- We test the all-new Itineo Nomad CM660, a compact A-class motorhome from the Rapido Group. It has an island bed and a drop-down bed, as well as a very keen price, and is built on a Peugeot Boxer. But is it good enough to impress our reviewer?

Glad you enjoyed it!
Best video I've seen so far. Thanks a lot for the effort put into it. Regards from Switzerland

This is probably the first motorhome review where I've seen water running out of the shower head!👍
Because we like to test things as thoroughly as we can!
Another excellent review from Peter. Thank you sir. I personally thanked you for your reviews at the NEC a couple of years ago. Thanks yet again!
Many thanks! Glad your enjoying the channel
@@MotorhomeCampervan Literally ordered one of these this morning on the back of Peters review. Excited!!
I'd decided on buying a kemerton XL, then saw this Itineo advertised in camping and caravaning which led me here. DECISIONS!! Just the 2 of us. No microwave, Low down oven are the only 2 downsides. Loving the fixed bed and garage space.
Those are two very, very different 'vans. If you like the Kemerton, I'd also watch our review of the Murvi Pimento XL - ruclips.net/video/bfHBCKwgIrs/видео.html
A microwave could always be a carried separately (in the garage) in the Itineo but do you really need one? It can only be used on campsites...
Without a garage (or other exterior locker) where will you carry your barbecue, outdoor chairs, etc?
Will you be going away for long periods, making up a bed every night?
Or, if you like Auto-Sleepers' style, how about a Kingham?
Decisions, decisions...
Wow. Polar opposites. Personal preference I suppose, but I wouldn't consider the Kemberton myself.
We take delivery of ours on 8th November and hope its as good as it seems in practice! Will let you know!!
@@MotorhomeCampervan just returned from the Warners show in Peterborough. Again we sat in the Kemerton, but this time the vibe wasn't there. Still like the Itineo. So hard to get hold of one!! It ticks all the boxes. Good feedback re the microwave and the garage. Believe prices Are coming down.
Thanks Pete, I think this new Itineo range is a bit of a game changer especially as the price of the Pegaso's has creeped up significantly. Impressed with the shower room, a few techy high end additions & exceptional payload for 3500kg. Fully loaded on a Fiat 9 speed for under £75k... Love it!
Totally agree. One of my favourite new models this season
A SUPER VERY WELL DOCUMENTATION.............MISTER . ( GOOD INFORMATION AND EXPLAINING ) THANKS.
Always great informative reviews by Peter and looks a perfect van for people like us looking to downsize as we approach 70 and still want that all important island bed.
Agreed. This would be a great option as a compact, 3,500kg model with an island bed
That looks an award winner to me, very stylish and good compromises, sounds well built too and at what (if it stays!) looks like a great price.
It does! It's great 'van for the money.
Great comprehensive review of a very tidy A-class 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Really does make many panel vans look expensive when you consider how many of those are built.Great review
Panel van conversions really are the biggest rip off in the motorhome world .
The problem is that panel van conversions are much more difficult and costly to build and it costs more to buy a van than a chassis-cab or chassis-cowl. But if you prefer a coachbuilt anyway, this looks fantastic value.
@@MotorhomeCampervan the panel van trend is one of the most bizarre ones I've seen for a long time . I cant count the amount of times I've seen retired couples in aires in France and Spain cooped up in these things, not talking to each other and realising that after sending 120k they're living in a tiny 10x6 tin can with extreme back ache !! LOL
@@justinlinnane8043 I know a 75 year old couple that just bought a van conversion for 70k. They hate it and only had it a couple of months.
Really attractive , well thought out camper and certainly doesn't look cheap .That island bed eats up space in the rest of the van though . A transverse rear double would make more sense in such a short vehicle .
They've gone with an island bed because that's what sells. A transverse bed means climbing over your partner to get out, so it's less popular.
That said, I liked this little Chausson with a transverse bed - ruclips.net/video/Y-p44SpfoqA/видео.html
Looked at this myself, but went for the superb Carado i339 instead.
I like the Carado build quality and simple, practical design but the Itineo's compact size appeals to me
Great review, looks like an excellent motorhome for the money.
I'd have loved to hear about the OEM Solar options and a peek at the potential roof space for retro-fitting them.
Wiring for a solar panel is factory fitted but any panel will be a dealer-fit accessory.
We just bought one and added AC / Solar / awning / tow bar - all of which were easily fitted at the dealers workshop…
@@buzzerrolph consideing AC in my CJ660. Did you get roof mount and did it use one of the roof lights?
