Nice looking rucksack and never heard of JayJays. I have the 5.11 Rush 12 & Rush 72 and I can say they are excellent rucksacks but as you said it’s down to personal choice. Great video as enjoy seeing updates on how you are doing with your training and military training. Keep it up.
@@Lightning982 yes the 72 is nice too I’m very happy with it. Have you seen the Rush 100 that’s nice too and it’s really nice fitting round the chest and hips I did have it but I sent it back as I wasn’t happy with the colour I chose as in the pictures it looks a nice khaki green but when turn up it was a dark dark green which they call Ranger green that was the only thing I didn’t like about the Rush 100, wish they did it in MTP camo but sadly they don’t. Yeah if your into one for big hikes/camping I defo recommend the 5.11 Rush 100. I just didn’t like the colour but everything else bang on especially how comfy it is.
@@Jib230181 The 100 looks ace! I agree they need more colours, all my rush backpacks are black but an MTP Rush 100 would be great! It’ll be way more than £100 though so not the cheapest.
For day pack i have the British issues Virtus 17 lt. It is great for mechanized infantry, direct action and 24hour op. For more than 24 hours I have a 20 year old Tasmanian Tiger Mission pack which is 40 lt.
Hi, I'm a former infantry officer (1PWO) (now 2 YORKS) - great vid and review but I'm surprised that the Karrimor Predator SF 45 patrol sack wasn't recommended to you. It can be day sack or a bergen if you add side pouches. Camelback bladder compatible and has a stow away hip strap so you can really use it for heavy loads. I've had one for years and it's tough as an old boot. Worth checking out as it is a lot more versatile than the litefighter. Would i do it all again if I could - you bet I would. 🙂
ive got the karrimor sf ecm pack. similar. brilliant kit. im ex UKSF R and also a Yorkshireman. Been out 20 years wish I could go back in time. Its amazing how much issue kit has changed. All good stuff.
Sounds about right just like us here in the U.S. Issued packs get the job done, but there are better out there. Mystery Ranch has been by far one of my greatest investments with their packs.
I've been after a day sack to replace my old one which I had from when I was TA it lasted me 15 years and used it when I left for work I'll be getting a jayjays as me new work bag like you said it's an investment I probably won't need to replace it for a good amount of time
I served 4 years in the US army as an infantryman. Ive wanted to join the British army but they turn me down, despite being myself ethnically an Ulster Scot. And obviously English speaking.
Have you come across the issued 40L virtus? Opinion? Thanks for the review and info, this looks like a quality daysack, other channels that have reviewed this are Prepared Pathfinder and Doggonetabbing, both ex mil, latter is reviewing loads of daysacks, rucksacks etc
Re: Cutting the blood supply off to your arms: It might actually be that you're impinging the nerve. Try having the pack higher on your shoulders so it puts pressure more over your clavicle.
I love jayjays gear really great quality but what happened to the virtus daysack hen it too is solidly made ,I've carried the virtus Bergen now every day for 12 months and find nothing wrong with the virtus gear
🎉🎉I'm not military but watching out of interest I never knew you could upload videos from the army are there rules for uploading or can you upload anything thanks in advance 🎉🎉
Just a little tip Chelsea. The word mong or monging out is considered offensive these days. I'm sure it's not meant on your part but just giving you the heads up . Love the videos by the way. Good luck on your journey with the Army.
I think a mong was a derogatory term for someone with down syndrome mong, monger, mongaloid. I think it’s use has changed a lot same with spastic/spaz / spazzer . I would never use any of these terms to describe anyone with downs or disability but do use them endearingly to people i know.
Its good quality (had mine for 5 years) ( no issues at all ), Light weight even when soaked, Good capacity and can be easily compressed to fit in the top flap of my burgan.
Everything you say is good, she will suggest you start using vitamins,if you want to stay fit, used calcium ,mollers(omega3),Lutein, d3vitamin.life in the army is hard ,you are too nice to be sick, perfect thanks.
commonwealth citizens can join the british army, it just depends if they are accepting applications at the moment. Gurkhas are also recruited from Nepal and india

I have two 5.11 Rush 12 and one Rush 24 and agree, they're both ace! I'm also looking to get a 72 just for weighted runs.

NI patrol pack

Also if you ever need a smaller daysack the Camelbak HAWG is excellent or something to replace the virtus mk3 bergen try a Jayjays beast bergen too 👍🏻
The top loading NI Patrol pack 30L is the best daysack. Built to last and tried and tested! Can be modded too.
Having seen the different kinds of Daypacks the Jay-Jays looks the best one.
My daughter and I have old issue NI DPM patrol packs, plenty useful for day/overnight use.
JayJays make good kit right out of the box.
Hey Chelsie, not watched you for a while. Youll do for me as you said "I Tab " a lot. Proper soldiers i.e (Airborne) "TAB". made me chuckle.
This pack resembles the Russian military "Ратник"-6SH117 patrol backpack. It has its differences but it is very similar.
Great video. Thanks you for sharing the info which will be useful further down the line for me.

The 40 liter for about 40 pounds. Looked good to me. Rides high so you can wear it with British fighting kit!

Hey am going to assessment on the 25th of this month are you allowed phone and will I need to do ice breaker there to?
Yes & yes
Can’t go wrong with mystery ranch
I was always told never to use chest straps as they constrict breathing.....old soldiers tle i guess!!!!
very useful video!
What hydration pack do you use in your Jay Jays?
Should have watched doggonetabbing channel. He does lots of Bergen/daysack reviews
Doggonetabbing is the man.
amazing,thanks.
Повседневный рюкзак, - понятно, поменьше, чем рюкзак походный (то есть, полного размера).
Thanks ( desc. day sick)
In the US we call them assault packs but same thing

I've got 2 kombats. A black and a mtp great love them
Seen the rise of them in the last 10 years too
How's going your life there? It been long time ago.. hope you remember me
Sore shoulders, numb fingers, cutting off blood flow. Easy fix is to get a bag with hip belts.
What do you think about Kombat daysacks?
Don't waste your money on them, get a Camelbak sparta or hawg if you need a daysack etc.
