VoicePlay is the spooky movie you watch as a kid on the Disney Channel.
Bass Gang is the horror flick you watch as an adult that makes you keep a knife under your pillow.
Both are so talented and fun. It's amazing how they went in such different directions for the same song.
Kind of like VoicePlay is the R. L. Stine monster story vrs Bass Gang betting Steven King?
@@sjenny5891 - Nailed it! She has such a beautiful voice and they're both so well done. However, I'd let a child watch the VoicePlay version but I think the Bass Gang's rendition would be too scary.
It could've been creepier.
They could've done the whole thing in free time, drooling blood, with centipedes crawling around on their faces, and sometimes on their eyeballs.

I love Marwans unholy purple note. It's an attention grabber that never fails. If there's a level beneath bass, that note would definitely qualify for it.
I loved the way the song was mixed at the end to beautifully match the acoustics of stairwell that made this song work so well on Tik Tok. you should hear how scary she can make a lullaby sound.
Thank you for Not Comparing the two versions, ie which was better. Each group deserves to be recognized for their artistic vision. I like how some commenters said that VP version was the Disney spooky version & TBG version was the adult spooky version. And Lauren Paley has a Spooky Voice! Good reaction!

DJ imitating whisper Lauren (also whispering in Voiceplay version) freaks me out just as much as Lauren herself!
Your point was excellent. The two versions were for very different audiences. When I first saw that Lauren Paley was singing the same song with VoicePlay and The Bass Gang, I thought Oh damn, that's never going to work--but it does. The Bass Gang version is so much creepier.

Voiceplay's is a Disney scary movie. This one touched on several "classic" horror movie.
I follow her on til tol. Her voice is crazy good! What I would love to hear is her and Geoff duet a song.
Maybe we can support that thing to a level where it can actually happen, at least as a TikTok or a RUclips Shorts video.

I love the two very different takes on this .The humor in both is wonderfully creepy, this one reminds me of ventriloquists dummies or marionettes and those are CREEEPPY ! The TV part makes me think of the original Poltergeist movie...
The shots moving down the hallway always gives me vibes of "The Shining." Shivers.

I love this video, but unlike so many, i find it more comedy than creepy. My first response is laughter😂.
Last October was so fun. Voiceplay cover was released on the 7th and Bass Gang three weeks later on the 24th. I absolutely like both, but I do like VoicePlay's more theatrical version a tad more.

yes Voiceplay did a haunted mansion version (with characters from haunted mansion)
Voiceplay did there bass version same basic song.. but completely different
yes there needs to be no comparison they are both great (well all 3 are great but you have not watched her solo version yet)
no one is better no one is worse.. they are different styles and moods
