Do you have any advice on business insurance and security to keep people from breaking in at night time
Great video! Is it ok to get setup with UPS and FEDEX even though you’re not officially opened? Don’t they come by daily to pick up packages?
Thank you! Yes you should try and get set up with each before you even sign a lease. They will tell you yes or no before you sign on a location and you can do the application after the initial approval during your stores buildout.

I am sorry I do not know much about how the carrier set up works outside of the US. I’d imagine FedEx is still done through the FASC program but not sure outside of them.
USPS now says moratorium on new applications?
They do not do the approved shipper program any more. You can just use an Endicia account to ship usps

You can just use Endicia for USPS. There is no need to become a USPS approved shipper anymore.

i applied FedEx ship center Account but Fedex refuses to gave me by sating that we dont need the services where actually my store location is..please help

Did you end up getting the ups account? Do far ups was easy for me but hard was fed ex

@@theipasa23 I am looking at starting a pack and ship within my hometown. i am 2.4 miles away from the Ace hardware that is a UPS authorized shipping outlet. Being that their main business is not a pack and ship store do you think they would approve that? Im fearful of signing a lease without knowing....

What is the usual commission rate you get from shipping a package?
It varies based on shipment types (ie express or ground) but on average 45%
sorry for all the questions but last one! where did you purchase the mailboxes? were they new or used?
No worries! I got them from www.uspostcompany.com. There are a few other sites that sell USPS approved boxes. Takes about a month to get them because they have to engrave the numbers on to your specifications.
also how long did it take you to get approved with fedex after applying?
The FASC account number I got over the phone in about 20-30 minutes. You then use the account number to apply and I got notice back of approval about 2 days later. The rep from Fedex I talked to said once you get the account number you have a 99% chance of being approved for the account.
Did you get the UPS through RS associates yet?
No you have to be open for 3 months to get that account
did you ever pay for a course prior to starting up your store?
I did not! I just found everything through RS Associates or just researching myself and talking to each carrier over the phone.
did you get anywhere with amazon returns?
They are very difficult to deal with. Was going well be at a stalemate currently. Have the option to become an Amazon counter but that’s my best option at the moment. Package Hun is working with Amazon to set a deal for us to become return centers.
@@theipasa23 so when you opened your store for that 3 months before you could get with package hub how did you make money for 3 months??
I had carrier accounts with USPS and FedEx before package hub so I could still send anything. Package hub got me ups and steeper rates that allowed me to increase my margins
