Lol girl,,, NEW YORK CITY??? And the reason, and I quote you, "HeHeHe, Well, because I want to!". You are one very awesome, very BOLD woman Rowan. I have much admiration for you. I have been to NYC many times, first fir work, I would fly there from Houston, hire a chauffeur ((all paid for by the company I worked for) then, near my retirement I found a girlfriend there and would fly there to see her. But I never drive there. My company transferred me to England the last 3 years of my career and I did drive in London, which is 2 or 3 times bigger than NYC. And I was driving on the wrong side of the road, with the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car - and I did it without running in to a single person. You rock!!!
So, (still binging), my brother, back around 1986, his girlfriend breaks up with him. He gets upset. Takes our (shared) Audi Fox and drives to NYC. Sleeps in the car on the streets. I think he’s nuts, but secretly I’ve always been envious he had the guts to do something so crazy. And I seriously admire you! Damn, girl - you’re truly brave to do so much alone. I’m really enjoying tagging along though;)
Funny, that's what I'm concerned about..not so much safety ( although that's what I should be worried about) just the alone thing 😕, if I see something amazing..who can I turn to and say...wow you see that! Of look pretty crazy 😧😧
We have no traffic lights in my town, just stop signs. This video of NYC traffic and skyscrapers is freaking me out. I would not be able to sleep anywhere near there. Country hillbilly here.
I love watching you on your videos. You are so adventurous. I am too chicken to do anything solo. You look like you have so much fun. Come to Utah and I will adopt you as a daughter. Thanks for bringing cheer to my days. Love you. Robyn from Utah ❤❤❤
Love seeing you in my old stomping grounds. NYC does not believe in free bathrooms lol. I knew you were going to have to buy something in order to pee, which defeats the purpose lol. Your walk brought back so many memories. Stay safe out there and keep having fun adventures!
Just wondering why you don’t get some basic restroom supplies set up? There are camping type urinals for women and port a potties. Seems like it would make your life easier. I would definitely need to do that. 😂❤
Hi Rowan U really should look into a bucket system potty. Lots of utubes. I use a 5gal bucket because my knees are bad a reg toilet lid just the ring part that's open in the middle. There is really good gel to solidify the pee and poop. I separate mine but u don't have too with the solidifier. Just a 5 gal bucket, With a kitchen size garb bag doubled for possible leaks. Then I have 3gal bucket, with lid I put on top it has a dbl like walmart bag in it for pee. Or u can use a 3gal size garb bag. I used baking soda for smells in both buckets. Tho not supposed to smell much if u separate them. If u use the solidifyer that's all you'll need and probably won't need to separate them. Then u just throw everything out in trashes ur already using. Just a suggestion then ur not having too look for all night restrooms. Very much peace of mind. Having one. Especially when ur in strange cities. Safety and peace of mind. I know when I was dashing and ubering, stores stopped being 24 hrs. Put quite a damper on things. But it's what I use when minivan camping. Usually in AZ Quartzsite in Jan rtr and such. Good luck. Love ur channel.
I have very bad anxiety. I love seeing your videos. I did something out of my comfort zone. Thank the Lord for giving me the strength and your videos for allowing me to do it. Just started watching them a couple of days ago. 🙏🏻♥️🦋

So glad to see you in my old neck of the woods. I don’t miss the cold but Christmas in New York is my favorite time to be there!😊 The pizza looked sooo delish! Can’t wait to see where your next adventure is!
I've spent my entire life living in or near NYC, working in Manhattan. Your adventurous spirit is so commendable. BTW, New Jersey also has the best pizza. And lots to see from mountains to beaches.
My daughter and I went to NYC in November 2016. It was cold and raining the whole time we were there. I have to say we never found bathrooms half of the time. But we had a good time. Everyone was supper nice to us and told us where to go and where to stay away from. I loved it there but I am from south Florida so it was overwhelming most of the time. Thanks for sharing.

NYC! You are one cool chick, Rowan. I thought you were out in the boonies camping at that lake. I love New York and I was there in October! You looked happy - glad you went! 🍎🍕
Hi Rowan, So surprised you located so far away….New York? I’m glad you found a decent parking spot for the night with yummy pizza amenities. I was always venturing into the Santa Cruz mountains my whole life, a place with big trees, green fern, and beautiful scent of moist dewy soil. Forrest is where I am most comfortable and call home. I hated busy cities. But I went to New York about 7 yrs ago and fell in love. I was so surprised to feel the way I did…full of life enough to want to move there. If I were rich I probably would. It’s a fun place to be with so much diversity, restaurants, shopping, etc…. I’m just really happy you are bold to venture out on your own. I wish I were that brave. When you are in your 80s you sure are going to have many interesting stories about your past to talk about. I’m so glad you are having a blast!💛 I hope you find the best N.Y. Cup of coffee you ever tasted!
I love the Santa Cruz area! It is so beautiful there, with the ocean and the tall trees! I agree about nature being my comfort place but there really is something about New York that makes it fun to go to. I think I might have fun in Paris too lol but that’s down the road a bit.
Girl, you are amazing! I found your channel about a week ago and I am hooked. Loved this video especially because I’ve never been to NYC and can’t wait to see where you take us next. God bless.

Hi sorry about short notice but we love watching your videos and I was hoping you could fill us in with some information on where we should park for the night on New Year's we're driving there to watch the ball drop and we're going to stay in the rental
my daughter and i had just been to NYC in Feb'24 for a short trip and we had a good time there! I miss NYC and pizza :D
Thank you for taking me along with you to NY. Loved it
You’re welcome! 😊
Wish I knew you were coming to NYC. Would have been nice sharing a pizza with you. Looks delicious but there are so many places to get good pizza in NY. Manhattan Brooklyn Queens Bronx Staten Island. Next time you come back maybe we can share one.
The magic of New York City! Hope you enjoyed that pizza.....
A trick when you’re downtown. Walk into any busy bar…and use their bathroom. Especially where that pizza spot is.
Rowan, welcome to the East Coast!!! You go girl!!!
Thank you Melody!! 😊
You should get a shewee to keep in the car for emergencies ❤
I am from NY born and raised then moved to Maine at 32 this makes me miss home. Great video.
One thing about door dashing ; you would get to know some good eateries really fast ??? , especially in a brand new place .
There is nothing scary about NY. One of the safest places I ever lived. People are nice and it’s always got people on the street. It’s a cool town. I traveled all over the world and it’s scarier in the Middle East.
why bring up the middle east, its scary and safe everywhere, you cant escape the real world.
Same. I'd keep car door and house door unlocked while living in Astoria. No issues whatsoever. I ❤ NY
Well that’s not hard to believe…
Welcome to NYC! First visit?? That pizza looks yummy! (I drink milk with pizza. Usually unsweetened almond milk)
You were right next to the Blue Note - an iconic NYC jazz club! It was on the same block as your pizza place (artistic).
