It's always a bit of a silly time as I'll style each item for you, successfully or... less successfully. All of these items were from local Goodwills. I definitely picked out some riskier bets in between the tried and true classics. Check out my risks! Ha! What a haul...

Omg you just gave me tons of ideas on how to hide my curves in a fun way I have several pieces of clothes similar to yours and I never wear them but now I think I’m going to play dress up and try different styles to see what works for me thank you

I had to google for what a moo moo (muu muu) dress is, and it is a comfortable Hawaiian dress for pregnant woman. How fascinating! In India all mothers have a dozen "nighties". (Nighty). My mum has atleast 30 pure cotton/linen with Indian hand block prints, batik and/or Shibori design.
As weird as it looks typed out, I'd love to see your mom's nighties!
That weird brown dress - cut off those sleeves and it would be a lovely brown slip dress. It was a pretty color for you and the main dress looked nice. Then just use those sleeves as leg warmers or boot cut socks in the winter!
That black sequined cocktail dress was gorgeous. Can’t believe it was only $12.
I love your artsy, fun style. I don’t think I could do most of the outfits you do - it’s harder on a larger plus size body like mine. But while I’m trying to go for more classic and timeless pieces I like being inspired with still adding some artsy and fun pieces. My problem in the past has been TOO many artsy funky things so I ended up looking either like a child or like a clown or like I was older and trying to dress younger. Trying to maybe just do some funky scarves or a fun kimono over more plain items so I can have core pieces and have fun with accessorizing.
I tend to go overboard myself but I think overboard is better than underboard and that's not a word!
I got all excited when I saw you play with your scarves. I ran upstairs and wrapped them around my neck totally forgetting my face is round. I looked like a fancy Tootsie Roll Pop. I have to use them to create a v neck. But it was fun to try!

Cut the sleaves off a brown Zara dress. Color is made for you.
I was thinking the same! The colour makes her glow and the sleeves can be used for another outfit or a DIY.
Yes! Brown is always my color. It sounds so boring but it really is a winner for me. Those sleeves need to go!

the vintage dress is pretty cute
I didn't think I could ever like it but without the shoulder pads it was actually great! Weird how that one thing was changing the shape so much.
That was fun! Love how you try lots of different options. I think the snug skirt with the large bottom flair is maybe 1940s style. The copper color dress with the bare shoulder knit sleeves would maybe look good with a wrap loosely around the shoulders. The dress part was rather nice.
On the weird dress, cut off the sweater sleeves. Then it’s great!

Ha! There's a lot to tackle here! I ON PURPOSE didn't bring out my trusty wide black belt. 😆 Thank you, I am starting to figure out how to style this bob! "The club" is a place I do not go. Lol! The sequin dress was so pretty! I know that red is not good because every time I put it on, I look red. That can't be good. I do like the blouse itself and the cut of it so I've been keeping it around but yeah I should probably replace it.

Most things can be washed, maybe not dried, but I actually never dry clean anything.

QUESTION: Do you dry clean your thrift clothes? Or, hand wash? Or washing machine? You can stuff a bra with the old shoulder pads 😆
Wait, this is 3 questions and a tip! 😄 I don't dry clean anything. Everything gets washed, but if it's delicate like the sequin dress it will get dunked in a sink of warm soapy water, then rinsed and hung to dry. As for that shoulder pad tip, if you stuffed your bra with these giant shoulder pads, you would have very strange and angular bazongas!
I think that you could wear a cardboard box, and still look fabulous. Just be sure to belt it!
If you liked it then you shoulda put a belt on it!
Thrifts with shoulder pads...why not just take them out? They are usually just tacked in at three points. Actually, now in 2024, it's getting hard to find those old dresses from the '80s!

Do you mean the motorcycle looking boots? I have worn them so much the brand tag on the inside is almost completely worn down. All I can make out is #########michael and Made in Portugal!
