Oriental Lake 8BIT Remix (from Super Mario Bros. Wonder)

For the final week of Super Mario Bros. Wonder 8bit Remix Livestreams, I created this remix of the Oriental Lake theme.
As I discussed on stream, I made the decision to break one of my Super Mario Bros. style rules, and use arpeggios for the chords. I think it was the only way to achieve the type of sound that would do this song justice. I really like the mysterious feel it has, I don't think there has really been a theme like this in any other 2D Mario game.
This will likely be the final 8bit remix for a little while, as I transition into arrangements in various other styles, including jazz, funk, rock, orchestral... who knows? I'll bring the 8bit remixes back occasionally, probably, but for now I've got some new ideas I want to put some time into.

Is it just me, or is the tempo slightly faster here than the original game?

It is faster. The reason for this (this also takes place in other 8bit remixes) is the NES is most compatible with certain tempos rather than others. So while this song is originally 120BPM, the closest tempo allowed by the NES is 128BPM
