Actually, the "flying sword" isn't a bit too much because if you saw the story, the spirit of the leader of the Redguards was inside the sword. In other words, the sword was "possessed". Not only that, before this scene the sword help guide Cyrus and to opened a secret door to the palace(the sword acted like some sort of swipe card to open the door)
It wasnt just any leader it was the Spirit of Prince A'Tor whos Soul was trapped in a Soul Gem by his Arch Mage as a last resort of Survival before they were burned to death by Tiber Septim's Dragon

Its just that all the cultures that we are familiar with in the popular games (the Imperials, the Beast races, Elves, and the Nords) have a more intimate and sophisticated relationship with the Daedra as more-or-less crazy and/or eccentric uncles and Oblivion as a different form of existence (and not all of Oblivion is hellish by any means). And yea, the game is old :)

I love the whole the setup cause its all cannon and lore Friendly... The redguard battles his way to fight the abusive imperial governor and his plan of using a Dwemer Airship. The Dark Elf is apart of the Dark Brotherhood and became an agent for the Empire. Its all Elder Scroll friendly goodness.

Redguard made the Imperials a distinct race (which is why they've been playable in every game that came after); it showed us the advanced technology of the Dwemer (Hell, this game is the reason for the whole "-mer" thing), such as their robots and airships; it first introduced the star constellations like "The Warrior", "The Mage", and The Thief"; And the Pocket Guide to the Empire, which came bundled with the game, gave us our first real analysis of the land of Tamriel since Arena and set up most of the different races' cultures and history. And Dram was a member of the Morag Tong, not the Dark Brotherhood.

I don't understand why Bethesda didn't remake something like this instead of Skyrim, a game that's not even that old. If they had to remake anything, then it should have been Redguard or Battlespire.
It would be counter immersive for people who like to roleplay but with Fallout 4 they're taking the Bioware route and doing the dialog in third person scenes as an optional mechanic so Elder Scrolls 6 will most likely feature it too.
Well when I finish one of the several questlines I would rather have respect from the faction's members and a nice scene like this instead of an iron battleaxe.

The Imperials signed the White-Gold Concordat because they hoped to maintain control over their empire, which they lost ultimately in the end. Redguards, Nords, etc. these races were willing to die rather than submit to oppression, that's why the Thalmor have failed to conquer these provinces..
They write: "Direct contact remains a possibility (under extreme circumstances), but in general the asset should be considered dormant. As long as the civil war proceeds in its current indecisive fashion, we should remain hands-off. The incident at Helgen is an example where an exception had to be made". So the Thalmor would contact Ulfric (under extreme circumstances). They would never consider contacting him if he was not already aware of their actions. But maybe i read to much in it...
@shuboy05 By the way, Eye of Argonia was to be set in Black Marsh which is another reason I want to see the game revisited. The various southern provinces haven't been explored since Arena.

Well if you had the Bloodmoon add-on there is a breton in Ald-ruhn (I think), and he gives you a quest to track down his Zepplin, or "Air ship" as he calls it.
Fact: Redguards make up the "Black" role in the Elder Scrolls Fact: They also make up the Middle Eastern Role AND the Mediteranian role Fact: They still kick more ass then any other race and some of the other races combined
well I think that is instated so that you have to best possible experience in the areas you get to fully choose to do. Also the main quest line characters all have some origin like Paarthunax being Alduin's former right hand. And Esbern and Delphine with the whole Blades thing.
Ya it's Dwemer tech that he managed to rebuild. But something went wrong, and it crashed into Solstheim killing his entire crew. And I think hes the guy that wanted you to retrieve a magical amulet that would help him score.
There's quite a few problems with this, the most obvious one being the fact that he has no problem with a Stormcloak victory. They refer to him as an asset because they've been able to manipulate him into doing what they want - he's not in their pocket.
Amazes me how the Elder Scrolls fanbase can read two words out of a book and keep parroting that wrong opinion when the next two words are literally "Status: Uncooperative" In the real world, Osama bin Laden was considered an *American* asset. Asset doesn't mean ally. It means you are of use. The Dominion supplies Ulfric not because they want him to win but to tie up the Empire. The last words in that same dossier literally say, 'In no way is a Stormcloak victory desireable."

By the way, Eye of Argonia was to be set in Black Marsh which is another reason I want to see the game revisited. The various southern provinces haven't been explored since Arena.

@BigBuddha2012 Well they did become good because they gave Redguards autonomy for Redguards at the end of the game. Tiber Septim met with the rebel leaders for fair rule idea instead of counter attack.
Well if you had the Bloodmoon add-on there is a breton in Ald-ruhn (I think), and he gives you a quest to track down his Zepplin, or "Air ship" as he calls it.
Fact: Redguards make up the "Black" role in the Elder Scrolls
Fact: They also make up the Middle Eastern Role AND the Mediteranian role
Fact: They still kick more ass then any other race and some of the other races combined

well I think that is instated so that you have to best possible experience in the areas you get to fully choose to do. Also the main quest line characters all have some origin like Paarthunax being Alduin's former right hand. And Esbern and Delphine with the whole Blades thing.

Ya it's Dwemer tech that he managed to rebuild. But something went wrong, and it crashed into Solstheim killing his entire crew. And I think hes the guy that wanted you to retrieve a magical amulet that would help him score.
More than that. This takes place during Tiber Septim's conquest of Tamriel. At least six to seven hundred years before Skyrim.

you dont see many past this game because redgaurd is in the second era, when dwarven artifacts were more plentiful.

There's quite a few problems with this, the most obvious one being the fact that he has no problem with a Stormcloak victory. They refer to him as an asset because they've been able to manipulate him into doing what they want - he's not in their pocket.
Amazes me how the Elder Scrolls fanbase can read two words out of a book and keep parroting that wrong opinion when the next two words are literally "Status: Uncooperative"

@badmangod This takes place 400 or so years before the events that encompass the lifetime of Urial Septime VII ( Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind and finally his death in Oblivion.) Who knows what technology has been lost and found in such a huge span of time.
