I'm really glad you touched on personal taste. You could have 100 amazing artists, tell them all to draw a tree, and they will all draw amazing trees, but each one would be different. That is why researching artists is so very important.
I am not a tattoo artist, but I would like to add that if you are giving someone a tattoo, you should be professional and make your clients comfortable. My first and only tattoos (that I love) were done by a guy who started asking me out before we had even met. I am not good at standing up for myself, and where I live it's really difficult to find an artist whom's work I love in the style I want (old school and neotraditional), so I did it anyways. Please keep it professional and don't do this to your clients when they reach to you for discussing your work. Sorry if my English is bad 😊
my tattooist has become my stalker,, she is an amazing artist but has fallen in love with me and wont leave me alone,, cheap tatts I get tho,,perks of being so bloody good looking !!! =P
Standing up for yourself?? Saying no is just no... u didn’t HAVE to get a tattoo lol. Why did u continue to date him and get tattood if you felt uncomfortable...
The best artists for me are the ones who go in and bust their ass every day. They get up and grind. They do everything possible to make themselves even better artists. In a tattoo, I love to see subtle variations in color giving depth to the piece.
the best tattooist,, will not be afraid to say,, no,, that's not going to translate well into a tattoo,,find another design !! tuff love,, but its well worth the effort,, not every awesome picture or painting,, can make an awesome tattoo,,
Im thinking about getting a bonsai trees tattooed on my left arm cuz i love that tree so much and Ive had that tree for over a decade now. You know what ive been thinking bout this for 2 years now Imma just get it done by this weekend.
For me a good tattoo is: having a good placement for the design (eg. when a design “follows” the shape of the shoulders or the muscles etc..), a reasonable design size for the area, that goes fluidly among other tattoos maybe...a readable design (so I can actually tell what the subject is at first glance, not after I look hard at the tattoo), precise outlines, and details like shading and colouring... mostly, I follow my taste... i’m aware of the artistic value of realistic tattoos or japanese but I just prefer old school, new school or neotraditional styles... bold outlines, quite colourful.. :) but of course everything is pretty much subjective. Some tattoos of mine are not artistically perfect: one of them, quite visible, on my chest, is a bit faded, the lines are not particularly accurate.. but I love it nonetheless for the style, the meaning, the memory of the experience overall... it can really depend on so many factors. Love your videos by the way, found your channel today and I’m on a full marathon :P
It’s so great to have a tattoo artist who comes with all of this and makes you feel comfortable too. I saved and waited until I knew what I wanted approximately and then I told my artist and gave her artistic freedom because I can trust that whatever she’ll do, it’s going to be brillant. That level of skill and trust is what makes it a complete joy to get a tattoo.
That necklace/chandelier-type one is so intricate and totally Lovely. Glad you still have some room for your child's father. That's truly classy and speaks volumes about you.
A great tattoo is one that looks great no mater what it is! I'm a tattoo artist but I have no tattoos!😝 I love the art and have been an artist all my life. I just don't want one on me. Not that I think anything is wrong with it.. I think a tattoo should have really dark and light values in them. Doesnt have to have colors, in fact I like black and white. When I tattoo someone I only go just deep enough for the color to stay. That way it heals faster and later the colors don't run to together as much. If someone wants something stupid I refuse and talk them into changing WITHOUT them noticing!😝 LINDA, YOU ARE AN AWESOME ARTIST!!!!! I LOVE YOUR WORK!!!!!!
One of the things I think about when judging if my own tattoos are good or bad is how I got on with the tattoo artist, for example my best tattoo in terms of artistic abilities isn't my favourite overall because the tattoo artist and I didn't really click and the conversation was awkward, I prefer to look at my tattoos and remember the awesome banter the tattoo artist and I had and It makes me happy to know I have artwork on me from someone who I got along with and I think is a really cool person.
Same. My last tattoo hurt so bad, I hated my experience with that artist. I love her style, she’s a really great artist, but I think her skills were not on point.
