photo at 12 megapixels. Does he think we are fools?
Bro that kurta or shirt whatever it is looks legit dope!
I'm asking you, which one is you like most?
overall? I think I'm leaning more towards the Pixel tbh. Although - I am a big fan of what Samsung's been doing over the past few years too. Superb camera experience and incredible performance, battery life and OS features.
@ZONEofTECH so what do you think I try this pixel or wait for the s24 ultra
@@ZONEofTECHdid you say 15 megapixel at the beginning?
@@eliasvaldes4596The S24 Ultra will be powered by Snapdragon 8Gen 3. This will be TWO leagues above the modified Exynos S2300 in the Pixel 8 Pro. BIG big difference. Rubbish to anyone who says there won't be. You may get the Pixel at a discount by the time the 24U is out though.
