    Coming along awesome! I like the radiator pipes. I did hot-rod flexible stainless pipes but I don't trust them since they have three couplers per side and I can't weld them. Just got my shifter mounted and working last night. Charging the A/C system up this week then finishing the seatbelts and pedals and the interior is going in FINALLY for good (I hope). Radio/amps are wired, wiper, washer, lights, doors, windows, mirrors, push start ignition alarm all wired. I know there will be a ton more stuff as it gets closer to driving but one step at a time finishes the journey!

      It`s all the little stuff that takes the most time! Cant wait to see yours finished. I was going to use stainless flex coolant lines. It was more cost effective to hard pipe them.

    Lovely build. I would make a removable brace to go in between the rear suspension connecting each side as there will be a lot of load and forces on the rear suspension. It will help stop the chassis from flexing and give better handling to. Something to think about 😉👍

    • @AmericanBuiltExotics
      @AmericanBuiltExotics  3 года назад +1

      Thanks. You are absolutely right about the flex. It flexes under its own weight. I do have a removable brace. Unfortunately it hits the power steering pump. I`m going to redesign the diablo brace to be more like a murcielago brace. The murci`s much stronger.

      @@AmericanBuiltExotics I didn’t know if you had one or not and only trying to help. Definitely have the brace connecting behind where the spring top mounts are and not off the top of that box section side panel as the suspension will rip through that side panel pretty easily. Looking like a nice build though 👍

      @@Spoonersoutings NAERC plans have the cross brace on top, off the engine bay side rails. On a real murci chassis... the cross brace is lower, and behind the suspension brackets, as you alluded to. I`ll take any advice any time, thanks!!!

      @@AmericanBuiltExotics have a look at a real Lamborghini chassis schematics and Nass car and drag cars to for references as there are a lot of tranquillisation in the chassis and the thickness of material used it’s all letting the stresses pass through it instead of exorbitan the stresses and toque of a engine witch would lead to rip itself apart. I wouldn’t want you to finish your project and have to take the hole car apart to redo something when this is the perfect time to stand back and Doublecheck everything before pressing on 😉

      @@AmericanBuiltExotics I don’t know you was following any plans but I would definitely cross reference them with other cars as I have learnt your best friend is research research research. I don’t know everything but I know a little bit about all most everything lol. I don’t like to see someone’s hard work and hard earned savings go to waste and dreams smashed because of something easily fixed if some one have just pointed it out. I don’t know if in them plans of yours they tell you about bump steer? If it doesn’t your steering rack needs to be the correct length and pivot inline with the upper and lower swing arms where they connect onto the chassis or you will get bump steer. Hope that helps to. I take my hat off to anyone that builds there own car as there is so much to think about and you always have to be thinking 3-4 steps ahead. Your doing a grand job 🤓👍

    Very cool project. Interested in trading my black Hermera style wheels plus cash for your Hercules wheels?

    • @AmericanBuiltExotics
      @AmericanBuiltExotics  3 года назад

      Thanks Pancho! Nope,.not interested in trading wheels. I think Hercules wheels are one of the best designed wheels ever created. I do wished the rears were 19''.

      @@panchosspeedshop8576I can relate. I didn't care for the Hermeras 4 years ago, when I bought my wheels. Now, I really like the black sets. They are more open and expose the calipers better. Still wouldn't take them over the Hurcules. lol

    Did they have 2 coilovers on each rear wheel factory???

      Yes. Lamborghini also used eibach springs.

    What did the motor set you back? Is it new or used? Sorry, my first time watching.

    • @AmericanBuiltExotics
      @AmericanBuiltExotics  3 года назад +1

      Engine is used. Less than 7k miles. A used Murci engine (only) goes for 20K-35K. I`ll keep what I paid confidential, for now.

      Tha is for the reply. Your car looks fantastic. It’s going to turn out incredible because of your attention to detail. I was asking because I’m thinking of a couple different builds I want to undertake as my first. I wanted to try and find a used V12 or a Ferrari v8 to transplant in a Daytona kit car. I have been looking around but I don’t have that deep of pockets but I want to have that Italian sound coming out of the car. I definitely respect keeping the price quiet. I’ve been looking at a Maserati v8 since it is based on the Ferrari and has that high revenge sound. They are reasonably priced. I found the Falconer V12 but very expensive.
      Anyways thanks for the reply and your videos. I subscribed and will be watching.

      @@romans8forging181 Have you looked at a Mercedes M120 V12? Inexpensive, 400Hp, straight pipe them, and they sound amazing! I just sold my m120, that was intended for this project.

      @@AmericanBuiltExotics Thanks for the suggestion. I have seen them out there and that might be a good alternative. I just think it would be really cool to take a Ferrari replica and put a Ferrari engine in it. But I might be in for it as far as maintaining.