@@buzzerrolph consideing AC in my CJ660. Did you get roof mount and did it use one of the roof lights?
@@billkay4748 Hi Bill - no we just put it above the kitchen area in front of the fridge - only a slight adjustment of the small cupboard door so that it passes the AC unit inside and the bathroom door shaved on top a little and a minor adjustment to the ceiling rail fitted well as we also have the 2x150w solar panels on top… it just worked there and no need to lose a light - and it gets AC to the island bed at the back really effectively - we also just fitted the auto levellers from MA-VE that are a real game changer!!
We love it!! :)
What a fantastic van for less than some of the silly pop top VWs that come with cushion juggling, your toilet in the middle of your kitchen and no shower.
The VWs really appeal to those who want a multi-purpose vehicle to use daily but this looks great value and a good alternative to some of the larger campervans. The slim body and relatively compact length are big pluses.
Great review of a well throughout van at a reasonable price.
Yes, I really like these Itineos. The single bed version is even better!
Brilliant reviews mate ✅❤️👍👏
Thanks 👍
“Nice net curtains in the window, so a very modern motor home look” LOL 😂
They still seem to love net curtains on the Continent. If you don't, just take them out. Much harder to change the rest of the look.
Very exciting design! Can the bed be used semi raised to fit bikes with the front wheels removed?
I think you need to lower the bed for sleeping but might still be able to get bikes in with the front wheels removed. You'd have to check measurements or, better still, try it to be sure
Brilliant review as ever Peter!
Thank you. Comments like that are always appreciated!
i wonder if you can get it left hand drive and if the main bedroom can be closed with a sliding door for privacy and noise.
The toilet door can close off the bedroom (there's no sliding door). Of course, LHD is available but would be a special order in the UK
The single bed model has a sliding door. We have had ours for 3 months now so far so good
We have a left hand drive and it’s much better than the RHD Version that Peter showed us - as the RHD is not fully adapted from the LHD original design
I have to admit that she’s a beautiful home on wheels
Agreed. The single bed version is an award winner - www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/motorhomes/information/best-fixed-single-bed-motorhome-award-winner
Great review
Thank you
Perhaps do the driving part at the end of your clip?
That's the usual format, but the size issue is key here
It'd be nice to know where the plug would be for a kettle to make a brew as this aspect is often not considered.
If you pause at 19:33 and look top left on your screen you'll see a 12V and covered 230V socket. You'd need to have the sink lid down and put the kettle there.
Just under the sink on the front panel
L00k at the Chem Trails in every scene.
Not far from Heathrow!
he said nice weather😂 give it a few hours a nice white sky
U know it
Does it have a solar panel on the roof?
No, but a dealer can fit one. The wiring is already in situ
With this being under 3500kg would it be drivable on a normal license. Also do you know if you can order it without the drop down bed. Make it more a couples van 😀😀
Love your reviews 😀
Yes, normal car licence is fine. You can't order it without the drop-down bed but that will make it easier to resell when you want to trade it in.
Glad you enjoy the reviews!
I just wish it was a little longer so the 'garage' was actually a garage and big enough to store a small scooter and then this would be perfect.
The garage is up to 1.12m wide. You won't find much bigger without going to a huge 'van. I think you'd get a small scooter in here OK (with the bed in its raised position).
What UK license do you need to drive this van please. A great review, thank you.
Just a normal car licence as it's 3,500kg maximum gross weight
Net curtains? What were they thinking?
Europeans seem to love them. Most continental 'vans have them!
Can't fault it, lovely.👍
I do not see the point of extra seats behind the driver for a single bed version, as it seems a waste of space.
You have two double beds, so four travel seats. Did you not see the drop-down bed in the cab?
Are you watching the same review ? its a four birth with two doubles . not sure where you expect everyone to sit ?
awesome
The single bed version is an award winner - www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/motorhomes/information/motorhome-awards-official-homepage
Interesting review Peter. Just sold our Chausson, mainly because the interior rattles spoiled the travelling experience ie drove me nuts! I put that down to flimsy build quality and electric drop down beds moving on the inadequate plastic runners. So I was interested to hear you say the Itineo pull down bed didn't rattle on the move but there was other "conversion" noise? From the cabinets perhaps? I've been looking at smaller A class, such as Dethleffs Globebus and Hymer so the Itineo may be a less expensive alternative....if not too rattly!
There was some conversion noise, but not much. If you really want to avoid conversion noise altogether, I'd look at something based on a Ford or Mercedes (softer ride means less rattles) and, possibly, look at a large van conversion rather than a coachbuilt.
