  • One of the largest literary awards in the UK, the EMPA was inaugurated in 2014 and is held every two years. The prize pool (shared between 1-4 poets) is £20,000, providing a ‘game changer’ opportunity for unpublished Scottish poet/s aged 30 or younger. Deadline for the 2022 award is March 31, 2022.
On March 17 The Edwin Morgan Trust teamed up with the Centre for Poetic Innovation and Creative Writing at the University of Dundee to present an online info session with Heather H. Yeung 楊希蒂, Alycia Pirmohamed and Colin Herd. This session aims to help poets through the final steps of submission - answering questions such as:
How do I select which poems should be in the collection?
What is the best way to format my poems?
How do I present visual or concrete poems?
When is it better to enter with a video or audio file vs a text file?
How do I make sure that my selected poems 'speak' to each other?
    Live captioning by Sheryll Holley
    BSL interpreting by Kyra Pollitt
    Zoom facilitator Iona Lee
