Germany Bicycling: Waldstein Ochsenkopf Loop 4K

We are visiting Upper Franconia, Germany, where we will see rolling hills, minor mountains, fields and forests . Starting out in Himmelkron, the ride first rises out of the White Main valley and onto the higher elevations of the Frankenwald. After passing through Muenchberg, we set our aims for the first peak, the Waldstein. The road becomes gravelly as we reach closer to the peak and a short section of single track awaits us on the descent. Upon passing the Weissenstaedter Lake, we head towards and pass between the Ochsenkopf and Schneeberg, the tallest peaks in the area. After the resort town of Bischofsgruen, we find a secluded bicycle path following downstream the White Main river and returning us back to our starting location.