I feel completely the same. When I got my back piece, the experience with the tattoo artist was so bad, that I have regretted my tattoo every single day and I can't wait for the day when I will finally have covered it up. The guy didn't give a damn about what I wanted and how I felt about it. He just did his job. The tattoo was well done technique-wise - but motive itself turned out to be pretty bad and I still feel the "bad karma" of that guy. Should have never gotten it. So my advice - check out your artist and only get tattooed when you get along with your artist as a person.
Eilidh Arnold that seems like the dumbest way ever to judge your tattoos by. All that should matter is if it’s good work or not. The conversation you have with them is just an experience of a couple hours but a good tattoo is for life. I don’t give a shit if I’d like to hang out with my artist outside of the tattoo or not. I don’t see how that matters at all. The tattoo should have meaning because of what it is that you got tattooed not because of how much you personally like the person that did it. And also in response to the other person here, if you don’t feel like your artist cares about you or what you want then you shouldn’t have been getting work done by them in the first place. It’s up to you to make sure that your artist is going to be a person who does their job properly. But yeah I get it that it’s all up to you and it’s just a matter of personal opinion but judging your tattoos only on whether or not you personally got along with the artist that did them just seems like the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. My tattoos have meaning because I planned them out ahead of time and the specific artwork that went into them or just because I like the way they look. How I feel about the personality of the artist that did them means nothing in the long run.
@@Nik.No.Kbruv,, let me explain for you,, a true artist,,does their best work,, when they are happy and into it,, whe n you have a great bond with your tattooist,, their work becomes much better,, cus they care more about it and you,,and want you to get the best ink possible,,if they don't give a shit about you,,why would they care about your tattoo,, they will just do it and forget it,, my artist cant stop staring at my ink,,even thoi she did most of it,, its eye catching and stunning,, and I have her to thankl,l cus it even catches her eye!!! make sense?
I really appreciate your honesty. Admitting that there are those better than you that have been tattooing for a shorter time frame is so nice to hear. I’ve met many artists who insist there is no one better than them and I personally believe that EVERYONE can learn and grow no matter where they are in life.
My favorite tattoos were done in prison with a guitar string and a hair clipper motor...entire chest piece done by a friend who is back on the street running his shop again. I've not done a lot of ink for others, mainly myself...but I think the definition of a good tattoo comes down to the way in which the recipient views the art, what it means to them. As the artist you may do what you feel to be a perfect job, but if it makes your canvas feel like it's not representative of what they wanted or envisioned, then your work has fallen short. I've always used different mediums to produce art. I'm a journeyman painter, I build custom furniture, I am a welder, electrician, video podcast host, musician, mechanic, and many other things. I'm an ex-con, snowboarder, amateur paleontologist, dirt biker, writer, voice over actor, and ultimately a lover of the human condition, but what I love is the art of the tattoo...it's always intrigued me. I've fallen asleep in the middle of an 8 hour piece because I love being tattooed. However, every bit of ink on me has very deep meaning. I will not put any ink on anybody if they cannot explain what it means to them and then allow me to draw my own vision for them...it's not about my vision for me, it's about my vision for them, just as the tattoos I've put on myself in my own studio. There's a story behind all 300 plus that I wear....some are bad, just like the one you showed, but I've never erased or covered a thing. I have stayed away from my face and neck because I am a mama's boy who isn't afraid to admit that and my mom has asked to please never tattoo my face or neck. Every other bit is covered. From the smallest to largest there is meaning, so in my mind that is what makes a good tattoo...meaning. Otherwise why do we do it? We get tattoos and we tattoo because there is ultimately meaning in the art, whether you're the recipient or the artist. Just my opinion, I may be right or wrong, but for me personally, unless I get a back story regarding the ink, I won't do it. As an artist I have to have the meaning and that forms a connection between myself and the person on the other end of the needle. Without that connection, there's nothing there for me. It isn't about making money, it's about meaning, and giving someone the happiness of seeing their vision manifest itself on their own canvas...something they can tell a story about. Awesome video. You have a new subscriber. Sorry for writing a novel, but I have the gift of gab and am descriptive to a fault. Sorry, not sorry. Keep up the great work! It would be a privilege to one day have you transfer your art onto me...I'm about out of real estate, however! Regards, Mike
My first tattoo, I did my research. I looked at my artist. He had awesome work, he was reputable, and he still gave me a horrible tattoo. I got it matching with my now fiance, and I think he just didn't care. Probably figured I would cover it anyways.. Makes me sad.
