I really like your channel. It's pretty cool that you like the old cars so much, even though you weren't around back when they were common. I was born in 1960 when these cars were everywhere. I like Mopar the best....the '68 Town and Country you have is very special, with all the options it has....thank you for bringing it back from dead!

Love your LTD. I once owned a 1978 Ford LTD Country Squire. It was only a few years back, and man I loved that car. Watching your channel really make me wish I never sold her. For the longest time I did not know whatthe letters LTD stood for. I found out it meant "Luxury Trim Decor" or "Limited" trim designation for the Galaxie 500, You may have known that,

Sweet LTD man. Thats the quickest cold start ive ever seen for a carbureted car at such a low temp, thing must be tuned perfectly with a ealthy ignition system (and badass battery)

    Hi lucky
    warm Paul from
    Seattle. It used to
    get to much snow
I dont know i heard we
    Don't get a Arctic front like we used too. I dont know, i had a 1977 L.T.D 2
It wasnt so bad on gas because i didn't drive but it was . I wish i hadn't of let brakes i could hv been in a accident. But 351/400 midland or modified i heard later. I was stupid to let the brakes go . But got rid of it, beautiful car. It was Ford's effort to show a slightly smaller full sz. Chevy had came out with impala lost sm weight . I owned it a year , but good luck & God bless it sure had sm power after a tune up a guy help me. Thx 🎉

I drove a 1976 LTD Landau in high school. My dad bought the car new. Very similar to yours, only in a dark blue Metallic. It also had the fender skirts. I’m 55 now, but to this day, it’s one of the best riding cars I’ve ever had. Great car. Never had any major cold start issues with it in the winter. But, one word of advice. Never use the bumper jack, if you can avoid it. The bumper brackets tended to rust away quickly and couldn’t hold the weight of the car. I had it happen to me once. It was scary, to say the least. The car was less than 10 years old, when it happened. Good luck with the car. It’s a good one.

I didn’t know AM only radios were still an option in ‘77. I guess that hung around until sometime in the 80s.

Great that the heater still does well. I daily a 78 Datsun and the heat in it works pretty good. Not always useful where I live, but it does get cold here.

Somewhere I read the brake boosters are notorious for leaks, I would put a rebuilt master cylinder and a rebuilt brake booster on it and then flush out the whole system with rubbing alcohol clean all the pipes out replace all the flexible rubber hoses with new ones from RockAuto hook it all backed up together and refill the whole system with Dot 5 silicone brake fluid. I guess you're not doing your own work, but that's what I would do due to the ice cold since brake fluid is hydroscopic if it gets water in it it will freeze but the Silicon brake fluid is not hydroscopic so it would not freeze. I do it to all my foreign cars that are notorious for rust in the system. But none of my American cars have done it to yet but that kind of weather that is probably the only thing that might be helpful to prevent freezing of the actual brake fluid. It's what the military does to tanks and stuff that's going to sit for years and when they need it it needs to work instead of needing the systems to be overhauled from sitting.

Is your car colored ginger glow metallic? My first car was a 76 Landau Coupe with a 460 police interceptor engine. Take care of it, and it will take care of you. FYI I think your brake booster diaphragm is busted. Cheers from Alabama.

Will it start, it has a better chance of starting and has a longer shelf life and overall long lively compared to todays toilet cars, the wind up, 5 year life span vehicle that you flush when done, that car will last another 50 before its all done. Try and see todays junk last that long 😂
