One of the best days of my life was watching Hailwood and Agostini battle it out in the 500cc Senior TT at the Jubilee TT in 1967. We were in the front garden of the Creg-Ny-Baa pub, right on the line. It was awesome and only Mike the Bike could ride a bike that pulled the rear wheel out of line as he whacked the power back on coming out of the Creg. I saw it with my own eyes. Mike won that one.

I remember his return in 78, I think!
I’m sure this boosted the tourism figures that year at the Isle of Man TT.
I was helping a rider that year as a pit boy, so seen him but could not get too close as he had all sorts of people around him.
    One of the greatest!

Definitely one of the GOAT's he was the star in many young man's dreams. His great "fire engine" and appearances at Isle of Mann TT, stuff of legends to be sure!