I love seeing a beautiful strong confident woman tattooed AND being a tattooer/Tattoo Artist. You're really amazing, your channel. Love that you're a LADY BOSS. I will be watching all your videos now... Thanks for putting good content out there..
I think good tattoos look like a well executed oil painting, a solid color tattoo with depth, black work with dots, sketch style, black work with depth, realism, optical illusions, etc. Just my taste. 😉🖤 Thank you for this, Linda! Much love! ⚜️🖤⚜️
Each of my tats have a deep personal meaning to me. They represent my life, my accomplishments, my heritage (Norse, Celt, and Native American). To me, they are not simply decorations, but an outward representation of who I am. I don't think there's anything wrong with having tats that are simply beautiful pieces of art; I've seen some that were so intricate that they were breathtaking, but my tats are not that type
I'm trying to make mine intricate. I'm trying to mix my religion and my heritage together in a sleeve. (Christianity & Norse) and its honestly so hard trying to think of ways I can get it to express me without going to something you see hundreds of other people with the same ink
You are an absolutely strikingly beautiful woman but there’s one thing about you that I really like, your eyebrows. Those are amazing looking. That may sound weird to some people but I just think that great eyebrows add so much to a beautiful face whether a woman or man.
I am glad that this video, and all your other videos are out there. I watch almost all of them, they are very educational, and I like to plan and know everything before doing something so important on my body. I have wanted a tattoo for more than 15 years now, but I was not dumb enough to get one just because I turned 18, I wanted it to mean something more. I still haven't gotten a tattoo, and I am 33. I am also an uncontrolled epileptic, so pain is nothing to me, but I have good days and bad days, I cannot predict when I will have seizures, even though it is almost every day, I have been fighting my very bad odds of survival for many years now. I was given 6 months, because of how badly my spine is damaged because of my seizures. So, I have felt kind of like a broken, put back together machine, for many years now. I keep putting my limbs back in place etc, you don't need the details, anyway, I feel a connection with Vi's tattoo because she feels like a machine. Although mine is broken down and put back together over and over. What I would love to have is a brass hammered down looking steam machine. I have been looking for a great artists to do this work. Of course, tattooes are a luxury and not something I take for granted. Otherwise I would already have a tattoo. And probably regret it. Anyhow, the fact that I keep surviving, fight my seizures every day. Makes me feel more and more like a messed up brass steam machine.
Respect for saying the reason why you haven’t removed or covered up the tattoo your ex did was bc he’s the father of your child and that still means something to you Incredibly mature
I'm a self learner /aprentance and what I consider a good tattoo is something that has taken a good chunk of time to do , a tattoo that has perfections and tattoos that have flaws because it is art . I can say with tattooing myself my worst tattoos are the ones that I did (on myself ) when I first started learning and my best tattoo is the one I put the most work into .
I really like the under bust tattoo you have, I have been thinking of getting one like that in that shape. I’d really like to find an artist that I love (and definitely will now) to do it for me to make it look really nice.
