Best game in the series
In my opinion it's perfect. I don't know what you consider "good" to be, but so many games have such a serious side to them. Especially when it comes to action games. To have a game like this, to where it's over the top, bizarre, funny is such a breath of fresh air from all the "hardcoreness" that so many games are bringing to the table. For me, this is one of my most anticipated games. It's unique, fresh, fun, and very well made.

I like that the fact that Saints Row is not focused on serious gaming because gaming is all about having fun and having fun with your friends. Saints Row games delivered that, looking forward to this game.

Finally somebody else who understands! It's really good that the Saints Row series has been changing up every one of their games, I love that. I get tired of companies such as the CoD franchise that release the same game every single year with a few slight changes, and I can already tell this game's going to be one of my favorites to come out this year.
I love how even though everyone hated part 3 for its craziness the company is doing what they want no matter what ppl say n i have some respect for that and to be honest am looking forward to the game /:)

Saints Row, the series who take awesome ridiculousness to a whole new level every fucking time xD
It's the best thing they've done. It gives the player much much more chaotic ability as anything that isn't real can just be made. Like a fucking giant laser gun to shoot random people with can just be dismissed as a "simulated" object. It makes it more imaginative and flexible because in games like Saints Row, you only want to have as much as chaos as possible and this route allows that. Maybe even allow us to drive spaceships across galaxies. Fucking sweet.
Just in case people who don't know who Benjamin King is, he was the leader of the Vice Kings in saints row 1.
I still cannot for the life of me grasp how the original Saints Row turned into this...

i like how the original Saints row character benjamin king is coming back for those of you who didnt play the first two SR's Benjamin king was one of the gang leaders who ended up helping the saints after his gang abandoned him.
Since 2, this series has been in the process of slowly and horribly dying.
if you have completed the third, you will know the saints have already earned respect of the entire nation, only aliens can pose a threat to them and so its there.

I haven't thought of it that way. I suppose that's a good way to look at it. It's just not the same as what we all thought it would be. Back when SR1 was new, noone pictured it would take a turn in this direction.
I did kind of want the game to take a turn Saint's Row 2 seriousness, I mean I love the comedic side, but I think Volition could have made a big impact on the player, they did in Saint's Row 1 and 2. Whatever anyway this game looks fun I really hope they give us online death matches again.
Comparing storyline between different games, or films, is a subjective matter. Some people may simply prefer the narrative of Saints Row better. The only way to objectively compare storyline is to check off plot points, but the fact that one game may contain more plot twists does not mean it is a better story, so it's not a useful thing to compare. Many old-school games had no storyline, but are still considered excellent games today. Tetris, anyone?
I want it all and I want i now! :D Saints Row 3 was better than any GTA I played before. Can't wait for this 1 !!!

I really miss how the first two games were... i mean i'll still play this because its fun but just not the same.
Personally I left the GTA series after Vice City because the humor just flat out died. I got into the series because it was funny and didn't take itself too seriously, and when Rockstar abandoned that, I abandoned them.
Saints Row on the other hand has the humor in spades, and has embraced that to only get more absurd and hilarious with each new game. I love that. So yeah, part three was ridiculous. By design. And I loved it for that. If I want a gritty crime drama I'll play LA Noire.
Benjamin gave all of his vehicles and his penthouse to the boss. How can i hate him?
It started out as a poor man's GTA and ended up becoming something original and fun. :V

GTA is a solid game, with a long, fun storyline, the open world "messing about" elements are till their too. it's like the perfect game. If you like GTA i'd recommend watching Rooster Teeth's GTA IV videos, they're funny

I love a game that does not take itself to seriously. When Saints Row realized what they would have had to do to compete with GTA IV they were like, f that shiz were going all kinds of ridiculousness AND ITS AWESOME...

If you look at the trailer for saints row 2 and then look at this one, if you didn't know any better you wouldn't know that they were the same game series

I mean hell the game becomes so unreal there's nothing to ripoff in the last two games

Go back and read up on what that DLC was supposed to be. Ben King coming back? Not DLC. You being President? Not DLC. All the attack powers you're getting? Not DLC. Dubstep gun? Not DLC. The ability to customize the look of your weapons? Not DL- you get the picture.
The only part of this game that came from the DLC are the super run/jump/glide powers (not the kinesis), and the alien attack story.
If you think this is "kiddie" or "over the top", yet you had no problem with SR2's Septic Avenger mini-game, giving Maero a tattoo with radioactive waste, or having a boss fight against a voodoo warlock, you might be an idiot. Or a hypocrite.

This game outright looks hilarious. I think people bitching about the approach they are going for don't understand the franchise. SR has always had a comedic tone to it. You guys always have GTA if you want nonsense gang violence. I can't wait to play this on my PS4.

This follows the "Save Shaundi" ending.
Nobody really cares if you play the game or not. It doesn't affect us, so it is unnecessary to comment about it. That is like talking to yourself and hoping that someone hears you.
Saints Row realized their games were over the top, so I guess they just thought "well it's already crazy, might as well go all out..."
i think it sold so well because part 2 was so well made so ppl thought hey part 3 is gonna be awesome so they pre ordered it.

This is the logical next step for Saint's Row. It keeps going further. Matrix Aliens. Hilarious. The more serious GTA got the more absurd SR went.

Saints Row 3 has multiple endings, it's not like they're going to for both endings, plus at least one of them has to be non-canon.
That's why we have GTA. I would much rather have two games that are polar opposites of each other that represent their genre well than have two somewhat crazy, yet still somewhat serious games that don't cover the full scope of what the genre could be.

Rockstar Gaming sued em over that in the second game and the Director of the third was trying to either ruin the game or make it so different that it can't be sued over.
