Elvis supported 50 charities in Memphis alone! @@generalyellor8188 You are obviously confusing Elvis with regular celebrities, Elvis did way more than simply putting on concerts to buy face for his humanitarianism! There is a lot of "behind the scenes" in handing cheques to charities and people no one knew about, he did that. He paid people's medical expenses, people he did not know from a bar of soap who did not know who their benefactor was. Elvis bought cars and houses for everyone who worked for him and he bought cars for perfect strangers. Everything he bought for himself like a horse, scooter etc would be bought for his friends/staff as well. He was very generous and humble, a man with a heart of pure gold. If it were not for Charlie Hodge, a close friend of his who spoke about this after Elvis died, none of the charity Elvis did outside of the public eye would be known.

That was the awesome beginning of a phenomenal life and career that was matched by no one else. There's been no one quite like him nor will there ever be. Who was one of the most handsome man that ever walked the Earth, had one of the best voices that ever saying and had a style that was so unique that went perfectly with it all. And he came on the scene at the perfect time. The early and mid fifties when rock and roll and music was brand spanking new in that type of genre. It's hard to put into words he was phenomenal he had it all every aspect. I used to sing a songs when I was lead singer of the 50s band and I love doing tributes to him. I was fortunate very fortunate to see him in concert live right in front of me in 1973. It is so tragic and breaks my heart to see how his life ended. But I guess it couldn't be avoided. Before he reached the heights of and a popularity and a persona that no man can handle no man was ever meant to achieve. And it was too much for him because it would be too much for anyone. And the very thing that made him so special ended up destroying him aided by certain people around him. I just pray and hope he's with Jesus now and the father singing praises to them and I'll get to meet him again someday.

He was great even then, the old folks will complain that his music was somewhat racy, but that's how the song was written. He was Gorgeous from the beginning. Where are all those that complained about Our King back then???? You'll forevermore be loved, Elvis. I've loved you for decades. You can see why the early recordings were not usable for the movie in 2022. We know what elvis is singing, mainly because the movie has elvis singing this song at Louisiana Hayride. Thank goodness Austin has singing ability. The movie is great.
I did not think that there was film of him performing in 1956 at the charity event at Russwood. I thought I had heard Austin Butler say that all they could find were still photos of the concert and that’s how they developed the Trouble dance scene for the Elvis movie. I didn’t think he was talking about Trouble or Play House…just that there were only photo shots not film. Perhaps I misunderstood. This was great.