I think its subjective. I love all of my tattoos. I dont want any of them covered up, redone or redesigned. Granted, I dont have any garbage (IMO) . I like your calm demeanor. It makes me want to watch more
Sharp lines, no mushy anywhere, good colors and shadowing and of course right placement, but yeah what do i know.. i only have 1 tattoo that was took like 20y ago, it still is actually holding it's own :)
Hi! I just stumbled across your channel and I am so thankful. I love art and I feel it gives me life. I have tried all different kinds of painting styles and stuff like that but they always end up so weird and “ too in the frame” I have always felt like every line has to be perfect etc and I have been trying to figure out my style or what I want to do in life and nothing has seemed to work that well but now after watching some of your vids I am thinking that maybe this might be something for me and I will definitely look more into it. Funfact once a tattoo artist bought my painting for his shop because he thought that my “handwriting”was special. Never thought much of it but yea. Cool channel👍🏽
Got my first tattoo and it meant the world to me. It was a representation of what keeps me going in life. Spent weeks researching artists. The artist that I picked completely demolished my arm. I have never been so disappointed and honestly I really don’t know how to move forward with this. What am I supposed to do? It’s not good! I don’t think I ever want to get a tattoo again. I put so much effort in it. I made my own design and he fucked up the line work so bad. He didn’t even have to work to design something! How the fuck? I’m so fucking upset about it
When you feel ready, I'd go to another reputable shop and ask if there is any way to salvage the elements that meant the most to you. I'm so sorry this happened 😢
I love tattoos that look exactly like a picture, just beautiful portraits or flowers or animals. Im in love with art and I really am in shock when I see something like that. Im definitely getting something on my body soon
A good tattoo for me is one that I can appreciate the art work and the skill and how cleaver or realistic or cartooney it is... A bad tattoo for me is one where they haven't succeeded in doing what was intented or you can make out what it is supposed to be...
A good tattoo is whatever you think is. Period. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. Not to mention that in all my 35 years as a tattooer I haven't seen a modern tattoo(the artist using a machine to paint)hold up for more than 6 months. There is art, there is tattoo art...yuk...then there is what I cherish, THE ART OF TATTOO. You know what I mean. Tattoo is much more than art, it's a vocation, a skill, a craft. I once apprenticed a young ladie who didn't draw all that well but she could tattoo like the best of em. She worked mainly as our flash/walk in artist. Not a terribly good artist but she mastered the craft of Tattoo.
I say to me what makes a good tattoo is one of your points. Personal oppinion. The simplest of things can mean the world to someone. So if you just enjoy what you do have on your body then its good.
I think the tattoo your ex did is actually quite good - it has a quirky look to it. I love, the colours, the simplicity and the style. worst ones are typos - 'Hells angles' and the like, usually done in bold script so they harder to cover or remove (that one being a surprisingly common repeated mistake)
What I like Is something that’s meaningful to you. I’ve only started tattooing about a month ago but the tattoos I’ve done on myself have some meaning no matter how bad they looks. Would I give something that bad to someone hell no it’s practice. But every bit of practice and experience means something. You learn from fools and sages. It doesn’t matter what they say as long as you can absorb the information and do it your own way a path is never wrong
At the end of the day, in my opinion, the traditional tattoos are the best. They should be BOLD, clean, and only a couple colors. They aren't too busy and you can see them and tell what they are across the room. The BOLD clean flawless line work alone, takes skill. Also I like the black pepper shading technique. It makes the colors pop!!
Sometimes I like shirt little homemade tattoos. The one ur ex did is cute to me. If someone like the tattoo for real. I think it’s good art. Makes someone happy.
Yeah most people have bad taste or never really see how awesome a tattoo can be. That was my problem, I actually thought the artist were good at the time. After I seen magazines and Instagram pages i know better
Yes^^^ I agree. I see so many people with awful tattoos I often think they must never have seen a good tattoo, otherwise they'd have more good ones and less bad ones.
Defenetly depends on the taste for art , not everyone has the same taste.. in the end it's PERSONALITY AND IDENTIFICATION WITH THE TATTOO .thanks for the addvise
I think what makes a good tattoo is first of all: the design. if it is done properly but the illustration looks like shit, no one will think "This tattoo is not really cool but it is so solid and so well done!" Als placement, colors and size are crucial. Might be a good design, but take not appealing colors, or make it too dark, too small,... chances, that it looks bad are very high. So many people have tattoos, that I think are bad, but they still like it. Sure there are people who regret their tattoos, but it's their own fault, if they have a bad one. They chose a bad tattooer, thought about the tattoo design too short and now they don't like it anymore or other circumstances lead to a bad tattoo.
