  • I take out the 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS on a freezing day, for a quick Test ride and first Ride review.
I couldn't feel my face but the "Big Z" felt amazing!
Many thanks go to www.completely... for letting me out on this beast.

On the 21st month with my café. Love it even more now than I did when I bought her January '23. 40+ yrs of riding too.

There's actually (2) rider modes, if we're being literal lol.. (1) full traction control AND wheelie control turned on, and then there's (1) mode dedicated for RAIN, and the last mode is all of those things turned OFF. So, three modes lol.

I enjoy watching reviews on this bike, it's very handsome. Brings back memories, first thing I noticed was the time when seats were actually comfortable. The styling, right down to the period accurate font on the badges, takes me back. Yesterday was the same temperature here in Colorado, full face helmet, chin skirt and a balaclava keeps the face warm 👍

thanks buddy, and thank you for subscribing. It's certainly a bike that makes you think about why you got onto biking in the first place. I really loved it.

Great review. I got mine in '21, the first new bike I'd purchased since my GPZ900R (A2) in '86! It really is something very special .. and it had to be to get me back on 2 wheels after a long time away. I used to say that as a man of a certain age it gives me everything I need. But now I feel like I want ... 'more' (don't we always?), and am considering trading it in for a Ninja 1000SX. I now live in Missouri where there are still wide open spaces, very few cops and speed cameras seemingly don't exist.

nicely done sir! I have the Z650RS as I dont need 900cc.... I think the 900 looks and sounds amazing and I wish Kawasaki had given the 650 the same treatment in the looks department. If I could have multiple bikes just like TMF that you mentioned, I would definitely have the 900, for sure

G'day mate. I bought the SE model for my 65th recently, and along with the RE 650 Interceptor, I can honestly say that I am Finally content with the bikes I have in my garage. I had the ZI in '76 (second hand), and fell in love with road bikes from that year on. Cannot recall how many bikes I have previously owned in the last 50 years, but now I have the best of both worlds at my finger tips. Sedate humming along on the RE, and somewhat more spirited "playtime" on the RS. First time on your channel brother, and I appreciate your style. Great review, pity it was so cold and you couldn't really open her up, but I believe you felt the absolutely honest enjoyment of riding this brilliant back to basics bike. Kudo's to Kwaka for bringing the true sense of controlling the bike with your wrist and brain, and not a bloody computer! Greetings from Oz, and subcribed. Cheers mate.

absolutely loved this bike, I also had the RE 650 interceptor but it was physically a bit small for me, this gives you the true feeling of motorcycling, brilliant bike( as I might have mentioned). thanks for watching 😁

Excellent first impressions ride. Interesting to get a review from the perspective of a taller rider. I'm a similar height and have found a few modern bikes too small, even those much loved by mainstream journo's.

    Ola! .......from New Mexico.
I now have a craving for the Z900, after seeing your's and related videos.
I appreciate the comments of a fellow "seasoned" rider. Your videography is quite engaging. 👍
Living on the high plains, with wide open and empty roads.......I cringe when I see the narrow and busy British roadways, with zero peripheral vision - buildings and thick vegetation right at the pavement's edge >!< I salute your risk-taking.
Please clarify: does one "bimble" before and after hitting the pub?....or bimble only after a pint or two?
    Ty, jd

Love the Z900. Am a older rider getting back into it after many years, so basically like a newer rider. At the moment riding a royal enfield interceptor. Do you think the Z900 is too much for a new rider.🏍👍

Wait - Did I just hear you say "this is like my Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor, but bigger."? 😂😂 Okay, yah lost me with *that* comparison. I mean, in so much as they're both motorcycles, I 'spouse you're right. But that's about where it ends too.

The fully exposed radiator ruins the bike for me. I loved the ride and the sound, but at the end of the day I have to also admire the look. Too many choices out there to settle.
