    I just did another one with my new glasses after cataract surgery. The colors are crisp, clear and clean! The frame and texture are especially nice with all the style settings. This pattern of making a frame is great!!!

      Thanks John, the Shapes in Photoshop Elements are frequently ignored by people since they don't know how to use the black shapes but if you put on some color and some effects they are very useful.

    Hi George, I just did the frame on the picture and is it ever good. In fact I posted a picture on facebook and had someone say that I was so talented with the pictures. I replied no I am not at all however I do have a great instructor and that is where I get my material from. I wanted to pass that on to you and thank you again...…..Eileen

      I make 5 personal calendars every year and there are many of your projects used on them and they really look forward to my calendars every year.

      You're welcome Rich, it is a quick little trick but a useful one as well. Plus some of the techniques can be easily adapted to other projects.

    Very nice, George. I really must do something like this just to give the photos a certain je ne sais quoi.

    Helpful but why not use a frame instead of shapes? Trying to figure this all out!

    • @HTGGeorge

      This video is on how to use shapes, I have other videos on how to use frames.

    also if i don't want that gradient, which I can't get to work anyway, how to get rid of that white background??!! Newbie here!

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  Год назад

      There is an eye icon on the left side of that layer, just click on that eye to show or hide a layer.

    • @cleocat562
      @cleocat562 Год назад

      When I save it as a jpeg so I can use it the white background is still there even though i hid the layer... Want to be able to upload to shutterfly for photo book...

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  Год назад

      @@cleocat562 The jpeg format doesn't allow transparency, you will need to save it as a png file with transparency selected.

    • @cleocat562
      @cleocat562 Год назад

      @@HTGGeorge Lordy! Mind telling me how I select transparency?! Saved as png still have background...

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  Год назад

      @@cleocat562 First double check that the background is still hidden, then use Save As to save to PNG, that should automatically save with transparency. If it doesn't then use Save for Web instead, that has a check box for transparency. Just open that, make sure that the transparency check box is checked, then click on Save.