Viktoria Illich there's an artist that worked with one of my co-workers. Her tattoos are good (great line work, use of color and shading...) but the designs are ABSOLUTELY horrendous. I mean the faces look distorted. The hands are odd looking and bodies are not proportioned.
I love both your sternum and chest tattoo. The pirate would be so cool to see at the Renaissance festivals. I hope you attend. Lots of beautiful art there.
I know many tattooers that finished apprenticeships and years down the line are still horrible. I know tattooers that finished art school and learned to tattoo on their own and are great tattooers. PS. Don't start tattooing unless you went through an apprenticeship
Wrong...soo wrong. You don't need an apprenticeship to be a good artist just education and persistence and drive to succeed though practice and more education ..your so fucking wrong
I personally prefer Black & Grey Realism tattoos, they're more of my taste and look better in my personal opinion. Color tattoos also tend to fade earlier than Black & Grey ones so thats another plus for Black & Grey.
I am getting my first tattoo this Friday (16th nov ‘18) and I am really looking forward to it. I stumbled on your channel when doing some more research on tattoos ( I like finding out about the history of tattoos). Really like your videos.
The very last tattoo that you showed by Asin looks AMAZING! I am a body piercier and a tattoo artist for almost 20+ years. Used to own my own shop called the The Forbidden Garden. I have 62 tattoos on me and 9 piercings. Something along that lines would be AWESOME!🤘🏻
Hello, my name is Liag. I think that what you want as a tattoo becomes art, I think it is difficult to judge a tattoo because there are so many people who think differently & you see pictures (art in different ways). I like black & gray the best as tattoos, I like tribals I just can't get enough of them.
A lot of times, people who want tattoos don't realize they're investing in the artist as well as the tattoo. If you hear a song you really like and want to buy the album, you're really investing into the artist or band who wrote the music because something drew you to it and it spoke to you. Art does the same as music only with its visualization instead of sound. When you find a style that you like and an artist that has spent years honing their craft and trying to perfect it as much as possible and understands depth, style, but also feeling and comprehension. Music and Art isn't just about what looks and sounds good, it should invoke a depth of feeling. If you find a concept, theme, and style you want and an excellent tattoo artist who understands these things your money will probably be well spent and you'll be left with a piece of art you will treasure for forever. I may not have any tattoos but as someone who draws and plays guitar a lot and has debated getting a tattoo or two for years I definitely feel that you should approach getting a tattoo with an artist's mindset, not a customer only mindset. Otherwise you'll only think of it as money wasted, rather than art and meaning for life.
Hello Linda very educational thanks ...my tattoo artist Martin is full of talent he's so amazing he draw's a lot during his free time , has a sure hand, and with this special kind of humour that shows in his art plus he gets me and my bold colors.... that's why i love his work...
I WOULD SAY THAT A GOOD TATTOO IS A BASIC TWO DIMENSIONAL TOON BECAUSE IT IS REALLY THE TYPE OF technique that you aply that brings out the manuscripts of tattoos and I say this because there are so many of kind modern or tribal or religious it is the tattoo that really resonates the time frame
This is a great, truthful and beautiful vid sweetheart! You are wonderful, sincere and loving-so kind and it’s refreshing and ps u look damn cute in ur glasses!
I love a coloured sleeve, but not the ones where the colour is super aggressive in your face if you get me. I like when it just sort of blends in with the skin, it looks like it belongs there, and the colours are a bit more low key and "natural". Hard to explain and I rarely see tattoos like that, in fact I've only ever seen one picture where I went like yup that's the one, that one right there is absolutely perfect and I'd get that tattooed on my body right this instant if I could.
Taste is a big factor & the thing is it changes over the years… Had my 1st when I was 18 & then a couple of years later had another & a few more years later a couple more. So I have a few but it’s been like 20 years since I got my last. Looking at them now can’t say I’m super excited about them 😂 Not that I don’t like them but I’m kinda jealous of other’s tattoos that are more elaborate than the ones I have that look somewhat “flat”…
I've wanted to be a tatoo artist for a long time but I was never gifted in drawing :(. I love your channel! I love your favorite tattoo that you showed. Those jewels pop so much they almost look real she did a very good job.
