Look up some of the center console boats that they put them on things are nuts saw one with 6 of them and all i could think is mpg whats that think you mean gpm gallons per mile lol
WielerOutdoors for the least drag, raise the engine up with the jack plate until only the lower half of the prop is in the water. Run about 40 mph and adjust the trim to keep the bow level. Trim up too much and the boat will porpoise, too low and the bow will drag. This technique is for racing. For cruising, drop the engine down all the way for maximum prop contact to grab the water. Trim is always about keeping the bow level, not dragging and not porpoising. fishing, skiing, diving are my sports, taking care of and fooling around with boats is my hobby.
@@gamblerish but it is a shame that you removed the sound of the outboard. Doesnt matter if its the purpose or not, everybody wants to hear the outboard. Remember that in your next vid
Chris Peavy once it's over centered the engine is actually pushing upwards on the jack plate. It would extend the cylinder at speed and only allow the engine to fall once its exerting a force less than the weight of the engine.

122mph! Amazing result! 👍
Thats one of the best jack plates that I have seen.........Randy, you're the best of the best.......
Great video watched it like 56 times stoned out of my mind
That jack plate sent me subliminal messages.

That Jack plate is a frikin art very cool.120 mph oh yeah !!!
122mph!
Jimmy Cline make that 124!
Probably the best Transom Jack 4 an Outboard that l have seen 😅.
Very very nice look'in peice of engineering 👌
Ran in Sterling with 300Hp. This is insane performance Randy!! Thanks for videos😀
Does this Fantastic Jack Plate work Simultaneously with Twin Rigs Please . Awesome bit of Kit .
Robert Australia 🇦🇺
I’d like to see the new 600hp Mercury on this boat!
Reinforce the transom first
Too heavy
Mercury V12 is not made for Racing, and as Blind_FPV rightly states, it too heavy
Look up some of the center console boats that they put them on things are nuts saw one with 6 of them and all i could think is mpg whats that think you mean gpm gallons per mile lol
Correction it was 5 now that i count but still 3000hp in a boat lol
Wow, but with the "sport master" foot, the exhaust is always through the propeller hub or plane? Thank you
Porta Brackets are pretty Heavy Duty. They build some outrageous stuff, you have it they build it.
The 600 is an off shore big centre console or similar .
The New 500R would be a Gr8 Choice 👍 😅
Mercury does make a bad ass motor.
Just installed a 450 R on a Tri-Toon can't wait to see how she runs ??
Seriously, insanity. Good stuff
It's a very strong looking plate.
No, it looks dangerous to use with such powerful outboards. It is way to small and thin built.
Sick prop!!
The biggest problem with a boat that fast: running out of lake before it hits top speed.
Thanks, love it.
Awesome Jack Plate 😅😅😅
Very nice setup.
Wow that’s a nice ass set up for the motor
What are these boats used for? I know they are fast but can they be used for other activities?
Hauling in puntang.
That's crazy cool.
What are the particulars of the complete package?
Raise the engine up until the props starts to slip. Lower half only in the water reduces drag.
That's what hes doing.
How much more drag do you need to reduce when the jack plate is all the way up?🤣🤣
WielerOutdoors for the least drag, raise the engine up with the jack plate until only the lower half of the prop is in the water. Run about 40 mph and adjust the trim to keep the bow level. Trim up too much and the boat will porpoise, too low and the bow will drag. This technique is for racing.

G Howard Then the prop would start to slip. That’s why they chose a jack plate with such little travel
When it slips, the driver will feel it. Just lower the engine in one inch increments until it catches.
The honest women will tell you that extra 2" makes all the difference in the World!!!🤣
108 mph is pretty good
122
200 kmph insane

And you put a music over the sound of the engine😡
👎👎😔
Excellent observation. This videos purpose wasn’t to document the sound of the outboard

How do you get that telemetry on the screen?
Insane!!
Rien à dire 👍🚤
can't see how fast actual boat go
120 mph= 200kmh isn't it?
If only there was some way to figure out that conversion yourself....
Well done

Jack plate is a joke. Bairly moves. Junk.
Porta makes plates with a lot more travel. We simply did not need one.