@@MotorhomeCampervan It was on a Ford which does have a more compliant ride than Fiat. I suspect (and I may need wrong!) that the old yardstick of German cars having superior build quality of over French might apply to coach built motor homes too?
@@stevenpanter5386 Not always, some German 'vans rattle, too! If you really want a quite drive, though, I'd test drive a few top-quality van conversions.
@@peterv3642 Thanks Peter for the advice. I am considering an upmarket van conversion such as the Malibu after your earlier review of the Charming. Or possibly Globebus which I remember you described as rattle free on the road!
@@stevenpanter5386 Globecar always have nice quality and don't forget Adria. Westfalia are worth a close look, too, and Hymercar. But there are also some nice quality British van conversions, like Murvi and Vantage, if you don't want a fixed bed.
Looks great but is it actually available to order and if so are they guaranteeing the price at £68k or is it take a deposit and let’s see how much it needs to be in January 😔
You'd need to talk to a dealer, such as Wokingham Motorhomes, but I believe the price at time of ordering is what you will pay. You can order one, certainly, but I doubt if you'd get it before the end of the year. Again, Russell at Wokingham will be able to confirm delivery times.

£80,700 brand new from Brownhills… inflation what inflation
Yes, motorhome prices have shot up but is that a like-for-like spec?
@@MotorhomeCampervan effectively
my first home will be a car and second one will be boat
Peugeot Boxer is identical to Fiat Ducato. Are you sure it is cheaper?
Not quite identical. The Peugeot doesn't get the facelifted cab interior of the latest Series 8 Fiat Ducato, nor many of the new options.
A number of motorhome manufacturers are also switching to Peugeot or Citroen because they can buy them cheaper than Fiats.
63,600 Pound sterling equals
79,990.36 United States Dollar
$80K. I don't think so.
What would you pay for a good-quality RV in the States then? That's a very good price over here
@@MotorhomeCampervan I didn't say it wasn't a good price compared to others. I said it's too much for me.
There are lots of people buying today, but they are still the minority because middle and lower middle class and poor cannot even comprehend the money people pay for these, buses, and ridiculously large trailers. They are products for conspicuous consumption of the better off. Most of us are just trying to maintain a home or pay rent and vehicles to go to work and to eat, not for frivolously expensive toys. I have a trailer that fits my needs, not my fancies, which I bought new for $19K three years ago. It now sells for almost $40K new. I'm sure many would not be able to afford that either. So I'm not against RVing, just against the extravagance and waste of so many, and I could not afford an $80K RV.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Class 'A' mini with a cassette toilet? No thanks. For 70 grand a removable cassette is just not acceptable.
Cassette toilets are still the norm at £170,000, not just £70k...
@@MotorhomeCampervan In Britain perhaps, but not in the rest of the world. The RV world does not end at Britain's coastlines.
@@ShmuelWeintraub Bizarre comment. This is a UK review. You even quoted the price in pounds.
Not with my money.
What don't you like?
@@MotorhomeCampervan Since you ask. The fit and finish under the bonnet, bonnet catch is fitted upside down, small windows, garage not tall enough, and compromised by the bed anyway, how long before that stops working, very awkward to change the gas cylinders, no spare wheel, okay if you get a flat near a big town, terrible if you're out in the wilds. no blind spot mirrors, no electric windows, you do make reference to the noise, it's way beyond time that we had coil springs instead of ancient cart springs or even airbags as standard. The wipers should be triple as it is a bespoke cab, not a steel van cab where this would be difficult. the lounge area is tiny, nowhere to stretch out, we don't want to sit in the cab seats we've been in all day every day. storage space also looks a bit small too, seats for rear passengers look to be too upright for comfort and where do the cushion and ply go? The fridge is a good size but I hate that you have to lose the cool out of the fridge when you go into the freezer, the doors used to be separate which made sense, also not many shelves in the fridge or on the fridge door, room for at least two more mini shelves there. no grill? senseless. silly wire shelf above the sink lid, just waiting for sporty spice to bounce out and smash the lid. looks like anything in the bathroom cabinets will be on the floor when you open them on site, (did like the tap) too much hassle to have a shower for me, and a rubbishy tray as you mentioned. you can't sit up in bed to read or have your first drink of the day as the cupboards are too low and the shelf? and lights are where your head would be anyway. cab curtains were ok but should simply overlap as we all know Velcro over time stops working and gets bits of fluff on it. drop down bed too small and claustrophobic, not keen on all the LED strip lighting, too in your face for me, pointless under cupboard shelves in kitchen/lounge.
@@H4rleyBoy Not buying one then? 😀 What is your fave motorhome at the moment?