Don't judge a tattoo without knowing the reason why it is there. And yes, some are really poor work. But not everyone has the money for a great artist, but also wants to express themselves. Be kind.
Honestly I have appreciation for all tattoos so I can look at tattoos on other people and still think it’s beautiful I think that as long as it’s a good technical tattoo meaning line work shading etc. then it’s a good tattoo in my eyes
I love the professionalism that you demonstrate on your videos and i admire your confidence as well. I can learn a lot from you in regards to my channel...thank you!
To each their own I have 3 tattoos and I personally think that's enough too much ink can make you fall into a massive regretful phase and you definitely don't want that the artists I go to is very good at them two half sleeves on my arm and 1 on my leg plus I can cover mine for jobs but honestly I like to show mine if it's a hot day you can't cover them I'm not embarrassed it's just art on the skin to me im all for tattoos aslong as it makes one happy and do their own thing in life to me thats awesome im glad I don't have to live as a slave 🙂
Why do all of the bad tattoos look like someone got it done in a person's house?? Even my apprentice tattoos aren't THAT terrible 😬😬😬 I think another point to add is it will be a good tattoo if it's what THAT person specializes in. Or that's something they've worked on a lot to where it's easy for them. For example, I'm not good at realism. So a person looking to get a photo realistic portrait or flower won't look good if someone who had at least 3+ years of experience. Just like line work for a realism tattoo artist might not be good if they haven't practiced that...although I don't know why they wouldn't because that's what I learned in the first several months of my apprenticeship
well tattooing never used to be a real job,,a profession,, it was mainly bikies in dingy dirty shops,, slinging ink for pennys,,its slowly became a proper industry,, proffesion,, where you can have a good cAreer in and a future,, well paid,, good working environment,, and from my experiences,, not many ppl get treated with as much respect as a good tattoo artist is =)
I think a few of my tattoos could be a lot better technically, but I like all my tattoos (well all except one, and that one's not really that bad in the scheme of things) and think they're pretty cool for the most part :-)
I really love seeing portrait tattoos but I'm scared to get a portrait myself. I think that they are extremely beautiful however I don't know about putting another person face on my skin that just seems weird.
I remember seeing a sign in a tattoo shop that said “Good tattoos aren’t cheap, and cheap tattoos aren’t good”
Drew Jantz a shop near me says "painless tattoos don't exist."
Bethany Francia that’s good. I like that. Lol after reading that I stopped and though about when I was getting all my tattoos lol.
I remember seeing the same sign in a shop where their tattoos... Well let's say I wouldn't get a tattoo there if they gave me money
Very true
Truer truth has never been truthed.
I loved the hold me closer giant lizard tattoo thank you very much
CALI FW It was technically not that good but so funny I dont mind
I was thinking the same thing.
was about to say this haha, it's dope
It was so beautiful
Same.
I'm really glad you touched on personal taste. You could have 100 amazing artists, tell them all to draw a tree, and they will all draw amazing trees, but each one would be different. That is why researching artists is so very important.
Ok but the one at 1:28 that says "hold me close giant lizard" is so hilarious.
Selina Lmao I bet that one was on a dare
If you have to decide between getting a tattoo and paying the bills or feeding your kids - then don't get a tattoo.
then don't have kids. plain and simple
Robert Riemer words of wisdom
As earlier suggested, don't get kids in the first place if you struggle feeding them.
MrVindictus1 I second, third and fourth that sentiment.
good advice
I kind of love that ‘hold me closer giant lizard’ one in a weird way
It's because girls like hugs and shit. There are more commenting this too
My favorite tattoos are the ones that make me smile in the morning when I look at them.
