- Here's Marilyn singing the Fifth Dimension's Up, Up and Away with co-host Rex Smith on Solid Gold in the mid-80's. I have lots of videos to share of Marilyn McCoo singing covers, duets and more from her Solid Gold years. Hope my fellow McCoo fans enjoy them. Arranged and produced by Solid Gold's musical director, Michael Miller.

Great. This is when entertainment was entertaining not like today
Damn good rendition. McCoo is one of the all-time greats, and Rex's clear tenor fits in that song very well ... AND he sings a mean harmony with her. Nice job!
Loved Loved Thanks
Absolutely!!! Wasn´t he part of the teen-pop-scene in the late 70´s and early 80´s??
He looked great in those tight black leeather pants!!!
Would have been interesting to see a contest to Rex vs teen idol Shaun Cassidy in tight leather pants.... just for the entertainment.
Who would have to be the winner????
great rex smith
Well, I think they both do a great job here.
Wonderful!
Always liked Rex in leather pants.
Rex looks HOT in those tight leather pants !!!!!!
I agree!
Ah, you're going hard on him. His style is sappy love songs.
I think it is disgusting that legit actors have limited work because of reality shows. I agree with you!
rex ain't no andy still 3vay
I don't really like Marilyn McCoo, the only reason that I watched this was to see Rex Smith. But I can't believe this is the same guy that played Michael Skye in Sooner or Later. He really let his fame go to his head. And why did he cut his hair??????????????
This arrangement is just dreadfully "80s"--and Marilyn didn't need any co-hosts. Smith moves like some rejected Chippendale dancer....