Camii Vaccaro you're English is great :)
my tattooist has become my stalker,, she is an amazing artist but has fallen in love with me and wont leave me alone,, cheap tatts I get tho,,perks of being so bloody good looking !!! =P
Standing up for yourself?? Saying no is just no... u didn’t HAVE to get a tattoo lol. Why did u continue to date him and get tattood if you felt uncomfortable...
To add to 2.
Picasso once said 'everyone is born as an artist. The real talent is to remain an artist while you grow up...'
The best artists for me are the ones who go in and bust their ass every day. They get up and grind. They do everything possible to make themselves even better artists.
In a tattoo, I love to see subtle variations in color giving depth to the piece.
Like Niko
the best tattooist,, will not be afraid to say,, no,, that's not going to translate well into a tattoo,,find another design !! tuff love,, but its well worth the effort,, not every awesome picture or painting,, can make an awesome tattoo,,
your “best tattoo” is absolutely gorgeous! that artist is very talented.
Im thinking about getting a bonsai trees tattooed on my left arm cuz i love that tree so much and Ive had that tree for over a decade now.

My little brother is 7 and his drawings are amazing, he’s just born with natural talent
Somebody better nurture that fucking talent and not let it go to waste. I know all too well about un realized potential 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Perhaps, he could design sleeves, within clothing🤔
I've seen some, WHICH uses stocking material

One of the things I think about when judging if my own tattoos are good or bad is how I got on with the tattoo artist, for example my best tattoo in terms of artistic abilities isn't my favourite overall because the tattoo artist and I didn't really click and the conversation was awkward, I prefer to look at my tattoos and remember the awesome banter the tattoo artist and I had and It makes me happy to know I have artwork on me from someone who I got along with and I think is a really cool person.
good to know. thanks :)
Originality, talent, skills, sterile environment, passion.
Thank you Linda appreciate your talent and all of the above mentioned in your video.
I love seeing a beautiful strong confident woman tattooed AND being a tattooer/Tattoo Artist. You're really amazing, your channel. Love that you're a LADY BOSS. I will be watching all your videos now... Thanks for putting good content out there..
For me is the uniqueness the contrast the rythm of the strokes and the cleanliness of the lines...
I’m right in the middle of your video and I’m in love the way you talk. Powerful and straight🙌🏽
i want the "hold me closer giant lizard" tattoo i might get a similar one when im older
I think good tattoos look like a well executed oil painting, a solid color tattoo with depth, black work with dots, sketch style, black work with depth, realism, optical illusions, etc. Just my taste. 😉🖤 Thank you for this, Linda! Much love!
⚜️🖤⚜️
Your favourite tattoo is one of the most gorgeous tattoo I have ever seen. It simply scintillates! The artist is a complete Master of Tattoo Artists.
Indeed. I like honoring the past. Like the 2 Indians who led the trail of tears.
You are an absolutely strikingly beautiful woman but there’s one thing about you that I really like, your eyebrows. Those are amazing looking. That may sound weird to some people but I just think that great eyebrows add so much to a beautiful face whether a woman or man.
Shut your weird ass up u sound like a real perv
Makes me feel more and more like a messed up brass steam machine.
love you're channel. any way we can submit our own tattoos and you do a video criticising or applauding our tattoos?
Respect for saying the reason why you haven’t removed or covered up the tattoo your ex did was bc he’s the father of your child and that still means something to you
Incredibly mature
I'm a self learner /aprentance and what I consider a good tattoo is something that has taken a good chunk of time to do , a tattoo that has perfections and tattoos that have flaws because it is art . I can say with tattooing myself my worst tattoos are the ones that I did (on myself ) when I first started learning and my best tattoo is the one I put the most work into .
I really like the under bust tattoo you have, I have been thinking of getting one like that in that shape. I’d really like to find an artist that I love (and definitely will now) to do it for me to make it look really nice.
who else when she was talking and showing the bad tattoos was just looking at the bad tattoos and not listening at all
You look so strikingly beautiful in this video!
I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK AND ARE ELECTRIC LINDA SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU TALK ABOUT GREAT SUBJECTS SO PLEASE KEEP MAKING GREAT VIDEOS
I think its subjective.
I love all of my tattoos.
I dont want any of them covered up, redone or redesigned.
Granted, I dont have any garbage (IMO) . I like your calm demeanor. It makes me want to watch more
Your "worst tattoo" is actually nice in a bad sorta way. It's a keeper.
Today I just found your channel yeaaaa I am super happy and I will watching all.. 😍
Sharp lines, no mushy anywhere, good colors and shadowing and of course right placement, but yeah what do i know.. i only have 1 tattoo that was took like 20y ago, it still is actually holding it's own :)
alots changed in 20 years mate,, we aint in Kansas anymore toto =)
Watercolor with butterflies 🦋 are absolutely beautiful.
Awesome video thank you for the advice 😊
Really good tattoo= you just can't seem to stop looking at it!
For me, a really good tattoo is when, it compliments the part of the body it is tattood on but is also creative and unique.
I agree- art is very subjective. Sometimes on Inkmaster I don't agree with the judges.
I didn’t think my first tattoo was a bad tattoo. Until I got other tattoos from other artists.
Defenetly depends on the taste for art , not everyone has the same taste.. in the end it's PERSONALITY AND IDENTIFICATION WITH THE TATTOO .thanks for the addvise
I love her, her advice is so good and her videos are pretty cool
Wow that tat on the front of your torso is amazing and looks like it complements your body extremely well..
I think what makes a good tattoo is first of all: the design. if it is done properly but the illustration looks like shit, no one will think "This tattoo is not really cool but it is so solid and so well done!"
Als placement, colors and size are crucial.
Love these uploads thanks ❤️
I am getting my first tattoo this Friday (16th nov ‘18) and I am really looking forward to it. I stumbled on your channel when doing some more research on tattoos ( I like finding out about the history of tattoos). Really like your videos.
how much did you cry? =P
A good tattoo is if you love it in my opinion because their are different styles
Uh i like ur voice and how you talk and ur aura seems very nice
'no pen no gain' dead xD
Tattoos with a clear focal point 🖤
Taste is a big factor & the thing is it changes over the years…
Had my 1st when I was 18 & then a couple of years later had another & a few more years later a couple more.
So I have a few but it’s been like 20 years since I got my last.
Looking at them now can’t say I’m super excited about them 😂
Not that I don’t like them but I’m kinda jealous of other’s tattoos that are more elaborate than the ones I have that look somewhat “flat”…
Most beautiful tattoo artist I've ever seen
I thought u were going to show us the worst tattoo u ever did and the best that u ever did.... I love your favorite piece its beautiful
I love your advices they are really good and on point! Also I'm in love with the backround song. In love with a ghost. Nice touch there ❤️
Is it safe to spray Lysol disinfectant in the room. while getting a tattoo done .
No Pen...No Gain....OMG that is so good.
Who is anyone to judge someone
I love the professionalism that you demonstrate on your videos and i admire your confidence as well. I can learn a lot from you in regards to my channel...thank you!
I personally think if the person getting the tattoo is happy with it, then it's a good tattoo. regardless of how well it's done
Maybe I'm basic but I really enjoy floral sleeves.
I got up and left in the middle of a tattoo because I saw the line work go south
⚡️⚡️⚡️
ElectricLinda, well presented as Usual 👍👌😀
Why do all of the bad tattoos look like someone got it done in a person's house?? Even my apprentice tattoos aren't THAT terrible 😬😬😬
I think another point to add is it will be a good tattoo if it's what THAT person specializes in.
Hey I cant wait till I get mine I for mothers day so excited.
Good tattoos for me are sketchy or heavy brush-stroke, messy, with or without color. With color, I'm a fan of bright, strong colors.
ok tbh the "hold me closer giant lizard" tattoo is fucking sick XDD i want it too someday
I really love seeing portrait tattoos but I'm scared to get a portrait myself. I think that they are extremely beautiful however I don't know about putting another person face on my skin that just seems weird.
Another thing that helps is when tattoos are designed to flatter the person wearing them
